Xiaojing is the site of the Red Fourth Army Hospital, where the red wounded and sick are raised. During the Jinggangshan period, an enemy took a trail into Jinggangshan area and brutally killed all the Red Army wounded and sick here. A memorial to the martyrs was built next to the hospital to commemorate the sacrifice of the Red Army soldiers.
