Good stay at Jazz Hotel Penang 👍 Really satisfied with my trip here. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub and even a complimentary bath bomb which made the stay extra relaxing. Love the rooftop pool and the overall modern vibe. Location is convenient — walking distance to Straits Quay and easy access to Gurney area for food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely come back again!

This is my second time staying here. As always every thing is perfect. They allowed us to have an early check in since the room was ready early. From check in to check out time everything was smooth. Luckily we were able to see again our favourite staff Ady but this time we saw many new faces. Thank you Ady for wonderful service again. Not forgetting Joshua as the Front Office Ambassador and the Duty Manager i forgot his name though. The housekeeping also maintained their good service to ensure our room condition was perfect. Kudos to Harun for the great work! And also thank you for the maintenance staff Rahim for assisting me to get better wifi connection. Please maintain what you all doing!

Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me – too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.

Great location. Hotel located near the Hin Bus Depot, plenty of great foods around. Great view. My room was facing Komtar Tower and i have a really great window view. Service Tiptop. From check-in, to check-out, and keeping the luggage, all staff are very helpful and welcoming. Great Facilities. Just manage to use the pool, and i love the view and, not to crowded.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning worked efficiently and cooled the room quickly, which was especially appreciated in Penang’s warm weather. The towels were also of good quality with strong absorption. Parking was slightly unusual in layout, but still manageable. Even during the festive season, there were plenty of parking lots available, which was a big plus. The location is convenient. Northam Beach Cafe is within a 10-minute walking distance, and there is a traffic light for pedestrians to safely cross the road. There is also a Starbucks just 5 minutes behind the hotel, making it easy to grab coffee. However, the major downside was the poor soundproofing. I could clearly hear the next door guests talking loudly, laughing, and even closing their doors. Unfortunately, this affected my sleep quality and was quite disappointing. Overall, it was a good stay with very friendly and helpful concierge service. If the soundproofing can be improved, the experience would be much better.

The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter. There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there! The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China. However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge. Overall, the service was very good and proactive.

I booked a king-size bed for me and my daughter. The room was very big (huge huge size) and had two large air conditioners. There was also a big sofa, a table, and chairs in the room, which made it very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and I really liked the shower because it had different water settings you could change. Every day they give two welcome drinks, and you can choose alcohol, tea, coffee, or juice. The hotel also has a kids’ play area, a gym, and a yoga room. They provide filtered water, so you can refill your bottle anytime. We ordered the smoked duck pasta and nasi lemak. The nasi lemak was really delicious. This hotel is so closed to the airport. I really loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

Its kinda late for this review but worth sharing our experience here on Bayview.Beach Resort Penang last Jan2026. Its our first time here in Penang so I choose Bayview for 4days stay. I just read reviews and Location before booking this hotel and I think it's great (as per other guests reviews)also the price was really fits on our budget. We are not very picky as a family of 3 whose always commuting and trying new places here in Malaysia. Its so easy to commute and ride grab taxi. Upon arrival, I feel the warmth and friendliness of the staffs in the customer service. Super easy to check-in took only less than 5mins . Then,after giving the keys and room assign to us,we proceed to their unique elevator. .the hotel as per other guest reviews kinda outdated.but still nice for me. The cleanliness and ambiance was more important to us. The room was big,clean and cozy. We are on city view,so we never try the veranda. We have a free breakfast included in our booking. There are so many selections. Unli coffee ☕️ food was good 😋 The restaurant supervisor and staffs was friendly. Even give us free breakfast for our special son who is picky eater.thank you we really appreciate it🙏😘 The hotel is beachfront and has its own swimming pool. Try walking on the beach with barefoot and the sand won't hurt your feet with the fine golden / tan sand . Don't forget to go ferringhi heart and watch the *fire dance show at night. also watch sunset 🌇 you can also watch band and have some dinner there. There are so many restaurants around the area. You may want to try *Pak Mid Cafe (infront of the hotel),good food and affordable too. We also visit the Georgetown,World heritage Site,see street art ,churches,temple,and many more We just book grab taxi for our convenience but you can ride bus.btw,they have free bus in Georgetown which will tour you around the area, yes it's free😉 Overall experience for 4days here on Bayview Beach Resort was really great. Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area . The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this . Now , I wait for my toe to heal .
