"The 25-30 square meter room was very comfortable. We're a family of three visiting Changsha and stayed for four days and three nights. The owner's service was very thoughtful, with free laundry and drying facilities all provided. Across the street is the Xiang River, perfect for enjoying the night view, and in the morning, you can even rent a bike for a fantastic ride along the river. Room 8207, highly recommended! đ"

"This hotel boasts excellent facilities. The modern Nordic design is sophisticated and elegant, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. With smart home controls throughout, a Serta mattress, and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, my stay was incredibly comfortable. The service was absolutely impeccable; the butler was attentive and thoughtful, proactively upgraded my room, and provided a welcome fruit platter. Responses were always prompt and efficient. Breakfast was incredibly lavish, featuring local specialties like Hengyang rice noodles and fish noodles alongside Western options. The freshly ground coffee was delicious â every bite and sip was a pleasant surprise. The amenities are comprehensive, including a 24-hour gym and free laundry service, making it suitable for both business and leisure. I forgot to take photos of some areas, but if you're visiting Hengyang, you must stay here. Highly recommended!"

"We really liked the hotel! The owner or receptionist (not sure which one was her) was really nice! she helped us with everything, from how we can go one place to another to raincoats, maps, tickets. She literally helped us with everything. The location is really good, only 1-2 minutes walking distance to Tianmen Mountain shuttle bus and cablecar location. Lots of restaurants around, pretty central. It was really quiet, we didnât have any problem. There is no fridge inside the rooms but we were only going to hotel to sleep, so it wasnât a problem for us. I highly recommend! đ¤"

"I had a great rest today, and they even extended my check-out time for free until 3:00 PM. The transportation is very convenient, with a subway station nearby, and snack shops and convenience stores right downstairs. Overall, it's excellent. The front desk staff are particularly enthusiastic. Do you still have small gifts at your hotel? The air conditioning is very strong, and the room also has a cooling Xiao Du (smart device). I rested very well. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in the area. There are also cocktails and health porridge available, all of which are fantastic."

Itâs the kind of place where even a short stroll becomes part of the experience.
The ponds are a highlight. Theyâre not just decorative; they create a calming atmosphere that carries throughout the lodge. Sitting by the water in the early morning or at sunset is especially memorable, with only the sounds of birds and the occasional ripple breaking the silence.
The rooms continue that same sense of comfort and simplicity. Built with timber elements, they feel warm and grounded rather than overly polished. Inside, everything is thoughtfully arrangedâclean, spacious, and equipped with the essentials for a relaxing stay. Large windows often bring in views of the gardens or ponds, making it easy to feel connected to the outdoors even when youâre inside.
The service was outstanding. All my needs and questions were answered promptly.

BBethany_sI had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier.
Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle.
Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!

The location is truly exceptional; you can reach the riverside in just a 1-minute walk, which is perfect for morning and evening strolls and enjoying the river views. The room is clean and tidy, the environment is quiet and comfortable, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. Choosing this place for your travels makes everything so easy, and it's great for taking photos too. I've included some real-life pictures, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. Miss Wendy (who is the front desk manager and looks like the only one who spoke English) was exceptionalâfriendly, attentive, and incredibly proactive. Wendy anticipated our needs, provided helpful local recommendations, allowed us to choose the room we preferred, and even helped us to select tickets to the national park without any hassle.
The room had a fantastic view of the mountains, which made the stay feel very special. Breakfast was outstandingâeasily a 10/10âwith a wide selection and a beautiful view from the restaurant.
The location is also a major plus: very close to the train station and extremely convenient for both the airport and train stations. As an added bonus, there is restaurants nearby, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the evenings.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. Because of the Wendy we extended our trip in this hotel for another week.

KKasiaGendekAbsolutely wonderful accommodation! The staff was very helpful and assisted us in purchasing tickets for Tianmen Mountain and the National Park. The location is excellent, close to pleasant restaurants and Tianmen Mountain, while the National Park is about a 40-minute drive away (via DiDi). Most importantly: the views from the mountain-facing rooms are breathtaking! It is a wonderful feeling to wake up to such a view!

GGuest UserI planned to tour the Glass Bridge thinking it was the same as the forest park. I had no idea the forest park was something completely unique. When we arrived at the hotel, our host explained everything about the different tours. Thanks to him, we were able to see Tianmen Mountain on the day of arrival and I changed my tour plans so that I could visit the forest park. I have never been to a hotel where they explain tours in such detail. Beyond friendly. Great service. Great breakfast. If you want an affordable place to stay that is near all the attractions, I highly recommend this hotel.

11726436714This guesthouse boasts absolutely stunning views and a beautiful, serene, and comfortable environment â truly on par with high-end luxury lodges abroad, but without the exorbitant price tag. The restaurant is also fantastic; I ate there for three days straight because the food was so good I didn't want to eat anywhere else. What really sets them apart, though, is their service. It's not the rigid, formal service you find at a five-star hotel; instead, it's incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always putting the guest's needs first. For example, if we ordered too much food, the restaurant would even proactively help us figure out how to save it for our next meal. Every other service detail was just as impressive â any request was met with a helpful response. It was such a comfortable and personalized experience. Getting to the West Gate of the Forest Park from here is also very convenient, as the guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services. They also provide incredibly detailed and professional advice based on your itinerary, making it completely stress-free for first-time visitors. I will definitely be back!

WWailiwangStaying at Wotianju this trip was a delightful surprise! It's incredibly close to all the attractions, basically within ten minutes. We drove there ourselves, and the hotel itself is unbelievably huge â you even need to drive to get around inside! The front desk also gave us a free room upgrade, which made us really not want to leave. The hotel pays attention to details everywhere: the butler service is super responsive and on-call, the welcome fruit was chilled, and even a simple blanched lettuce at the Chinese restaurant was delicious. You can tell the chef really knows their stuff â it was fresh and not greasy. You could easily just stay at the hotel for all your eating, drinking, and entertainment needs. There's a huge lawn, and reading a book and having tea by the river under the trees was just incredibly relaxing; time just seemed to slow down. After dinner, we'd go swimming and then soak in the hot springs. Honestly, even though it's an outdoor hot spring, the cleanliness was excellent. Back where we're from, a hot spring of this quality for two people would cost about the same as a night's stay! I forgot my facial cleanser when we left, and the butler even arranged for SF Express to send it home â absolutely perfect! You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into the hotel's construction, design, and staff management. I would definitely come back to Zhangjiajie just for this hotel again. A hundred points!

KKkoozzooWe had an amazing time at this hotel. Staff member Rain was very helpful and very friendly. Our room was pretty big and beautiful. The wooden details and furniture and bets are great. The pool is truly amazing. There are two pools one of the pools is heated and has an insane view on the mountains, incredible! The food is also really great and tasty. Itâs located on the west side of the avatar mountains, the hotel helped us to bring up to the entrance multiple times. Highly do recommend to stay here because of staff the location the beautiful villas and amazing pool. Breakfast is also really good. Highly recommend.
