Beach Hotels in Fujian, China

This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy. The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning. The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere. I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance. This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

Going through a divorce 'cooling-off' period, I decided to take a solo trip to clear my head and booked this hotel – and it was truly excellent. Why was it so good? Let me explain a few points: First, the location is superb. It's convenient for enjoying sea views and strolling along Shaweipo. It should also be close to Gulangyu, but unfortunately, my trip there was canceled due to Typhoon Bavi, which is a major regret from my journey. Second, the hotel's decor is high-end and elegant, with excellent facilities. The aesthetic is sophisticated, and they even prepared a welcome ceremony as per my request. Third, the service was impeccable. It was only after coming to the south that I realized how meticulous and thoughtful Southern hospitality can make you feel at home. I'm a stickler for details, and they really delivered. There were friendly staff members to help with luggage, assist with getting in and out of cars, and anything I needed was promptly provided. I developed tonsillitis after arriving and requested ice for a cold compress; when my friend visited, they needed disposable slippers; and when I couldn't figure out how to use the iron, housekeeping came to assist. Early check-in and late check-out, while generally offered by five-star hotels, also provided great convenience. Fourth, the overall experience was fantastic, and the breakfast was plentiful. After a bath, the bed was incredibly comfortable for sleeping. For breakfast, they had Eggs Benedict, which filled me up completely. I also want to praise the front desk ladies – each one was beautiful, gentle, and graceful. Just seeing them was a pleasure, haha (P.S. I'm a girl). That's it, it was just too good, I'm at a loss for words. While choosing photos, I remembered a few more things: the turndown service, the small desserts in the evening, and the room cleaning were all delightful touches.

The experience of this stay far exceeded expectations, the front desk staff was warm and courteous, the check-in was efficient and smooth, the whole service was intimate and thoughtful, and the demand was responded promptly. The rooms are clean and tidy, there is no smell, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the sound insulation effect is outstanding, and the night rest is very stable. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the toiletries are fully equipped. Xiaodu Intelligence is also very convenient, the public areas are well managed, and the washing machine and dryer are fully equipped. The location of the hotel is quite superior, it is very convenient to go to major attractions, whether it is a leisure trip or a short stopover. The whole is a comfortable and comfortable stay experience, I will choose here next time I visit, highly recommended!

This is an established luxury hotel in Xiamen, and the decor is quite nice. The rooms are spacious, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of Gulangyu Island. The hotel staff are also very friendly; they always greet you proactively. It was a really pleasant stay.

Staying for four nights was an absolute 10/10 experience! The bathroom's wet and dry separation design is incredibly practical, making it clean and convenient to use. The bedding is super soft, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The location is superb, right on Longtou Road, so shopping and dining are literally downstairs. The service was excellent. If you're coming to Gulangyu, this is definitely the place to stay. 🥰 The rooftop night view is absolutely stunning!

I stayed for three nights, and the room was cleaned promptly by the staff every day. The Western restaurant's breakfast had slight variations daily, and I enjoyed some unique local Minnan specialties like 'mianxian' (thin rice noodles), 'caiguo' (vegetable dumpling), and 'gongtang' (peanut brittle). The hotel is conveniently located opposite the BRICS Convention Center and just a five-minute walk to the beach, making it a great choice for a relaxing getaway. Getting around is easy too, with Metro Line 2 nearby. Taxis to other places are affordable; it's about 20-30 RMB to Zhongshan Road and only about 10 kilometers to the high-speed train station. There were plenty of welcome perks, including complimentary drinks and a travel photo shoot. I didn't get a chance to use the complimentary sailing experience due to time constraints, so I'll save that for my next visit.

The hotel boasts an excellent location with expansive sea views, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the sea-view rooms offer breathtaking scenery. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and complete bathroom facilities. The service is warm and attentive, with prompt front desk responses. Breakfast is rich and features local Fujian (Min-nan) specialties. The accompanying pool and gym facilities are comprehensive, offering great value for money. The surrounding area is quiet, and transportation is convenient, making it suitable for both leisure and business stays. Overall, the experience was satisfying and highly recommended.

The Hualuxe Xiamen Haicang Seaview truly exceeded my expectations! The egret-shaped architecture is incredibly photogenic, and the front-row sea view is absolutely stunning. I booked a sea-view room, which starts at a spacious 45 sqm, featuring 270° floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the ocean, Haicang Bridge, and Gulangyu Island. I could watch the sunset from the comfort of my bed. The room boasts an elegant new-Chinese design, complete with a round viewing bathtub and high-quality amenities. Thoughtful touches like a tea set and welcome fruit were provided, and turndown service included local Minnan snacks – the attention to detail was exceptional. Cathy provided warm and attentive service, making the check-in process efficient, and the concierge proactively helped with my luggage. The heated pool on the fourth floor and the 24-hour sea-view gym offer fantastic views. Breakfast was extensive, with a wide variety of local snacks, seafood, and noodle stations. It's a peaceful and healing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the island, perfect for a vacation or family trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xiamen!

Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. The pier is about 500 meters from the entrance, and it's just a fifteen-minute boat ride to Xiamen No. 1 Pier, making it easy to go anywhere. A concierge even proactively helped us with directions to the pier; he was really enthusiastic 👍. The ferry ticket to Gulangyu Island was only 35 RMB, and the hotel breakfast was decent too. Regarding the upgrade to a deluxe sea-view room (subject to availability on the day): I booked a superior sea-view room, and the front desk upgraded us to a deluxe sea-view family room. For the mini-bar, you need to proactively contact the front desk for refills. Also, for the cute little souvenir doll included in the package, you need to ask the front desk for it. It's a really adorable doll 🥰
