This time, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t as cool as during my previous stay. It might be due to energy-saving measures, but it did affect the overall comfort. I contacted maintenance on the first night as the room felt warm at 25°C. After servicing, the temperature improved to 23°C. However, it gradually increased again — 24°C the next day and back to 25°C on the day before check-out. With the current humid and warm weather, I hope the air-conditioning system can be better maintained to ensure a more comfortable stay for guests. Other than the air-conditioning issue, I really enjoyed the location. It’s very convenient, with massage services, food options, pedicure, and hair treatments all located just next to the hotel, which made the stay much more enjoyable.

2nd stay and loving each stay as smooth self-checking in and self-check out. After confirmation, sent details to number provided and collect key card at e locker upon arrival. Videos and location to collect key card provided after booking confirmed. Asked for an early check in. Easy access to eateries, a mall opposite, mini marts below. Gym and pool at level 8. Clean, quiet and great for a short get away. Perfect for solo traveler, business trip, families and couples who wants some quiet holiday.

I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a lovely unblocked city view, which made the stay quite enjoyable and relaxing. However, one downside was the bathroom setup. It only came with a fixed rain shower and did not have a detachable shower head. This made it quite inconvenient, especially for my mum, as it was difficult for her to shower comfortably. Overall, it’s a good hotel with nice rooms and views, but the bathroom design could be more user-friendly, particularly for elderly guests or those who prefer more flexibility.

We recently stayed at St. Giles Southkey Johor Bahru for four nights. The hotel is very popular, largely because it is directly connected to Mid Valley Southkey Mall, making shopping and dining extremely convenient. Breakfast can get quite busy and crowded, especially during peak hours. However, if you prefer a quieter experience, it’s better to go during the last 45 minutes before breakfast closes. The staff were efficient in replenishing food items promptly, even when demand was high. There were five coffee machines available, which helped to manage the crowd well and kept waiting times reasonable. The overall buffet spread was average—not exceptional, but sufficient. Housekeeping was satisfactory, with rooms maintained to a decent standard throughout the stay. One downside is the check-in time, which is after 3pm. This is slightly later than the typical industry standard in Malaysia and may be inconvenient for some travelers. Overall, it’s a solid and convenient hotel choice.

The Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru is an exceptionally convenient choice for travelers looking to explore the city. Its prime location offers easy access to ride-hailing services like Grab and puts you within walking distance of KSL City Mall and a variety of local eateries. The hotel provides a safe environment complemented by a helpful and friendly staff. Guests can enjoy a wide range of on-site amenities, including a massage center, a restaurant, a convenience store, and a swimming pool. Furthermore, hotel guests can take advantage of a breakfast buffet for just 30 Ringgit. The rooms themselves are notably spacious and maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness.

Overall the room is clean but dont expect the room is big. The only things surprised me is the breakfast , taste all is nice and more things to choose . If for short trip in JB , I will choose this hotel again because of price reasonable and service is good , staffs are all friendly.

A large 20-30 years old hotel building. Clean , very large guest room with city view on the high floor. Fast check in and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast. Good water pressure at the high floor bathroom. None smoking rooms are available, but sometimesl smell of the smoking still coming from room ventilation. Good room price. Will stay again if I come to Johor Baru.

Facilities: Relatively new. Parking is free, but you need to go to the front desk to swipe your TNG card every time you leave the car park. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: The hotel's interior is excellent. However, the area in front of the hotel feels a bit like a construction site, so be careful when walking. Service: There's a young man at the front desk who speaks Chinese. The breakfast buffet is top-notch, with an incredibly wide selection. My only regret is having just one stomach. There were so many local dishes I didn't even know how to combine them!

This hotel is located right on the Johor Strait, and from my room, I had a great view of the bridge connecting Malaysia and Singapore. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. It's a grand hotel with a impressive feel, yet it's very well-managed. A tall young man at the front desk was particularly helpful; he even spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth. Since the hotel is quite large, I wasn't sure where to park, and he personally escorted me to the parking lot behind the hotel. That was a really thoughtful gesture, and I'd like to express my gratitude to him here!

Place is so near the CIQ and near the mall (JB Central and KOMTAR JBCC) and many food place to eat at the 2nd and 1st Floor. They accomodated my request in high floor. Room is spacious and complete toiletries (lack of comb only😂 but neglegible). Breakfast can be improved the choices in western cuisine but the locals might enjoy the spread. OVerall we have enjoy our stay!
