The past and present of Longting Park The main buildings of Longting Park consist of the Meridian Gate, the Jade Belt Bridge, the Longting Hall, and the Wanshou Palace. It was first built in the 31st year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1692 AD). In order to facilitate the local administrative officials to pay tribute to the emperor, a "Wanshou Pavilion" was built on the coal mountain of the original Zhou Royal Palace. The pavilion enshrines the plaque of "Emperor Wansui", so it is also called "Longting". In the 12th year of Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty (1734), it was renamed Wanshouguan. During the Republic of China, it was renamed several times, and was named Longting Park, Zhongshan Park, and Xinmin Park. Until the liberation of Kaifeng, Chairman Mao came here in 1952 to change back to "Longting". Longting Hall The Longting Hall is built on one layer and built on another.
