This one is easy to confuse with the one next door. The hotel is average. Because I only stayed for one night, and I arrived late and left early, it was just so-so as a general business trip.

Quick overnight stay in an oversized room for a solo traveler. I was kindly alerted that the elevator was temporarily out of order but I stuck with the second floor. I only had an overnight bag. Breakfast was barer than I expected. Out of meat protein when I arrived. Opted for a stop at Buccees down the road. On the plus, my room was immaculate. I'd give this place another shot.

After waiting about 10 minutes at the reception desk, I had to go find someone. We were about 30 minutes early and wasn’t able to check in.
The food at breakfast ran out and the person who was in charge of the food, was trying to fix an elevator. Pool wasn’t opened as stated on line.

The bed tilted downhill. I had to sleep at the bottom of the bed to sleep comfortably. The door to the bathroom is water damaged and peeling at the bottom. Theres a tile missing from the wall going into the closet. Very dimly lit. Especially in the bathroom. Reading lights beside the bed were dim as well. I think this must have been a handicap room. The front desk person was wonderful. Just not a very pleasant experience. Worst Comfort Inn weve ever stayed in.

Next time we go to Cookeville, I hope this hotel is still this nice. It's probably bout 3 star but I felt safe and it was clean. It's been updated in the past few years even if it is an older building. The desk staff is wonderful. Stay here.

In an attempt to save money owners do not have hot water for customer use. Water is luke warm at best. Stoppers are out of the tubs so you can't take a bath -

These are the rudest people I’ve ever met. It not about service it’s about money. I try to stay at comfort suites when available I have an executive account. I was traveling from Tennessee to Florida and was making my reservations and accidentally booked the wrong night . I noticed as soon as I hung up the phone and called right back. They refused to make any changes to my reservations and refused to refund my money. I have never had anything like this happen to me before .on my way through town I stayed at the la Quinta inn and glad I did I was a great choice.

Is it perfect? No. But it's everything you could need in a hotel. I'm an 18 year hotelier. It's clean everywhere. It was updated maybe a few years ago max. The building itself is older. The housekeepers do a fantastic job. The breakfast is pretty good, though lots of carbs and could do with some fresh fruit added. Different kinds of breads, cereals, yogurt, cream cheese, eggs, tater tots, sausage and more. And get this.. the beds have bed bug bags on the mattress to protect you from the annoying horrible critters. Those are expensive so appreciation to the owners.
If you want five star, go stay at a five star and pay the price. This is a fantastic 3 star easily with a great price.

Booked a trip, had a death in family could not make the trip, called the hotel many times no answer, contacted ******* they could not cancel since it was past check in time they also called property to cancel and no answer. They contacted them by email with denial of cancellation and kept my whole amount of stay for trip. It was a 4 day trip tried calling to cancel the first day. What a rip off.
