龚永昕At this price point, it's fantastic value for money. I'd definitely return. Although the location is a bit far from GT, I would still consider it for future stays as it's not far from the commercial area, and transportation is decent.

Ratah501I booked a 4-person family room (with 2 beds) on the first floor for 2 nights. During checkout, the cleaning staff on the second floor were so loud it was impossible to relax. It really disturbed our rest because both the first and second floors have wooden flooring. However, the room walls were well soundproofed, so we didn't hear our neighbors. The beds were decent and comfortable enough. The shared bathroom wasn't too bad. The best part, though, was its location in the Street Art area, very close to the 'Children on a Swing' and 'Kids Playing Basketball' murals. We could walk there anytime, which was super convenient. It's also near the Chew Jetty Food Court. This is a great area to stay in. For future stays, I'd recommend booking a room on the second floor with a balcony.

Vivian NoraI mean what could possibly ask for a lot with this price but the location is convenient after all.The room is small & the toilet is just mobile toilet and the hair dryer was broken when we stayed there but they came & replace it with a new one in the morning.Check in is easy just with passcode but it’s hard to contact to property on time actually. The bed was not too soft but it’s okay for travelers.Overall Clearly needs renovation since the room is dusty & hallway is quite smell.

Guest UserFor travellers who travel by train, the location is excellent, walkable to the train station. Why walk when you can get a grab car easily? To walk off all the rich food we eat!
The hotel is also within walking distance to the ferry terminal (Penang Sentral). So if you arrive via ferry from Georgetown, no problem! I walked to the ferry terminal to take a ferry to Georgetown!
Adding to the convenience, there is a supermarket and self service laundromat near the hotel.
The hotel has a lift, which is convenient, if you are assigned a higher floor. No need to carry yourself and your luggage to your room. But no chance to work off the extra calories. I'm not complaining, though
Reception is 24 hours. I had to leave very early as I had an early train to catch, but was able to collect back the RM50 deposit. Oh yes, RM2 was collected during check in. Trip.com had informed me at the time of booking, so this is not a surprise to me
The room that was assigned to me is spacious. The bathroom is well laid out. Shower on one side, WC on another side and sink in the middle. Shower gel was provided. Shampoo was not provided. It might be because the gadget for the shampoo container was broken.
I booked a windowless room. But because it was spacious, I did not miss not having a window. I paid a higher price for my room, I don't know why my receipt showed a much lower price.
In summary, I would stay in this hotel again if I go again to Butterworth

Cindy Tan Swee HwaThe room was pretty good, but it was a shame there was only one pair of pillows and they were too soft. I forgot to take photos, but the overall experience was still quite good. The location is also convenient for getting around, though parking spaces are a bit limited.

A decent option for an overnight stay near the airport. It has good air conditioning, two ceiling fans, a shower with hot water, nice bedding and towels. There's a water cooler with hot and cold water (located in the smoking area), and an iron available at the front desk. They immediately provided a plug adapter at reception upon request. The staff are friendly.
A taxi from the hotel to the airport costs 10-15 ringgit.
Regarding the downsides: you have to take off your shoes at the hotel entrance, but they provide a shoe locker with a key to keep them secure. I was also given a room whose window faced the reception, specifically it was right behind the receptionist's back, but it was quiet at night and I managed to get a good night's sleep, so that didn't bother me.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Komtar Building in the center of Penang, surrounded by shops, convenient living, and within walking distance of major attractions. The hotel is clean and tidy, with good facilities and thoughtful service. It is a good experience.

Hooi SinI stayed at Mode Inn Icon City for 1 night and had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel's biggest strength is undoubtedly its location. With numerous restaurants, cafés, convenience stores and other amenities within walking distance, everything I needed was easily accessible. The convenience of the location is likely one of the main reasons for its popularity and room rates.
The room was clean and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a comfortable short stay. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning worked well, and the overall check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
While the hotel was generally well-maintained, some parts of the property showed signs of age and regular use. This did not affect my comfort during the stay, but guests expecting a newer or more modern hotel should manage their expectations accordingly.
The room size was the main drawback. Even though I booked the largest room category with a window, the room was still quite compact. It was perfectly suitable for a solo traveller staying one or two nights, but couples or guests with multiple pieces of luggage may find the space rather limited.
At approximately RM150 per night without breakfast, the pricing is slightly on the higher side for a 2-star hotel. However, considering the strategic location and overall convenience, I can understand why the hotel remains a popular choice among travellers.
