He finally got a position as a junior military officer in the Right Guard Rate's office, but the next month the Anshi Rebellion broke out. After that, Du Fu's life was even more difficult. He wanted to follow Emperor Suzong, but like Wang Wei, he became a scapegoat and was captured by the rebels, and for a time all news was cut off, it is imaginable how difficult it was for his wife, who was struggling to survive with their children.
