Yi Garden is a relatively niche Suzhou garden located at No. 1265 Renmin Road, not far from Guanqian Street, with an admission fee of 15 yuan, free for those with a Suzhou Garden Card. Yi Garden was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and is a key cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou City and Jiangsu Province. The garden is not too large, covering over 6,000 square meters, but it incorporates features from various gardens, such as the corridors imitating the Canglang Pavilion, the pool emulating the Master of the Nets Garden, the rockery learning from the Huanxiu Villa, the grottoes mimicking the Lion Grove, and the dry boat resembling the Humble Administrator's Garden. The layout is natural, with delicate and elegant pavilions, terraces, and waterside pavilions, and the mountains, pools, flowers, and trees are sparse and pleasant. It absorbs the strengths of various gardens, cleverly arranges the landscape, and has its own style, which can be called a masterpiece. In addition, the walls of Yi Garden's corridors are inlaid with 101 stone carvings of calligraphy by historical calligraphers such as Wang Xizhi, Huai Su, and Mi Fu, known as the 'Yi Garden Calligraphy Steles'. They are concentrated on the long corridor south of the 'Hua Fang Zhai' in the western part. Just the 'Jade Pillow' Lanting and the 'Five Gentlemen of the Eastern Forest' calligraphy albums are rare treasures. Although Yi Garden is not as crowded as the Humble Administrator's Garden, there are still quite a few visitors, with Hanfu-clad beauties taking photos everywhere. During the Song Dynasty, Jia Sidao obtained a copy that was no different from the original, which was meticulously carved onto the jade pillow by craftsmen over a year and a half, preserving Wang Xizhi's authentic work, which is extremely precious. 3⃣️ Baishi Pavilion, also known as Suihan Caolu: — As the main building of the eastern garden, Song Dynasty's Mi Fu was obsessed with stones and would bow to any strange stone he saw, hence the name 'Mi Dian Baishi,' and the pavilion was named 'Baishi Pavilion' because of the many strange stones in the courtyard to the north. The stacked rocks in the northwest part refer to the Huanxiu Villa, with the Lion's Den Gorge, winding paths, and bizarre caves.

The lilacs are not common in Suzhou, but there is an ancient purple lilac in the courtyard of the Plum Blossom Hall in Yi Garden, which is currently in bloom with an overwhelming fragrance, even attracting mosquitoes to dance chaotically. Yiyuan was built in the late Qing Dynasty from 1874 to 1882. Gu Wenbin, the Ning Shao Tai Dao of Zhejiang, built it for nine years on the ruins of the old house of Wu Kuan, a minister of the Ming Dynasty, and spent 200,000 taels of silver to complete it. It was named Yiyuan, meaning 'brothers are harmonious', from the 'Analects of Confucius'. The garden was built under the supervision of Gu Wenbin's third son, Gu Cheng, with the participation of painters Ren Fuchang, Gu Yun, Wang Yun, Fan Yinquan, Cheng Tinglu, etc. Each stone and pavilion in the garden was first drafted, and then finalized after discussion with Gu Wenbin. After the garden was completed, many famous people in Jiangnan came to gather, and it was famous for a time. After the meeting, Li Zizhao made a long scroll of 'Yiyuan Guqin Meeting', and Wu Changshuo made a long title of 'Yiyuan Guqin Meeting' to commemorate its prosperity. Gu Lianshi inscribed a poem on the 'Yiyuan Guqin Meeting', which says 'When the moon is bright and the night is quiet, come to listen to the guqin flowing in the jade stream', which was a good story at that time. The whole event wrote a new chapter in the history of modern Chinese guqin. Since then, the 'Yiyuan Guqin Meeting' has become a regular activity for guqin friends to gather. In 1935, guqin players gathered in Yiyuan to promote and exchange guqin, and guqin players proposed to establish the 'Jin Yu Guqin Society'. However, due to wars and social unrest, the Yiyuan Guqin Meeting gradually faded away. After Gu Heyi's death, the garden gradually declined. During the Japanese puppet period, the destruction was particularly severe, and the antiques and calligraphy and paintings in the garden were looted. In the 1940s, Yiyuan was full of various plays and became a place of amusement, known as 'Suzhou's Great World'.
