Diqing Red Army Long March Museum, located at No. 1 Jinlong Street, Dukezong Ancient City, Jiantang Town, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province (next to Moonlight Square), covers an area of 4049.34 square meters, construction area 3106.92 square meters, and exhibition hall area of 2,400 square meters. It is a special museum of social science history. On July 1, 1984, the Red Army Long March Memorial Hall was founded and managed by the Zhongdian County Bureau of Culture. At the end of 2006, the Diqingzhou government relocated the residents around the public hall, and the Diqing Military District designated the health center to the memorial hall, and the display of the original memorial hall was upgraded and renamed the memorial hall to the "Diqing Red Army Long March Museum". On August 20, 2007, the Diqing Red Army Long March Museum opened. By the end of 2019, the collection had 280 pieces (sets).

On the north side of the Moonlight Square in Dukezong Ancient City is the Long March Museum of the Red Army of Diqing. The exhibition hall of the Red Army Long March Museum is built around the public hall, with the appearance of the local Tibetan culture as its characteristics, combining modern building materials, brick-mixed structure, the exterior wall is gray and self-colored, and the gables are decorated with earth red. The museum displays the Red Army's two-sided Long March as the main line, and shows the three main forces of the Red Army in an all-round way to complete the great feat of the Long March through thousands of difficulties and dangers. The display highlights the Red Army's Long March in the first, second and fourth aspects, the Red Army climbed snow-capped mountains and passed the grass, the Red Army carried out the Party's ethnic and religious policies when passing through Tibetan areas, and the Red Army sowed revolutionary fires in Tibetan areas and the people of all ethnic groups in Diqing carried forward the spirit of the Red Army's Long March and built a beautiful home. Among them, we were most moved by the Red Army climbing the snow-capped mountains across the grass interactive landscape. It uses modern Chenzhan means such as sound, light and electricity to reproduce the scene of the Red Army climbing the snow-capped mountains over the grass.
