One-person Lane

One person lane is located in Sanhe Ancient Town. It’s a great place to visit located not too far from the city of Hefei. There are plenty of shops where you can buy gifts and snacks.

The people on both sides of the alley, long ago, called the long-lived alley "one person alley", the name of "one person alley" is thus obtained.

One lane, one day. Visiting Sanhe "One Lane" in the ancient town, you might as well enjoy the bluestone slab road, grey brick houses and ancient Hui style buildings there. There are ten streets and twenty-six lanes in Sanhe ancient town. One of the lanes is the oldest, longest and most famous. This is One Lane because the lane is very narrow, can only allow one person to pass through, but also because this lane out of a world famous person - 1957 Nobel Prize winner Dr. Yang Zhenning. Yang Zhenning's mother, Ms. Luo Menghua, is from Sanhe. After Yang Zhenning was born, his father, Yang Wuzhi, went abroad to study. His mother often took him back to live in Sanhe. After his father returned home, he took one of them to Xiamen University and Tsinghua University to teach. Yang Zhenning studied with his father in Peiping. In 1937, after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War and the fall of Peiping, Yang Zhenning returned to Hefei with his parents to study in Luzhou Middle School. In order to avoid enemy bombing, the school moved to Sanhe Zhangjia Temple. Yang Zhenning rented a house at the end of one person's Lane in Sanhe.
