艾葉古鎮

Aiye Ancient Town is famous for salt and flourishes because of the beach. It is the salt origin of Zigongjing, an important part of Zigong's famous historical and cultural city and an important area of Gongjing Ancient City. It is also the composition area of Zigong World Geopark. It is known as the first beach of salt transportation and the origin of "Bali Qinhuai". The current ancient town pattern was formed in the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1851-1861), located at the westernmost end of Zigong Salt Farm, built along the Lishui River, extending north and south, and has always been the hub and the key to the land-based salt transportation. Now retaining Pingkang Bridge, Pingkang Temple, Aiyetan Wharf and Cross Street, Tiangongtang, Donghanya Tombs and many other relics. In 2013, Aiyetan Wharf was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. In 2013, Lijiaqiao Community in the town was selected as a "Chinese traditional village". In 2014, the ancient town was selected as the "Chinese historical and cultural town".
