Kaiyuan

Kaiyuan City is in the northeast of Liaoning Province, midway along the eastern side of the Liao River. The city is home to attractions such as Xianzhou Old City, Xiangya Hill Scenic Area, and Bailuzhou Wildlife Sanctuary. Xianzhou Old City has over 1000 years of history. The town is famous as an example of ancient northeastern-style architecture. Kaiyuan is one of the northeast’s most famous cities of historical and cultural importance. History books call it “an important site during the time of the Six Dynasties and the capital of the Three Kingdoms era.”
