It’s was a very last minute decision to made a 2days 1 night stay at KSL resort hotel because I wanted to do some CNY shopping & also do my medi & pedi cure and also a foot massage , so KSL was the post location to do all this within the same place , I was given a room on the 24th floor with bathtub and a king size bed , nice view & clean room , what more can I ask for 🤭they even let me check in early at 12noon instead of 3pm , lots of nice food around KSL & I’m sure to booked this hotel again because of its location and clean nice room.

The room was very clean and spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the beds were very comfortable. Toiletries were provided, so you wouldn't need to bring your own unless you have very specific requirements. One highlight was the excellent view from the sea-view room. You could see the customs checkpoint where cars lined up in long queues at night, resembling a winding, fiery dragon. The apartment has a kitchen with basic cooking utensils. If you're staying for a while and want to cook, you can just buy some seasonings and start right away. The kitchen's balcony has a washing machine with a drying function, and there's an iron in the room. The large balcony also features a retractable clothes rack, which is very convenient. A TV is also provided in the room. Another thing worth mentioning is the beautiful complex itself, which has a rubber track. Taking a stroll in the evening with the sea breeze was very pleasant. There's a skybridge connecting the complex to a shopping mall, so dining isn't an issue. The mall also has a supermarket, making it convenient for groceries. If you plan to go to Singapore, you can simply follow the signs through the skybridge to the mall and then directly to JB Central. From there, it's a 5-minute train ride straight to Singapore. This place is suitable for young travelers, family vacations, or even seniors looking for a long-term stay.

Always a joy to return to Sunway Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, sweet, and genuinely customer-oriented. We came back to celebrate our anniversary and were delighted when ms. Tharsh personally hand-delivered a cake to us. It was so wonderful to see her again, as we’ve always had great experiences with her — such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture. This time, we were traveling with our kids, and they were equally impressed by the outstanding hospitality. Everyone made us feel truly welcome. A special mention to Duty manager, Mr Syahmi who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He shared many useful tips on places to visit and instantly made us feel comfortable, even after a long and tiring drive. Sunway Hotel continues to impress us with its exceptional service and warm hospitality. We always look forward to coming back!

The staff and the level of service was excellent but the property clearly needs some further investment to match the quality of the service the staff give. All were polite, courteous, friendly and helpful This is a massive hotel with amazing facilities that just requires a little more strategic planning for maintenance and support from the group to the management. The location and opportunities that will arise from further investment, particularly the closeness of international borders, should be re-visited by the group owners following the pandemic. This would be with the forthcoming Singapore MRT expanding into Malaysia in the next couple of years. Overall, a pleasant place to stay.

Stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru for a short visit. The room itself was acceptable and reasonably comfortable, though the carpet felt rather worn and could benefit from a deeper clean. The view from the room was pleasant and a definite highlight. Breakfast was very crowded during peak hours; however, the team did a commendable job replenishing the buffet swiftly. That said, the overall taste and selection were fairly average. It would be much appreciated if brewed coffee from a proper coffee machine were available instead of coffee from an urn. The hotel’s location is excellent and highly convenient, which remains its strongest advantage. Special mention to Khan and Sazzad for their excellent hospitality at the Reception.

The environment here is beautiful, it's just a shame the swimming pool upstairs is a bit damaged. If that could be fixed, it would be absolutely perfect. The security is also very professional, with security guards patrolling 24 hours a day.

I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because it delivers exactly that — a textbook 3-star experience. If you’re walking from JB CIQ, take a moment to pray for your luggage wheels. The cobblestone pavement on the way is a certified durability test for any suitcase. The reception staff, to their credit, were professional and efficient, setting the stay off on a positive note. There’s no air-conditioning in the corridors on the way from the lobby to the rooms, which makes sense once you feel the lobby itself — it’s cooled to near polar conditions, possibly at the expense of the upper floors. The lobby even has a convenience stall with tables and chairs — great for a quick snack or late-night instant noodle run. The fact that they sell noodles complete with disposable bowls almost makes it feel planned. I stayed on the 19th floor in a room that could politely be described as functional. It came with two sockets, a few hangers in an open closet, and no mini-fridge, so don’t bring anything perishable unless you plan to eat it immediately. The vinyl flooring showed signs of wear, and a quick look under the bed revealed a generous collection of dust. The AC was the old-school fan coil type, and thankfully, it worked perfectly fine. The bathroom, however, turned into an adventure of its own. The shower head was fixed in place, the glass partition far too short, and the result was a small-scale water park after every shower — fun only if you enjoy slipping hazards. The toilet needed a two-flush routine, and the bidet hose leaked enough to make using it a careful balancing act. Then there was the Great Towel Shortage. Despite two guests, we received one face towel. There was no hand soap either — only the all-purpose shampoo dispenser in the shower. When housekeeping came, they simply rehung the used towels instead of replacing them. The lone face towel, which I’d pressed into service to mop up the flooded floor, was removed and never replaced. We ended up with just two towels for our second night. I was too tired to argue. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise — the buffet was reasonably priced and had a good range of options. Overall, this hotel is best suited for travelers who can adapt and aren’t thrown off by a few inconveniences. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys finding creative solutions when things don’t go perfectly, you might even appreciate it here. But if you’re after consistent comfort, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere. Staying here is a bit like driving a reliable car with no seat cushions — it gets you where you need to go, but the ride won’t be entirely comfortable.

Had a 1 night stay. Counter staff check in and checkout was fast and polite. Location is great alot eateries just downstairs. Free parking for hotel guest, just need to validate ur tng card before exit. Theres a minimart within the hotel that opens till midnight. Spacious room, with in room water dispenser (hot and normal temperature). Toliet needs some improvement, theres some rusty and stained shelving under the basin. Shower area supposed to have a transparent glass but its now covered with white wrapping. Theres also a blind at the shower area, which i cant release up, seems like it is stucked. The blind is abit obstructive and has some mold. With this, makes the shower area dim and darker. Basin drainage seems choked the water drains very slow. The bath foam and shampoo smells really really good. Aircon is decent as well, love the smart tv! Overall, decent stay!

This is not my first stay at St. Giles Southkey Johor, and it remains one of my favourite hotels in Johor. Once again, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The online customer service was very helpful, which I truly appreciate. However, I feel that the breakfast buffet could use some changes, as the selection has been the same for quite some time and can feel a little repetitive. Overall, I still enjoy staying here and would return again.

The front desk staffs are very friendly and informative. The lobby area is big and comfy with a coffee vending machine. Need to travel out of this hotel to get lunch/dinner/supper and shopping and entertainment. The car park for hotel are at 1st level that are free for hotel guests. Our king size beds are very big. The rooms are big too. There is hair dryer in the toilet. The curtain in the shower is old and dirty but usable. The towels are old and not white anymore. House slippers are given but one pair looks dirty or being used. Housekeeping staffs are helpful and friendly. The TV not easy to operation or the channels need sometime to load. The next building(residential) is so close that we have to keep our curtains close all the time. The swimming pool and breakfast cafe are located at 5th level that are common area with the residents. The cafe is non Aircon and is open concept, their fans are cooling enough for comfortable for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is simple and tasty. Not alot of variety but enough to be full. The hot Spring is great, very hot. It has 2 normal pools inside and a sauna room. There's toilets and showers too. Friday and Saturday timming is 4pm to 10pm.
