Maowusu Desert

The Maowusu Desert is one of the four major sandy areas in China. It is located between Yulin area of Shaanxi Province and Ordos City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, covering an area of 4.22 10,000 square kilometers. It is located at 37°27.5′ ~ 39°22.5′ ~ 107°20′ ~ 111°30′ ~. Including the southern part of Ordos in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the northern wind and sand area of Yulin City in Shaanxi Province and the northeast of Yanchi County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. There is more precipitation and favorable plant growth. It is originally a more developed area for animal husbandry. The area of fixed and semi-fixed dunes is large. The Great Wall runs from east to west through the southern edge of the desert.

In the north of Tongwancheng, which is far from the Jingbian of northern Shaanxi, is the Maowusu sand land of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It was originally called a desert. Due to the successful management, it was used to be called a sand land. Today is not the same as before, okay.

The desert surrounded by oasis, formerly called Camel City, is very suitable for tourism after being transformed. Friends who like the desert must not miss it.
