The present Kamishidanami area in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya City, where burial mounds have been built throughout the Kofun period. The ６６ tumulus, which is about ３ minutes １ for the whole of Nagoya City, has been confirmed. The Shidami Kofun tumulus cluster is a keyhole shaped tomb mound, a sailing shell type tumulus, and a round tomb and a square tomb in the order of high rank. The Shidanmi Otsuka Kofun tumulus, a nationally designated historic site, is a scallop-shaped tumulus with a length of about ５１ meters, and is full of spectacular marks. There are about 30 large and small burial mounds in the Shidami burial mounds. Otsuka burial mound, Shiratorizuka burial mound, and Katsutezuka burial mound are famous. Even if there is a moat, there is no water, and all are moderately sized. The Shiratorizuka Kofun tumulus was not only filled with soil, but also covered with white quartz rounded on the top.
