Lovely hotel. Excellent location for visiting the entire lake by bus or boat. Bus station 5 mins away, boat 15 mins . Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Bathroom clean. Communal areas clean bright fresh. Staff helpful, friendly, pleasant. Food, varied choice, vegetarian options, food very tasty. Coffee at breakfast served at the table (no wait for coffee machine as mentioned in previous reviews). Would recommend this hotel and would stop again here.

The hotel is centrally situated in Garda. We made the mistake of choosing half board and although the food is OK and plentiful there are so many places to eat in the town that I think bed and breakfast would be much better. Breakfast is OK but the coffee machine must be the slowest ever and there is often a queue. You choose your evening meal at breakfast. There is a salad buffet to start, first course is a choice of different pasta or soup, main course a choice of one meat dish, one fish or one veggie. Pudding is usually panacotta, fresh fruit salad, cheesecake, etc. Service is good and Karl is a star. Wednesday is a Grand Buffet though the choice wasn’t good. I had a paella which was cold, tough rice with a couple of tiny prawns and no flavour. Spaghetti had no sauce. Very disappointing. The rooms are very small but kept clean. The balcony is therefore small and we had chainsmokers next door which made it very uncomfortable for sitting outside. We were often forced inside because of the smoke. I would recommend bringing your own hairdryer. At the highest setting it cuts out after a couple of minutes and takes five minutes to come back on. The coolest setting is very slow. The pool area is lovely. There are always plenty of beds and pool is refreshing and not too cold. Bar prices are about the same as anywhere, ie €6 for an Aperol spritz, Limoncello spritz, beer, etc. Water can be purchased at a supermarket opposite the bus station for 80c. In town you can walk to Bardalino quite easily, ferries go to Sermione though I would recommend getting the first ferry at 9 am as it gets packed with tourists. For the northern resorts, eg Limone, it’s easier to get a bus to Malcesine which takes 40 minutes. We went on a Tui trip to Venice. It was a long, hot, tiring day but worth it. Just back in time for dinner. We only stayed a week and could have done with longer so it’s an excuse to revisit, maybe to one of the northern resorts, eg Riva, to see the places we didn’t have time for.

Stayed for a week at the end of week. Weather was mainly very good but did have rain/thunder in a couple of evenings (to be expected at this time of year!). The hotel has recently been renovated. Rooms are relatively small but who needs a big room it's not what you go on holiday to do is it - sit in your room! Service at the pool bar was very slow; I cancelled by salad after a 60 minute wait. Never a sunbed issue around the pool but there are additional in the garden. Bit off having to walk through the underpass and up the stairs (or lift) to get to the pool and can see this Amy be an issue for those who have issues walking. I loved the food - breakfast had a decent range and the choices for evening meal where limited but I love fish so was easy pleased every night! Better than chips and pizza every night. Two buffets in the week and two evenings with live entertainment. All in all I think this is a great hotel, in an excellent location.

Great base for a holiday on Lake Garda. Close to the lake, close to the town. Amazing pool area and despite how busy it was the pool was never crowded. Breakfast was great, so much choice. The ‘coffee machine queue’ is definitely a reality but I stuck with juice so it never really bothered me but my husband did and a third even fourth machine could be helpful. We were half board and the evening meal was sometimes not to our taste (we didn’t always like the meat course). Overall it was good. The hotel and facilities were very clean: the room was lovely, we opted for a room overlooking the pool on the fourth floor. Couldn’t fault it, it had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. What makes this hotel a ‘5’ is the staff. The staff were lovely, they worked so hard and couldn’t do enough for us. It was the national Ferragosto holiday during our stay and they involved everyone with complimentary drinks, fruit and all day celebrations around to pool. All the staff were included despite them working on such a special day. All round great place to relax and unwind. Would definitely return and definitely recommend. We went as a couple but it’s an ideal place for families.

We don't usually write a review but we felt we had to share our wonderful experience at La Perla in gorgeous Garda. All the staff are amazing. The hotel offered a local hike with Linda and bike ride with Roberto. Both experiences were brilliant. The quality of the food is excellent as was the whole dining experience. We had a pool view room on floor 4 which was worth the extra and incredible. The rooms are fresh, clean and well equipped. The pool area is wonderful, although the water cold!! The location is perfect. The lake is minutes away and access to walks in both directions. The bus station and ferry point are minutes away too. The TUI excursion to Venice was amazing and worth doing.

Booked on travel agent recommendation. Sadly not lived up to our expectations. Location good for accessing local bus and ferry services. Rooms small but adequate with comfortable bed. Cleaned daily. Good water pressure but tiny shower. No privacy on balcony and smokers a issue next door to us. No information in room, not even number to ring reception. Three faulty lights on arrival and a leak in ceiling which caused carpet to be soaked and noise of running water down walls. Despite reporting this immediately we were informed by reception nothing could be done until the next day . Forced to spend the night with diabolical situation. Total lack of guest satisfaction. Restaurant was like a school dining room, food resembling school meals at best.Main courses were for us the worst and on occasions inedible served barley warm. Breakfast was ok but long queues at hot drinks machine. Nothing replenished so if you eat later less choice. Fish and meat left out on non refrigerated surfaces. Forced to buy water at 3.50 euros for a small bottle as not allowed to use your own flask. Hotel really rips guests off with this high charge. (Supermarket sell 6x large bottles for2.60 euros ) Lack of guest toilets in hotel. Entertainment diabolical ! Swimming pool was lovely but again not allowed to eat or drink your own beverages. Lifts a joke as one out of the two broken during our stay. Many elderly guests with poor mobility so not great. Staff not very friendly but work hard. We would not return or recommend due to very poor evening meals. Garda and surrounding towns were lovely.

Excellent location, close to lake and bus station for travel. Mainly flat so great if you have mobility issues. Room adequate size with a small fridge, hair dryer, toiletries etc. use of pool towels and a bag to take them in. Pool cold but lovely and big with plenty of sun beds. There is a pool, snack bar, didn’t eat from it but had a soft drink which I think was €2.50. When you arrive they will tell you that the room you have been allocated overlooks a car park and for €70 for the week you can upgrade to a pool view. We did do that and it put us on 3rd floor instead of 1st. Food was pretty good overall. Buffet breakfast and at breakfast you choose your evening meal. At least three choices for each course. Also a salad bar you can help yourself to prior to your three courses. A few issues. Only two slow coffee machines that are bean to cup. For so many people you can queue for 15 mins plus for tea or coffee as it is also the only way to get hot water. Air conditioning didn’t work very effectively, did speak to reception who sent an engineer but didn’t get any better. Overall the negatives didn’t out way the positives and I would definitely recommend the hotel overall and would stay here again

We are just back from 2 weeks at La Perla, info to know.. Your coach drops you at the bus station, if you dont have serious mobility issues then its just a very short few mins walk over the road and to the hotel. On arrival - reception are friendly and whilst there is a wait its fairly straight forward - the delays are due to the hotel up-selling you a room with a view - pointless for us- so we took our allocated room on the 2nd floor 2x lifts to the floors plus stairs and -1 takes you to the luggage storage area for departures. Wealth of information from both the hotel and Tui, ** please note, dont be rude to staff , their English is better than your Italian! Rooms are decent size with wardrobe space, drawers, safe and air con, TV , kettle coffee etc , water in fridge (you will be charged for) Pool bag and towels - Bag can be purchased - all towels are changes by housekeeping so just leave them in your shower. Balcony has 2 chairs and a table and is fine if a tad less private due to L shape of hotel. please note from our review we are active over 50s Tui trips - around the lake on a coach (with poor air con) wasn't for us - too long on the coach but we did it as an introduction to the area and to see where we would like to revisit Venice - defo worth the Tui trip, queue jumping and well organised. you'll need an extra 25 each in cash for the gondala and also 30 each for the lago boat trip - if yourre not planning on ever going again its worth just doing it all - its super busy everywhere and its also a long day of walking and travelling but IMO worth it. Bike Hire at the hotel - competitive E bike hire prices so we booked the free trip on the Friday (you pay for half a day bike rental) and then we also booked a whole day to ride 28 miles up to and back from Spiazzi to see the church in the rock! (Madonna della corona) Incredible, had to ride as no bus (winter time table) BUT wow - peaceful and almost tourist free! Food at the hotel - buffet breakfast and a menu to order your evening meal which is served to you. Salad buffet starter then the meal comes to you - 4 courses! after 2 weeks the food was fine for use, authentic and no chips *yah (you are in Italy, not the UK) and you're on holiday, so just chill whilst waiting for the toaster or coffee machine! Evening meal times can get busy, you basically get seated and thats your table for the duration of your stay, there are 2 arrival days where its a buffet otherwise its the menu choices. TOP TIP, go to the bar before you sit down as getting your own drink is quicker than being served at your table (its also cheaper, which we hadnt realised till check out!) Singer - we didnt hang around for any of the occasional entertainment at the hotel - there is loads going on in Garda along the front promenade in the evening and there are also the travelling markets during the day at various locations - ask the TUi rep for info. Pool - the pics look like its just outside the hotel - it kinda
