GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Capella Sydney.
Our sincere thanks to Rebecca Chan and Kelly Huang for thoughtfully arranging our rooms and making our family feel so warmly welcomed. We would also like to thank Monica Cisneros for the delicious macarons—they were a lovely and thoughtful surprise.
We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the hotel’s elegant interior, which beautifully combines classic heritage character with refined modern design. Every detail made the stay feel calm, comfortable, and special.
Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience. Capella Sydney will definitely be our first choice whenever we have the opportunity to return to Sydney.

GGuest UserOverall, the hotel was very spacious and in a nice, convenient location. Metro was across the road, Macq shopping centre was only a 15 minute walk, and they had their own cafe that is open on weekends too.
However, I was highly disappointed with their service. Their staff were not very friendly. No smiles, and I even felt judged by one of the ladies when I checked out. Of the 5 or so staff that I encountered, I only got one smile. I think they could do with some customer service training. The shower gel in the shower was also completely empty and the requests I asked for was completely ignored, but I get that they’re requested and not going to always be fulfilled. The casting for the TV had some issues, but didn’t matter to us.
Aside from those though, when we did ask for things to be done, they were able to follow instructions.
We would stay again if there was a discount.

The staff were friendly and polite, check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were quick to provide assistance when needed. The hotel's location was convenient, with good transportation and dining options nearby. Overall, it's great value for money and I had a very comfortable stay. I would consider staying here again next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it to other travelers!

BBretRI thought this hotel was great! Friendly staff at check in, the bar and cleaning staff. Rooms were comfy with appropriate amenities for this class of hotel and price point. Breakfast was repetitive, but the taste was good. Our bed was 2 singles pushed together which I think the hotel should think about changing as it was clear when you fell into the crevice between them. Didn’t use the pool or gym because of the weather, but would. Easy access to metro, Oxford Street and other downtown areas.

GGuest UserOK for one night.
The hotel is above the pub, which is also very busy in the afternoon.
There is also live music there on Sundays until around 9 p.m.
Everything is perfectly fine, unless you have room 10 next to the washing machine/dryer and sleep next to the ventilation. Even though drying and washing is not allowed after 9 p.m., it was very annoying.
The hotel rooms face the back, so in the morning you also have the noise from the loading area of the supermarket.
On the positive side, the room was in a modern condition and the staff were all very nice.
The beach is a ten-minute walk away.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe location is not bad for getting around by train, especially since it's halfway between Central and Town Hall, and you can take a tram. All the staff are friendly. I booked breakfast for two even though I was traveling alone because there wasn't a single-person option. It was clean and good, but the menu rarely changed, so I felt it was a bit overpriced. There was a washing machine on the 3rd floor, but I couldn't find a dryer, which was a shame (though I might have just missed it). It was also disappointing that I couldn't open the windows in clean-aired Sydney. Nevertheless, for expensive Sydney, I think I booked a good quality hotel at a relatively affordable price. If I go again, I'd be willing to stay here. I hope the areas for improvement can be addressed!

Very Good
SSakura7iI booked a single room, and the bed was incredibly small. The soundproofing was terrible, and the blanket was very thin, so I had to ask for another one. The room was cold, with no AC, only a fan, and the light even took a second to turn on. However, the cleanliness was what you'd expect for 300 AUD in Sydney – average, neither good nor bad. The picture is of the bathroom. The service, though, was good; the staff were very friendly and pleasant.

GGuest UserPerfect stay in the heart of Burwood! The location can’t be beaten—walking distance to Westfield Mall, Burwood Park, and countless Asian eateries. The guesthouse has a charming historic vibe with polished wooden floors, plus modern perks like free WiFi and a coin-operated laundry. The host was super friendly and helped us store luggage after check-out.
