Sheyang County is located on the stunning coast of the Yellow Sea, which borders the western Pacific Ocean and is well known from the song Red-Crowned Crane. Sheyang is among the main waterways flowing to the sea in Jiangsu Province. It has many rivers crossing through it, and is known for the quality of its water. As a famous water town in the Lixiahe region of northern Jiangsu, the scenery here is simply stunning. Sheyang also has rich cultural resources. Zhang Jian, a pioneer from the late Qing dynasty, developed the area, while the legendary stories of Hou Yi Shooting the Sun and Jingwei Filling the Sea came into being here.
