Love this place! Great for families and children
This classic Orlando establishment is definitely for the kids…and for the kids at heart! Where to begin? This fun, interactive museum is divided into seven exhibit spaces which cover topics such as dinosaurs, space, engineering, and even a “Science Park” where visitors can engage in plenty of fun interactive activities. There are also Science Stations dotted throughout the center which display live demonstrations (fun AND educational), the Crosby Observatory where guests can see as far as our solar system through Florida’s largest available telescope (and through other minor telescopes), the Digital Adventure Theater, the Dr. Phillips Cinedome, live animal interactions and exhibits, and much, much more. For just a rate of $17.00 for students (with ID) and $19.00 for “adults” 12+, this cultural gem is more than worth the visit.
The Orlando Science Center accurately calls itself a "a place that inspires curiosity and exploration." The building is open every day except Wednesday, and features exciting, interactive exhibits. Some, such as "NatureWorks" and "DinoDigs" are stationary; however, the Center also hosts a fun array of nationally traveling exhibits as well.
There is a lot of exhibits and and a fine subway in the food court. You will stay occupied and is a good place for families and researchers.
The Orlando Science Center has inspired visitors about science for over fifty years. It's great for families and students in that it encourages learning about science in a fun way.
