AAnonymous UserAmong the hostels I've stayed in, this one stood out for its facilities, environment, and cleanliness. Fresh bed linens (sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases) are provided for each new guest, which you put on yourself. I've had experiences with smelly blankets in other hostels, but thankfully, the duvets here were fresh and odor-free. The bathrooms were also clean and free of any unpleasant smells. The sinks are a bit on the small side, which can make it cramped for toiletries. I'd suggest adding a few hooks above each sink; it would be much more convenient to hang items. Some of the adjustable showerheads worked, while others didn't, but the water pressure was strong, the water was hot, and the hairdryer provided was good. The laundry room gets busy in the evenings, so consider doing your washing during the day. The drying racks also get very crowded, so you'll need to be quick to find a space! While most guests try to be mindful and quiet, varying sleep schedules are unavoidable in a hostel. Light sleepers would definitely benefit from bringing earplugs!

YYoYo_beichenI was looking for a youth hostel near Laoximen and found Dunbar, which had excellent reviews.
Not only is the location convenient, close to the subway entrance/exit, but the environment is also fantastic. The rooms are spacious, and everyone has their own small locker, so it feels very secure. The bedding is changed for each guest, and the cleaning staff tidy up daily, keeping everything very clean and hygienic.
Most importantly, the bathrooms are also great. They are separated for men and women, and the toilets and showers are wet/dry separated. The showers even provide body wash and shampoo, and there's a curtain to prevent clothes from getting wet.
They also occasionally organize activities, and there are many foreign travelers staying here.
Located in the city center, the atmosphere is wonderful. Definitely recommended!

Staff are warm, efficient, and genuinely helpful with local tips.
Rooms and common areas are consistently clean, calm at night, and comfortable for longer stays.
Wi-Fi is reliable for work calls, with plenty of outlets and spots to set up a laptop.
Showers are hot, the vibe is friendly but respectful, and access feels secure.
Add great value for central Shanghai, and it’s an easy recommendation. I came for a few days, felt at home, and stayed nearly a month. I’ll be back.

壹号国际青旅（外滩/豫园地铁站店）把细节做到了位：位置极佳，离豫园地铁站很近，步行可到外滩，出行与办事都方便；员工热情专业，办理入住高效，还会贴心提供本地建议；房间与公共区干净整洁，夜晚安静，长期入住也很舒适；网络稳定，适合视频会议，插座多、办公位好找；淋浴水量足、气氛友好且有秩序，安全感在线。以上海核心地段来说，性价比非常高。原本只想住几天，住出了“家的感觉”，于是一住就是快一个月。下次还会再来。

LLucywanFor a youth hostel, this place truly excels. Toiletries are provided, and the bathrooms are quite clean and well-maintained. The rooms are quite spacious. The front desk staff provide excellent service. They allow early check-in if a room is available, which is a huge plus. Its proximity to the subway makes getting around very convenient.

AAnonymous UserThe location is superb. Metro and shops are all extremely near. However the space is actually quite small and a bit hard to find. Asking around will help you find the hostel easily.
The room is quite small and best for travellers travelling light. I had some trouble with a large suitcase as there's not enough space to open it.
Staffs were super super friendly and accomodating. They were willing to help and assist.

GGuest UserThe hostel it isn’t in the main center but with just two metro line (line 2 and line 14) you can reach all the main attraction of Shangai, without taking too long. I tried two different room (because I add one more night once I arrived at the hostel) and the second one was very comfortable (the share room with 4 bunk bed and a private bathroom). The “patio” outside was very nice to read some books, have a dinner or just chat and take some fresh air.

MM11176****The hotel's location is excellent, just seven or eight minutes from the subway station. If you're coming from the train station or heading to Nanjing Road or the Bund, I recommend taking bus 930; it's less crowded, close to the hotel, and only one or two stops away. The lady at the front desk was very kind; there was an available room, so I was able to check in early. Thank you. The facilities are comprehensive, with a double-door refrigerator, a bathtub, a shower, a smart toilet, and high-end brand air conditioning. Even the hairdryer is a reputable brand worth several hundred yuan. The experience was truly great. I don't want to go into too much detail, but I'll definitely choose this place again when I visit Shanghai in the future. The only downsides were a bit of dampness and some noise from the construction work going on outside the building. That was a bit disappointing. However, it wasn't an issue at night as they stopped working. Overall, it was still perfect. Getting food delivery or groceries was also very convenient.

The dormitory beds have curtains for privacy, a mirror, and charging sockets. The shared bathrooms were clean. Overall, I had a great stay.
