KUNG WO BEANCURD FACTORY - HONGKONG
If you are a soybeans lover , must go and try!
I was not expecting much from how touristy it looked at first, but I’m a soy beancurd lover so would like to try! It’s in a really bus street- Sham Shui Po MTR, just 2 minutes walk you can reach the shop.
I ordered soy beancurd dessert, soy milk and a plate of fried toufu and tofu puffs. Everything came super fast , hot and fresh. The tofu puff is so amazing! So crispy and inside so soft and taste very soy. Tried with the chilli they have in the table!
But the soy beancurd dessert not what I expected as not smooth and it is still tasty.
recommended to try! #mytriplog #hongkong #hongkong #beancurd #soymilk #Toufu
Ex sham Shui po service reservoir
#Ex sham Shui po service reservoir is around 10 minutes walk from Shek Kip mei mtr station a1 exit . Need to walk up the stairs to reach the top and went underground to the reservoir. Is like going back to time went visit this Roman style reservoir.is Rich in history . I love the architecture of the reservoir . You scan the QR code to listen to the history and introduction of the reservoir can chose English or Chinese . And after finish the tour they give out souvenirs.
Sham Shui Po’s open-air street markets
Sham Shui Po’s street markets are a fantastic way to experience the lively local culture.
For fashion lovers, the place to go is the clothes market on and around Cheung Sha Wan Road. Bargains galore with everything including menswear, outdoor wear, and accessories and women’s clothes. Ki Lung Street has bags, outdoor clothes, fabrics and also a lot of butchers and dried food stalls. Prices are very low and it’s worth rifling through the rails to snap up a bargain.

Artcraft stuff in Sham Shui Po 🎀🪢🪡🧵🧶
If you are looking for ribbons, cord, rope, big/small, thin/thick, colorful/not, for decoration or Artcraft, Sham Shui Po is the right place to find all this stuff.
From Sham Shui Po MTR exit A2, cross the road, and get onto Yu Chau Street junction. After the traffic light, you will see some shops selling beads 📿and kinds of Arfcraft stuff.
1 min walking from the junction, you will find this shop, Wing Fung Industrial (Hong Kong) Limited . I get into this shop and find rows of racks and hanging from the racks are rolls of cord, rope, ribbons, and the like. They come in different sizes, shapes, colors 🌈, textures, patterns. Roaming around from one rack to another isnkind of resfreshing 😍😍 .

Memories on the wall
I went to this restaurant on Ki Lung street, Lo Fung Restaurant.
Overall, I love the decoration. And I think it brings up memories when looking at the pictures hanging on the wall.
I was in a rush, so I ordered a simple meal. I just realized after that when I saw delicious food served to a woman seated next to me. Ahh, I missed the signature dish on the menu. It was food served in the bread bowl 🥯🥣. Hmmm, I'm thinking about coming again next time.
No worry if you can't read Chinese since the menu has an English translation.
How to get there:
Take MTR to Sham Shui Po, and get off by exit A2. Cross Yu Chau street, and walk along until you are on Ki Lung street. Turn left, the restaurant on your left-hand side.

Eco-friendly cafe in Sham Shui Po
If you’re planning on going cafe-hopping in Sham Shui Po, eco-conscious @loopkulture should definitely be on your list 💌
There is a constant queue outside this wooden cafe full of lush greenery, so make sure to go a bit earlier to skip the wait 😉 Or you could kill some time by browsing through all the organic food products on sale (remember to bring your own container) ♻️
[Caramelized Banana Pain Perdu]
Although we were super hungry, we just couldn’t resist taking countless pics of this aesthetically-pleasing dish against the leafy backdrop 📷
A stunning composition of edible flowers and colorful fruits (i.e. figs, blueberries, red pomegranate seeds), the contrast of the cold earl gray gelato to the hot puffy French toast was just heavenly 👼🏻
[Avocado Pistachio Milk]
The pistachio flavor stood out over the avocado while the crunchy nuts added some texture to the smooth mild-tasting drink. Not super thirst-quenching, but certainly a healthy choice 👍🏻

The Soulroom (Sham Shui Po)
With a resident tarot reader, tarot card inspired drinks and a large moon 🌕 hanging from the ceiling, @the_soulroom_coffee stands out from its coffee shop neighbours in Sham Shui Po by offering a serene ambiance intended to purify your mind and body ✨
As the last stop of our cafe-hopping journey that day, we only ordered drinks and a dessert to share, but they do serve ‘big chews’ (i.e. sandwiches and bagels) if you’re hungry 😝
[𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬]
Both lemonades had a fizzy base, but we preferred the refreshing seasonal cucumber one over the sweeter signature ‘The Lovers’ one 🍋🥒
[𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐭]
The lemon tea tart was a bit too sour as the earl grey tea flavour was not that prominent. Extra points for the beautiful crescent plate though 🌙

Probably the most instagrammable indoor bouldering gym in HK
Conveniently located 5 minutes away from the MTR and a handful of eateries (including Ppalli Ppalli, Poke Go and Homey Dumpling), Sheung Shan opened its doors in November last year.
There are 3 walls on the lower floor with routes of various grades that are reset twice per month. The washroom is beautifully and conveniently designed with a rock foot wash station. Lockers are free to use but a little bit difficult to pull open.
The upper floor offers a resting area, changing room and periodic events, such as exhibitions, talks and yoga stretching classes.
The staff are super friendly and willing to teach anyone, so don’t worry if you’ve never bouldered before.
Although they are currently closed due to COVID restrictions, be sure to check out their Instagram for updates!

No Milkshake No Life (Sham Shui Po)
We were delighted to discover @nomilkshakenolife nearby the foot of Garden Hill, so we stopped by for some re-energizing milkshakes after a brisk walk up 💦
After waiting for around half an hour, we finally got a nice seat by the windows 🪟 When we were buying our drinks at the cashier, they told us that there was a $70 minimum charge per person for dine-in, so we got some add-ons like extra whipped cream/oats (+$4 each) 🤓
[𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞]
We were blown away by the perfectly balanced bitter-sweetness of the matcha flavour that pleasantly lingered after each sip 🍵The ultra thick and creamy texture made the milkshake quite filling though, so it felt like we had a whole meal after drinking the entire thing…
[𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞]
First time trying their boozy options and this was such a guilty pleasure 🍹The distinctive Baileys cream liqueur was quite prominent while the almond crunches (plus our extra oats) added a chewy texture and nutty flavour to the indulgent beverage 🥜

The beverages provided by "Milk Bar Cafe" include coffee, tea and juice that are common in cafes, as well as four original beverages from the "Milk Bar Special" series. In addition, the store also offers the option of making drinks with oat milk.

Hero’s Friday (Sham Shui Po)
It’s not our first time at @heros_friday, but their hero-themed burgers never fail to impress us 🥰 We got takeaway from their Sham Shui Po branch (only the Central branch offers dine-in) and went to a nearby park to appreciate the nice weather these days ☀️
Each burger comes with a side (french fries, hash brown or butter corn) and a drink (we got soda from the fridge) 🥤
[𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨’𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫]
We’ll admit… we ordered this #forthegram 😌 Standing at 11cm tall, this massive burger was loaded with bacon, cheese, egg, double 5oz 100% pure beef patty, lettuce and tomato and the homemade hero’s sauce 🤤 It was practically impossible to fit everything in one bite, but still darn delicious when deconstructed!
[𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫]
Going back to basics, the classic burger puts the spotlight directly on the incredibly juicy patty and the secret hero’s sauce (we’re guessing honey mustard?) that make their burgers stand out from the rest 🤙🏻

Hei Yuen Bakery (Sham Shui Po)
Didn’t really get the hype about castella cakes until tasting authentic ones from @heiyuen_bakery 🤯
Freshly baked daily with less sugar and oil, we were astonished by the 150+ flavors available, including some unique ones like coriander and durian 😳 And if that’s not enough, you can even customize your own flavor combination and request for a 💛 design. No wonder we saw so many pre-orders waiting to be collected when we visited
[𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐚]
Moist and spongy, the cake itself was loaded with pandan flavor and the middle homemade kaya jam layer had a hint of coconut 🥥 It tasted equally amazing even if not reheated, so of course we devoured it before the 3 days expiry
[‘𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐝’ 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞]
If you haven’t guessed why the cake is called ‘scouring pad’ already, the seaweed sprinklings on top of the soft cheese base perfectly resembles its name 🧀 There was a little seaweed overload, so we brushed a bit off to better savor the pillow-like cake that just melted in our mouths and the pandan kaya jam layer 🤤
🌟Tip: Collect 12 stamps to get $55 off the bill. If you have a senior card, you’ll get a $5 discount. 🤑

Passed by on a late Saturday afternoon and was immediately attracted by the design of their store front, so we decided to give it a try as there was no queue.
It is a very elegant shop with bookshelves and a piano. We were lucky enough to enjoy a live piano performance by another customer, making our stay even more unique (🔔 tip: use books as photo props)
Those who love unsweetened food will love it here! The basque cheese cake was a bit too burnt, but the oat tofu cake was just on point and we really loved the biscuit base.
The floral tea was super instagrammable as they used aesthetic glass teapots. We also appreciated the fact that they used bamboo straws, making an effort to save the environment
Drop by for a chill afternoon, especially if you want an audience for your music 🎶

Hongkong the best!
There’s a hole in my heart that only Hong Kong can fill.
Perhaps it’s because of the fact that it is the first foreign city that I explored on my own for leisure and the first foreign destination I have visited more than once. (Singapore was my first overseas destination, but I was there to attend an awards show.) I had been to Hong Kong four times now, and I’m set to return later this month.
Looking back, having my international travel debut in Hong Kong isn’t a bad idea at all. This “modern and futuristic city” is a great destination for a first out-of-the-country trip. The culture is not too different to be alienating but not too similar to be boring. It is connected by an impressive, expansive systems of transportation — from its world-class airport terminals to its vast train network to its reliable bus system. They have all their major tourist attractions easily accessible. They also make the cities very friendly to kids and elderly, an important criterion for ideal family vacations. All these combined make it one of the best foreign cities for first-time overseas traveler.

Sham Shui Po is considered to be a poor and old neighbourhood in Hong Kong. However, it is a popular place for locals and tourists to go to because it has many street markets, electronics outlets, delicious restaurants, etc. The Golden Computer Shopping Arcade is a popular destination to bargain for electronics and accessories!

Come to Hong Kong to experience the authentic atmosphere of Hong Kong and the real life atmosphere. What you can't miss is the deep waters, and the crowded streets are full of human touch.
Here is a well-known restaurant and a variety of street foods. Look at the tabloid gossip at the newsstand, buy a rich ice cream, eat the fish and eat the geese, and pretend to walk on the TVB studio. Here is the nostalgic and nostalgic. The film "Infernal Affairs", "Peach Sister", "Transformers 4" have been here.
Hong’s Dessert Sham Shui Po
#winhkflight
Hong's Dessert in Sham Shui Po is a sweet oasis in the bustling streets of Hong Kong. This dessert shop may seem modest from the outside, but once you step inside, you're transported to a world of tantalizing flavors and sweet treats.
The menu at Hong's Dessert offers a wide variety of traditional Hong Kong desserts, from silky-smooth puddings to refreshing shaved ice creations. One standout dish is their signature mango pomelo sago, a delightful concoction of creamy mango puree, tangy pomelo, and chewy sago pearls, served chilled for a refreshing burst of flavor. Each spoonful is a harmonious blend of sweet and tart, with the luscious mango providing a tropical twist that's sure to leave you craving more.
Sun Heung Yuen (Kin Kee) HK
#winhkflight
Sun Heung Yuen, also known as Kin Kee, is a beloved neighborhood eatery tucked away in the vibrant streets of Hong Kong. This unassuming restaurant may not boast flashy decor or fancy ambiance, but what it lacks in aesthetics, it more than makes up for in flavor and authenticity.
The menu at Sun Heung Yuen features a variety of classic Hong Kong-style comfort foods, with a focus on hearty breakfast options and traditional noodle dishes. One standout dish is their signature beef brisket noodle soup, which boasts tender slices of beef brisket swimming in a rich and flavorful broth, accompanied by springy noodles and a generous sprinkling of fresh green onions. Each spoonful is a comforting reminder of home-cooked goodness, perfect for warming up on a chilly Hong Kong morning or satisfying a late-night craving.
In addition to their noodle dishes, Sun Heung Yuen also offers a variety of other mouthwatering options, including fluffy scrambled eggs with char siu (barbecue pork), crispy toast slathered with condensed milk, and piping hot bowls of congee topped with century egg and shredded pork. Whatever you choose, you can be sure that each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, using only the freshest ingredients and time-honored cooking techniques.
Take a city walk in Hong Kong
Next stop, arriving in Hong Kong.
It's my third time in Hong Kong, and this weekend was supposed to be about helping a friend with a credit card application. However, unexpectedly, it's Easter holiday, so it was a wasted trip. Instead, let's have a Hong Kong City walk.
Perhaps it's because I'm Cantonese and grew up watching Hong Kong films, I've always had a special affection for Hong Kong. I can always find fragments of childhood memories in the streets and alleys of Hong Kong, warm and nostalgic.
First stop: Sham Shui Po Apliu Street.
I usually visit the Central and Causeway Bay areas in Hong Kong, which are bustling but lack some of the Hong Kong flavor. Sham Shui Po reveals the essence of life, stripped of the bustling decorations.
Here I ate at Ah Yat Tofu and Sun Heung Yuen. Ah Yat Tofu is very generous with its ingredients, with a strong bean flavor and a light beany taste, but it's all sweet here, so be cautious if you can't handle sweet tofu desserts! (Personally, I prefer the softer ones). Sun Heung Yuen really offers great value for money. My friend and I ordered pig's trotter noodles, beef brisket noodles, and egg beef sandwiches. The noodles are very chewy and the portions are generous (the same portion and price are almost the same as in Guangzhou), the pig's trotter is soft and melts in your mouth, and the beef brisket is very flavorful. Compared to their signature dishes, they seem a bit ordinary.
Second stop: Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
To understand a city, you must first understand its history and culture. Jin Yong's martial arts novels and unique film art are important parts of Hong Kong culture. The artworks are also very interesting. It's hard to believe that these are artworks from 50 years ago. I recommend everyone to go and see for themselves to gain a deeper understanding of Hong Kong.
Third stop: Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Located next to Victoria Harbour, you need to purchase tickets at the self-service ticket machine on the first floor. A regular ticket costs 55 yuan and allows access to galleries 1-6. Galleries 7-9 require an additional ticket (the Palace Museum galleries are also inside). Most of the exhibits are from the Ming and Qing dynasties (I wonder if they were all 'taken' by the British army), and you can also see the opulence of the Qing era. There are also a few private exhibits. I recommend it to anyone interested in or with a good understanding of Qing dynasty history, as you can basically learn about the life of the Qing royal family.
A Creative Blend of Elegance and Quirkiness
#winhkflight
Stepping into "雅俗共想," visitors are immediately struck by the shop's eclectic ambiance. The decor is a mix of modern minimalism and whimsical touches, with sleek shelves displaying an array of products ranging from clothing and accessories to home decor and novelty items.
One of the standout features of "雅俗共想" is its commitment to creativity and innovation. The shop showcases products from both established brands and emerging designers, offering customers a curated selection of unique and offbeat items that can't be found elsewhere. Whether you're searching for a statement piece to elevate your wardrobe or a quirky gift for a friend, you're bound to find something that catches your eye.
The shop's merchandise reflects a diverse array of styles, from elegant and sophisticated to bold and avant-garde. This diversity ensures that there's something for everyone, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
Incredible underground structure in Sham Shui Po, that lay undiscovered for decades
The Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir is now open for public visits and makes for a fascinating half-day trip in Hong Kong. The architecture evokes Ancient Rome or Greece rather than modern Hong Kong, the staff are friendly, and the audio guide is educational. It's a great idea afterwards to explore the neighboring area and grab a drink at some of the new cafes that have been popping up recently. #shamshuipo #reservoir #hiddengem

Coffee omakase experience
Flow
195 Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po 深水埗大南街195號
Sham Shui Po has recently become a haven for new cafés and coffee shops. Located on a lively corner of an already buzzing neighbourhood, at the intersection of Tainan Street and Shek Kip Mei street, Flow provides coffee with only single origin coffee bean since July 2020, together with other coffee shops within the “new Brooklyn” district of Sham Shui Po.
Flow regularly changes its coffee bean menu and bar table seating, hoping to provide an Omakase-like coffee experience to all the coffee lovers.
They will bring along their bean menu for you to pick your own favourite bean. This time I picked Costa Rica- Ca Martin, and then chose to have dirty from it.
Tasting notes:
【Origin】Costa Rica
【Varieties】Centroamericano
【Processing】Anaerobic Natural
【Roasting Level】Light Roast
【Flavour】Marraschino Cherry
Flow gave me a peaceful environment. There was a foreigner and a local lady working on their notebook.
A perfect weekend in Hong Kong.
