We only stayed one evening, A Saturday night in Amsterdam can be hectic and rowdy, however the location was perfect very quiet and away from any crowds. Close to central station. I never used any of the hotel amenities however they looked superb. We stayed in room 275 which was spacious warm and pleasant. After returning from Iceland, I opted to stay here again. This time, my room was on the 3rd floor, but there's no direct elevator access – you have to switch elevators on the second floor. The room didn't have any stirrers, and when I asked, the front desk wouldn't send them up; I had to go down to get them myself. What was truly frustrating was the motion-sensor light in the bathroom. It would always turn off automatically halfway through my shower, leaving me in complete darkness. I'd essentially be left in the dark twice during a single shower!FromPHP 6,845

The hotel is right next to the concert hall. From the central station, take tram line 26 for one stop, then it's a 200-meter walk across the bridge to the ground floor on the other side. They gave me a river view room, and the scenery was absolutely stunning – truly a 'wow' moment when I opened the door. Breakfast was also very rich and varied. A little far out from the centre but we did not mind the travel to the centre. Metro/bus stops were under 10mins walk, very accessible. The neighbourhood was lovely had plenty of convenience stores nearby including a Lidl and New York Pizza takeaway. The staff were hospitality and had room service every day of our stay. We were able to leave our belongings in the hotel as our flight arrived earlier than check in time and bonus was we were able to check in half hour early than the check in time. Room was equipped with mini fridge, coffee machine, shower, radiator, TV and AC. Only problem was from the second day there was cigarette smell sipping into our room. The stay in general was alright, just there we’re a few problems before arriving and upon arriving of my stay at the Generator.
First they emailed me because my booking was cancelled, I had to contact them to make sure the booking was alright. And upon my stay the welcome desk was not very lovely when i came early to ask a couple of questions about the stay. Later on when I was in my room, the staff double booked the room and other guest arrived to my room.

We had such a special stay at Tribe Amsterdam. I mentioned when booking that it was my birthday and our anniversary, and when we arrived we were greeted with the sweetest surprise. a hand drawn birthday and anniversary message on the mirror, balloons, and a bottle of free champagne. It honestly made our day and felt so personal.
The hotel itself is stylish, clean, and really comfortable. The room was modern and cosy, there’s even a smart tv so you can enjoy your netflix nights in . The staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly care about the little details. Check-in experience:
Disappointing. I arrived around two hours early and politely asked if the room was available. The front desk staff member was helpful and said the system showed the room as ready and that she would confirm with management.
The manager then intervened and introduced an unnecessary and inconsistent explanation about the room not being ready, followed by an early check-in fee of €5. The fee itself is reasonable and not the issue. The issue is the lack of transparency.
Moments later, the same staff member asked the manager whether to give me the original room, and the manager confirmed yes in front of me. This made the earlier explanation feel dishonest, which I do not appreciate.

Overpriced for a hostel.

Standard. Nothing special, nothing missing.
Hygiene:
Below expectations. While the room was generally clean, there were breadcrumbs on the mattress, which points to poor attention to detail. Soap and toilet paper were not properly provided and had to be requested, which should not be necessary.

We got there at 12. Regular check in is 3. No room was ready at 4:30 even though promises of “a few minutes” and “we’ll call you” no one did. I had to complain and upgraded to a better room to be able to check in finally.
Told us to go get a drink but not like they offer a free drink or anything.
The room we got the washroom wasn’t especially clean. I had to scrub the grout so my wife didn’t see it and want to leave because of the mold.
In a room behind the restaurant had pillows piled up on the ground, they had no idea what rooms were clean, and they couldn’t find our luggage for several minutes. Just really poorly organized.
I told them all this when I checked out and they didn’t seem to care. Just smiled and said hope you enjoy better next time. There will not be a next time.
Location is really far out, BUT the metro is right there and works good.
View was nice.

Located in a hotel next to the canal. The view from the window is pretty good. You can sit there for an entire afternoon.
The room is not big, just right for one person, but I have a lot of luggage, so it would feel crowded if I put two on the floor.
The breakfast is good and has a wide variety.
The location is great, and it takes about ten minutes to walk anywhere.
Sanitation: Very clean. Someone cleaned the room carefully every day during my three-day stay.

Price good. Although is not near the city centre of Amsterdam, it only need to take one stop around 6 minutes can arrive Central Station. Hotel is closed to Sloterdijk Station, only 3 minutes walks, very easy access. Compare with the hotel in city, the price is lower and fast to go to the airport. It is easy to go to other city like Rotterdam, Hague too. Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel.
Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible.
The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough.

For a W hotel, the experience was not as good as it is in other locations
The location is ok , but the tram passing by and the noisy bars might be noisy especially when you are on lower floors
The room is OK , nothing really special about it, and feel soulless with kitchy decorations and wall paintings
Breakfast is not bad as well
Cleaning is ok but i found a silverfish on the room… not to mention as well that some amenities are not replaced if used… unless ordered
Most of the staff were really helpful and nice , except a very rude one on the bank checkin counter that should change jobs if it’s annoying her that much
The pool , spa and lounge and gym are really amazing but unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy them as much as we wanted because of the weather and time constraints

The room is spacious and hotel is in a quiet location. It’s good for a relax or business trip but not recommended for Executive Room. I booked an Executive King room with lounge access. There was no executive counter or express checkin and check out for Executive room guests. I am sad that my executive room was on 5/F whilst the executive lounge is located on 22/F. The lounge provided very limited of food during breakfast, tea and evening cocktails. The coffee machine was broken and food was out of stock frequently. I pre-paid my hotel accommodation, the staff confirmed that during my check-in but they asked me to pay my room during my checkout. It was very clean and I really liked the cozy interior of this place. Tram station is just 2 mins walk away and it only takes about 17 mins to get to central station. I wish they provided more amenities as you’d have to bring your own body soap. But overall all I liked my stay and it was only £150 for 3 nights!

The transfer service from and to the airport were perfect, very ponctual, even during holidays (we stayed in NYE). The location is great if you just want to go to the airport, as its very far away from the city center and there's nothing around it besides other hotels and a McDonalds.
