Mangrove Jeju City

Really great! The aesthetics are on point, and the restaurant lobby is beautiful. It's also very clean. The room is spacious and refreshing. It's within walking distance to markets and several local supermarkets, and it's close to the sea.

My friends and I came to Jeju and stayed at the Mangrove Hotel, and it was a perfect experience overall! The room was clean and tidy, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the location was convenient for getting around, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The city view was pleasant, and our entire stay was comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Jeju. Highly recommend!

The environment is great, a bit like a hostel but more upscale. They offer free breakfast with delicious mini croissants and toast, as well as milk and cereal. The location is also excellent, right next to Qixing Street and Dongmen Market. Just a short walk to the left of the main entrance, you'll find Olive Young.

Really liked this hotel! Everything was great, except for being given a low-floor room. The hotel is very new, well-designed, and they even offer simple snacks. I'd definitely recommend trying to get a higher-floor sea-view room if possible. The location is super convenient, with lots of outdoor shops and restaurants nearby.

The room layout is very practical. For a double room, each person gets a desk with a desk lamp and a vanity mirror. The wardrobe space is also generous. Slippers and bath towels are provided, but there are no toothbrushes or water cups for brushing. The restaurant offers free bread, biscuits, milk, juice, and coffee in the mornings. Throughout the day, there's hot and cold water available, as well as a microwave. The rooftop garden offers a lovely sea view. The location is super convenient; it's about 35 RMB by taxi from the airport. There's a bus stop within walking distance downstairs, and it's close to Olle Trails 18 and 19. You can walk to Chilseong-ro Shopping Street in just a few minutes from the hotel.

If you value your health, you absolutely must reconsider staying at this hotel!! I booked a deluxe twin room (a larger room type) for over 2,000 RMB for two nights during the May Day holiday. I checked in at night, and with all the windows closed, it felt like walking into a 'gas chamber.' The smell was incredibly pungent, far beyond what's normal, to the point where it was hard to breathe. (It's possible that because the room was larger and the windows had been continuously closed, the smell was even worse.) I immediately opened the windows to air it out. Soon after, I started experiencing allergic reactions that night. After sleeping there for one night, it got even worse; my neck and face were covered in a rash. I immediately went to a nearby clinic after waking up, where I was diagnosed with contact dermatitis. I brought the diagnosis and prescription to the hotel staff. Their proposed solution was to move me to a smaller sea-view room. My concerns were: 1) I confirmed with them that all rooms had the same completion time for renovation and used the same materials, so changing rooms wouldn't help. 2) I asked them to provide any acceptance reports or air quality testing reports, and they stated they had none. After a series of discussions, the final outcome was that they refunded one night's stay, and I moved to another hotel nearby. Perhaps my allergic reaction was an isolated case, and I'm particularly sensitive to renovation pollution; however, there's no doubt that this hotel has a renovation pollution problem. Facilities: Well-equipped and practical. Hygiene: Very clean and tidy. Environment: Good soundproofing. Even though it's on a busy street, it's very quiet with the windows closed. Service: Mostly self-service, but very well-designed. There are front desk staff during the day who are very friendly.

Absolutely terrible! This hotel is a complete rip-off, especially for Chinese guests. The photos online are totally misleading. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs! The formaldehyde levels are probably through the roof. We paid 3500 RMB for a room that's worse than a Hanting (budget chain). The pictures online are completely fake; the actual room size is barely 10-15 square meters. The bed was uneven – one side high, one side low – and I woke up with a terrible backache. The curtains don't block any light, so by 6 AM, the room was super bright. Do NOT go here. Honestly, even 200 RMB would be too much for this place. Breakfast consists of a few packets of snacks; there's nothing else. The soundproofing is awful; you can hear conversations from next door at night. If you've booked, you're screwed – they won't give you a refund. I booked for three nights, stayed one, and it was practically uninhabitable. They still wouldn't refund my money. To switch rooms, I had to pay an extra fee, which was basically throwing money away. The next day, I moved to another hotel. A 300 RMB room there was infinitely better than this Mangrove hotel. If you haven't booked yet, please don't! I hope this review can save some fellow Chinese travelers.

The room was clean, and check-in was a breeze. I really appreciated having a communal kitchen. The views from the top floor, the lobby, and even my room were all fantastic. The restaurant offered complimentary coffee and tea, and it was convenient to buy drinks and snacks there too.
