NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is an excellent choice for a stay in the heart of the city. The location is unbeatable—right opposite Amsterdam Central Station and within walking distance of major attractions. The hotel blends historic charm with modern comfort beautifully. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the service is warm and professional throughout. Breakfast offers a great variety and quality. A perfect stay for both business and leisure travelers.

The location of the accommodation was great, right near the city center, and everything was within walking distance. The breakfast was sufficient, though there's always room for more, of course. The rooms weren't particularly spacious, but they were clean. For the spa area with two saunas, we had expected a bit more. I would recommend this hotel.

It is really small but still functional. The main thing would be that it is in a very good location close to tourist attractions and the main luxury shopping street with VCA, Cartier and tiff. A short stay is fine.

🌟 5/5 – Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Hotel Estherea! I had an exceptional experience at Hotel Estherea. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The hotel’s interior is simply stunning — elegant, cozy, and full of charm, with beautiful decor that feels both luxurious and inviting. My room was spotless, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. The little touches — like the fresh flowers, high-quality toiletries, and complimentary coffee and sweets in the lounge — made the stay feel truly special. The location is perfect, right by the canal and within walking distance to all major attractions, restaurants, and shops. Despite being in the heart of Amsterdam, it was peaceful and quiet at night. I can’t recommend Hotel Estherea enough. It’s a rare blend of classic beauty, modern comfort, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

While it is a bit far from the city center, there is a tram stop nearby and line 2 connects directly to Amsterdam Centraal. Staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the room was clean and functional. Only the shower could have benefited from a curtain or a door, to prevent the entire bathroom floor from becoming a little lake 😅

It was a fascinating 3-day-journey. I really liked the hotel and the staff… They welcome you at the reception with a kind big smile. They gave two magnets while check-in and 3 key rings while checking out as presents. Hotel’s location is very close (7-8 mins on food) to Sloterdijk Station which you can have access to train, metro, tram, public and international bus. The room was clean. They changed the towels and cleaned the room on the second day. The bed was so comfortable and big enough. There was also a microwave oven, fridge, kettle and coffee/tea bags… The only missing things are air condition and hair dryer.. there was a fan which works but seems mot enough to cool down the room. If I come to Amsterdam one more time, I will stay there again.

The stay in general was alright, just there we’re a few problems before arriving and upon arriving of my stay at the Generator. First they emailed me because my booking was cancelled, I had to contact them to make sure the booking was alright. And upon my stay the welcome desk was not very lovely when i came early to ask a couple of questions about the stay. Later on when I was in my room, the staff double booked the room and other guest arrived to my room. Besides that the stay was alright.

We had such a special stay at Tribe Amsterdam. I mentioned when booking that it was my birthday and our anniversary, and when we arrived we were greeted with the sweetest surprise. a hand drawn birthday and anniversary message on the mirror, balloons, and a bottle of free champagne. It honestly made our day and felt so personal. The hotel itself is stylish, clean, and really comfortable. The room was modern and cosy, there’s even a smart tv so you can enjoy your netflix nights in . The staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly care about the little details. The location is also super convenient, it’s right next to the station and only two stops away from central Amsterdam, which made getting around so easy. Would definitely recommend!!! ⭐️

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Eden Hotel in Amsterdam, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, which immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. Its location is fantastic, nestled conveniently near key attractions, making it easy to explore the vibrant city. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view from my room, which overlooked the river. Waking up to the serene waters was truly a treat. Additionally, the staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my visit.

It’s a very nice and clean hotel.location is wonderful.only 5 minutes walk to metro goes every where including central.breakfast was so good.everything was good part from few things I need to point out.room service won’t clean the room in a morning unless you asked for it.we were told some time it can take until 5 o clock to clean the room and you comes back from outside and room still not cleaned.they asked for deposit to keep and this was something we didn’t know when we booked it.there was no information on there that they will asked for deposit to keep until we stayed but it will be returned when we leave.its about 50.00 euro a day.another thing is you have to pay extra to use swimming pool which I was shocked because this information wasn’t on the booking site.it did say extra to use spa but swimming wasn’t mentioned.it’s about 18.00 euro a day per person.

Location: Excellent. Calm area, close to the free ferry from Amsterdam Central. You are away from the buzz but still well connected. Best of both worlds. Check-in experience: Disappointing. I arrived around two hours early and politely asked if the room was available. The front desk staff member was helpful and said the system showed the room as ready and that she would confirm with management. The manager then intervened and introduced an unnecessary and inconsistent explanation about the room not being ready, followed by an early check-in fee of €5. The fee itself is reasonable and not the issue. The issue is the lack of transparency. Moments later, the same staff member asked the manager whether to give me the original room, and the manager confirmed yes in front of me. This made the earlier explanation feel dishonest, which I do not appreciate. Bar: Overpriced for a hostel. Amenities: Standard. Nothing special, nothing missing. Hygiene: Below expectations. While the room was generally clean, there were breadcrumbs on the mattress, which points to poor attention to detail. Soap and toilet paper were not properly provided and had to be requested, which should not be necessary. Overall: Good location, average facilities, weak attention to hygiene and communication.

On a two-day, one-night whirlwind trip from Paris to Amsterdam, I chose this hotel right by Dam Square. The location is fantastic! It's a 10-minute walk from the train station (we didn't have luggage, so it was quick and easy), and it's super close to both the canal district and tram stops. Plus, the guy at the front desk was really handsome and super friendly. I was also very happy with the room's facilities and amenities. I'd definitely pick this place again next time I visit!

Stayed here recently and really enjoyed the clean, modern room with a beautiful canal view. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. Hotel is new and modern but they clearly don’t have the experience running a large hotel. At many times you could tell they were trying to figure things out. Early check in was promised. We got there at 12. Regular check in is 3. No room was ready at 4:30 even though promises of “a few minutes” and “we’ll call you” no one did. I had to complain and upgraded to a better room to be able to check in finally. Told us to go get a drink but not like they offer a free drink or anything. The room we got the washroom wasn’t especially clean. I had to scrub the grout so my wife didn’t see it and want to leave because of the mold. In a room behind the restaurant had pillows piled up on the ground, they had no idea what rooms were clean, and they couldn’t find our luggage for several minutes. Just really poorly organized. I told them all this when I checked out and they didn’t seem to care. Just smiled and said hope you enjoy better next time. There will not be a next time. Location is really far out, BUT the metro is right there and works good. View was nice. Overall not great

Located in a hotel next to the canal. The view from the window is pretty good. You can sit there for an entire afternoon. The room is not big, just right for one person, but I have a lot of luggage, so it would feel crowded if I put two on the floor. The breakfast is good and has a wide variety. The location is great, and it takes about ten minutes to walk anywhere. Sanitation: Very clean. Someone cleaned the room carefully every day during my three-day stay. Service: Very friendly.

The hotel location is a bit out of the way if you plan to visit most of the famous attractions, one station away to centraal. However, it is directly opposite the train station, which is convenient if you need to travel to the main central station. The room is spacious, with a long hallway leading to the bed. The shower system is great, though the TV channels could be improved. Only one bottle of water is provided per stay, so I had to get my own water every day. Love the interior of the room, stylish and cosy.

Canal Belt Amsterdam|0.85km from city center
Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

A stylish design hotel next to the canal, with a good location, it takes more than 15 minutes to walk to the Central Station, Dam Square, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and Anne Frank House. The Western restaurant on the first floor is not expensive, the only drawback is that the price is high.

Very good hotel experience! All the way from Paris to Belgium, I stayed in several so-called classical and gorgeous hotels. Oude Centrum Amsterdam|0.28km from city center
The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam's Dam Square, to Chinatown, just a 10-minute walk from the red light district. The hotel is opposite the Queen's department store, the most exclusive department store in Amsterdam with many designer shops, and the shopping street is the second road on the left side of the hotel. On the pedestrian street, about two or thirty minutes is the flower market. On the right side is the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. On the first floor is the famous watch shop. Walk to Haicheng Restaurant for five minutes. The hotel has only 16 rooms in a boutique hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport. It can be reached by walk from Amsterdam Central Railway Station for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to take a taxi for large luggage, because the road along the road is uneven and difficult to tow. Between 20-30 euros, because you have to detour. The hotel ci is located on the third floor, the service is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, stylish and sophisticated, the smart panel control system is convenient to use, provide late bed service, welcome chocolate and use French Langfan toiletries in Amsterdam hotel Should be among the best. The hotel offers a restaurant on the third floor, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only products are available, and the price is not high. Because there are too many restaurants around the hotel, the competition is strong. The bar is also on the third floor, and the evening is fragrant. This hotel is worth checking in, but it needs to be booked 15 to 30 days in advance, otherwise the price will rise.

For a W hotel, the experience was not as good as it is in other locations The location is ok , but the tram passing by and the noisy bars might be noisy especially when you are on lower floors The room is OK , nothing really special about it, and feel soulless with kitchy decorations and wall paintings Breakfast is not bad as well Cleaning is ok but i found a silverfish on the room… not to mention as well that some amenities are not replaced if used… unless ordered Most of the staff were really helpful and nice , except a very rude one on the bank checkin counter that should change jobs if it’s annoying her that much The pool , spa and lounge and gym are really amazing but unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy them as much as we wanted because of the weather and time constraints Overall , i would say it’s a good value for money but there are better options in Amsterdam!

Waldorf Amsterdam. The location has nothing to say, just by the Gentleman's Canal, an old European house.1.2-1.5 kilometers from several major museums, within 20 minutes walk (the three-story canal and each few steps have a cute bridge and a small house like chocolate on the shore make the journey shorter). First-class service, breakfast is very good, smoked salmon and ham are made by themselves, the taste is very good, but the room meal is difficult to say 😭; Room hygiene is also an absolute standard. The floor of the light white bathroom, bathtub, shower, countertop, and anywhere can not find a trace of uncleanness. The cleaning waiter is still so haunted (like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); The bath is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, put it directly; basically, except for the expensive, there is nothing wrong with ~ I will consider living in Amsterdam next time.
