What travelers say:

The four monk towers of Japan, announced by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government as provincial cultural relics protection units on January 7, 2012, are located in the Tianlong Babu Film and Television City southwest of Dali Ancient City, 1000 meters from the Sapporo Temple Tower in the north. Built in the Ming and Hongwu years (AD 1368-1398), about 700 years old, it is a joint burial tower of four monks in the Ming Dynasty after the death of Dali. The four monk towers in Japan, unique in shape, are a spinning lama-style hollow stone pagoda, east to west, which is extremely rare in Dali area, 6 meters high, made of natural stone, in a spinning-like shape. The tower consists of three parts: the tower, the tower body, and the tower brake. The tower is2.9 meters tall and2.4 meters high, 4 meters in diameter. The tower has an oval tower gate, and there is an anus on the north side of the tower. The built-in Sanskrit monument has been damaged due to the long-term monument engraving. The tower is dark in color, the lime layer is mottled, and the top of the tower is full of desolate grass. It shows that the pagoda has been through the vicissitudes and ages. In early 2005, Japanese actor Takura Jian took the opportunity to shoot "Thousands of miles to ride" and funded the maintenance of the four monk towers in Japan. The four monk towers of Japan are the blending of ethnic minority culture and foreign culture in the frontier, and are historical witness of Chinese and Western exchanges, which provide an important physical basis for studying the history of ethnic and religious history of Yunnan.
