We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was ok but during our stay, no one came and clean up and we asked to change the towels only and the housekeeper seemed like she wasn't happy. When we checked in, the staff at the reception didn't give us any information on when to check out or information about the hostel because my application showed that I could check out until 5 pm, luckily I was asking. We don't ask for any special treatment but just the basic thing that we should've known. We've stayed at YHA Sydney Harbour and the staff were friendlier. Not that bad but not that good though.

The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to major attractions like Queen Street Mall and Central Station. We chose a two-bedroom, one-bathroom sky view apartment on the 60th floor, which offered fantastic views, especially the stunning night cityscape. It has two bedrooms, each accommodating two people. The living room comes with a sofa, dining table, and is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, washing machine, drying rack, and various tableware. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and bath towels are also provided. However, there are no slippers or toothbrushes, and housekeeping isn't offered for short stays of two days. I had researched this beforehand and, preferring my own items, brought my own slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, garbage bags, rags, and an extension cord. Overall, our stay was quite pleasant. Check-in was quick, and it's well-suited for families. The soundproofing between the two rooms wasn't great, though, and the internet signal was unstable, possibly due to being on such a high floor. Within a 5-10 minute walk, there are many supermarkets, restaurants, and a good selection of Japanese and Korean eateries, making it easy to buy food to bring back to the hotel. The overall value for money is good, and if I return to Brisbane, I would still choose this place.

Good value, right in the CBD which is good for first time visitors. Amenities are average and during my visit in December, there was a lot of renovation work during the day so it was a bit noisy especially when my room was right next to the renovation zone.

ibis Brisbane – Elizabeth Street: a fair, functional CBD stay The ibis Brisbane on Elizabeth Street sits right in the thick of the CBD, a short walk to Queen Street Mall, the river, and most of what central Brisbane throws at you. Location is its strongest card — if you’re in town for work, a conference, or a short stopover, it’s undeniably convenient. The hotel itself is… fine. This is a classic ibis: clean, practical, and unpretentious. Don’t come expecting boutique flair or resort-style comforts. Rooms are compact, the fit-out is basic, and everything works — which is really the point. One thing that does matter here is which room you get. Some rooms have genuinely good views over the Brisbane River or City Hall and feel brighter and more open. Others look straight into neighbouring buildings or internal spaces and can feel a bit boxed in. If a view matters to you, it’s worth asking at check-in or booking accordingly. Beds are comfortable enough for a solid night’s sleep, the bathroom is small but functional, and noise levels are generally reasonable given the central location. Staff are efficient rather than effusive, which suits the no-nonsense tone of the place. Bottom line: ibis Brisbane is a reliable, mid-range CBD hotel that does what it says on the tin. Nothing flash, nothing terrible — just a practical base in a very good location. The experience improves noticeably if you land one of the better rooms with a view.

Living Room bar is a must to visit !! Tony and his colleagues were super hospitable, mixed us most of the menu items, and our favourites were the Beet-ness and Espresso 2.0. We stayed for only the one night on the 19th floor and thought the view at night was great. Waking up to see so much of Brisbane in the morning was a real surprise. Breakfast Buffet menu options were vast, however we chose from the à la carte menu paired with some fantastic coffees to start the day.

Unfortunately it was not what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel. Our bedside light was broken, the room had a smell, like dirty carpets, the bed was uncomfortably soft with a mattress topper as it was 2 single beds pushed together where we booked a King Premium room, and only 1 of 3 lifts worked resulting in us having to wait at least 15 minutes to go from the 18th floor to reception with our luggage. Doubt I will go here again.

The hotel's location is great, right in the CBD, making it easy to get to all the attractions. The room facilities are also quite good; there's a mini-kitchen where you can prepare simple meals, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower pressure is strong. However, despite not being a very old hotel, the maintenance is terrible. The housekeeping is honestly quite disappointing, with many areas visibly unclean. It's clear there's significant room for improvement in their management.

The hotel is quite old; the facilities, room amenities, and even the elevators are showing their age. The biggest and most serious issue is the terrible soundproofing in the rooms. If you're looking for a relaxing stay where you can sleep in until you wake up naturally, this hotel is definitely not for you! However, if you wake up at 7 AM every day, then this hotel might be perfect. The soundproofing is incredibly poor! You can hear conversations from next door very clearly. If there are kids around, it's an absolute nightmare, unbelievably noisy! Plus, the room doors slam shut with a very loud bang every time. There were several families with children staying next to me, and every morning at 7 AM, it was a constant cycle of opening and closing doors, running, jumping, and shouting. I complained to the reception, but it only stopped for half a day before the running, jumping, and shouting started again. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and went down to reception to request a room change! If the staff had offered me a room change after my first complaint, I would have praised them highly. Unfortunately, they completely ignored it until I couldn't stand it anymore and demanded a room change. Only then did they move me, which doesn't really meet the standard for hotel service and problem-solving. Housekeeping wasn't very thorough; they only made the bed, didn't change the sheets, and sometimes remembered to change the towels, sometimes not. Also, the towels and sheets weren't very clean and had stains. As for vacuuming, it wasn't done daily; they only vacuumed if you asked them to, otherwise, they didn't. On a positive note, the hotel staff were polite, friendly, and always smiling. The rooms were also reasonably spacious with enough room for luggage. And the location is right in the city center, which is very convenient.

I found staying at this hotel at this particular time to be excellent value for money. The location is superb, right behind a casino. It appears to be associated with the Star Hotel group. This hotel is genuinely a historical landmark; I heard it was originally a treasury vault before being converted into a hotel. Both the room's design aesthetic and even the elevators are very unique. A huge plus for me was that when I arrived at 10 AM to drop off my luggage, the front desk staff said our room was ready, allowing us to check in early – what a fantastic surprise! Our room was spacious with high ceilings, and despite its visible history, it was impeccably clean. You could truly call it a work of art, reportedly 200 years old.

Excellent Hotel with Great Location and Staff! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic: just a 3-minute walk from the railway station, and close to the embankment, the city hall, and many shops and cafes. I want to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff, who were incredibly patient. My English isn't great, but they were so helpful in resolving my issues! Especially a guy from Hong Kong who even helped me translate the restaurant menu! Also, the restaurant's head chef, KK, is Chinese, and he specially prepared a pizza and fruit yogurt salad that suited our palate – generous portions and very fresh fruit! Super nice! The only downside is that the airport shuttle bus costs $8 per person and takes about 30 minutes, which isn't ideal. A taxi is also quite expensive at $20.

What an ‘Excellent Hotel’!!! 5 Stars from us. It dawned on me, what really sets a hotel above others, & I have concluded . . . genuine hospitality (with a special mention to Brody) whom epitomises genuine hospitality. After a long night of travel arriving late (due to unforeseen circumstances), Brody was so lovely. She felt more like an old friend than staff. She went above & beyond to meet our needs & sets this beautifully designed & artfully styled hotel apart from the others. Better than our expectation because the previous reviews were not too positive, however the room was very clean, and furnitures are new. Though room was small but that was clearly stated when we made the booking. One thing to consider is that the hotel lobby is going though some renovation, next to the hotel is a constructing site of a building so you would experiencing significant noises during the day. But if you just stay here for the night and spend the daytime outside should be fine.

First and foremost, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's incredibly convenient for transportation and very close to the city center and major attractions, making getting around a breeze. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice. The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy, and the lobby is spacious and bright. The front desk staff are warm, professional, and courteous; they proactively greet guests every time, making you feel right at home. Check-in and check-out were also incredibly efficient, with virtually no waiting time, making the entire process very smooth. The room layout is well-designed, offering ample space and excellent natural light. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, fully equipped, and the toiletries were of good quality. What pleasantly surprised me most was the excellent soundproofing in the room – I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms, allowing for a truly peaceful rest. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, catering to all tastes. The servers were also very attentive, proactively asking if guests needed assistance, which left a very positive impression. I also had the chance to experience the hotel's gym and swimming pool this time. Both were well-equipped and well-maintained, with a very clean and relaxing environment. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is comfortable and quiet, perfect for unwinding and rejuvenating. In summary, this is a high-quality hotel with excellent service, complete facilities, and a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it for both business trips and family vacations. It is the second time I come to this hotel. The location is great, but it's obviously getting old. The shower drain was not working well and the entire bathroom floor was full of water all the way to the carpet. Guests in other rooms are noisy: many party people at 3 AM just start talking in the hallway. But you can experience something right out of the 90s... you have to pay for internet! And it's super slow! I may stay these again because it's the only decent only in this area, but I would go elsewhere if I could.

Just stayed in this hotel, I haven't checked out, I can't help but talk about it. 1. The so-called Morandi color swimming pool, which is too stingy, similar to domestic hotels in the 1990s. Little Red Book claims to be ”I haven't been here before, I haven't been to Brisbane.” You can say this kind of crap, how much money you have collected, haha 2. Room facilities are ok, with electric curtains. It's just the same photo fraud. If you know how much I look forward to living here, it's the same as an ordinary hotel with more than 800 yuan. Why should I pay double the price? Who makes money is easy! 3. The ceiling and balcony are all cement floor paint. You can say that it is industrial style, but it is indeed low cost and not worth his price. 4. The parking space is $ 25 a night? It only cost $ 1.8 an hour to park by the side of the hotel, and it was free after 10pm to 7am. 5. The only good location is the location, there are many shops you want to visit, davidjones is just opposite, it is very convenient. After vomiting, I hope you do n’t spend money on thunder, just watched Ctrip, many good hotels are only 800.1000, you can watch the beautiful night view of Brisbane, you do n’t have to stick to the net red hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convenient - 10 min walk away from the convention centre. The train station and bus station is nearby and the walk to the nearby turbocat makes the hotel in a prime location for transport. The front desk was efficient and pleasant. Although I check in early and the rooms were not ready, they were nice to allow us to use the facilites on the 21st floor to relax and shower. Also on the 21st floor is the rooftop bar which has the best views of South bank and the skyline. The Vista King Suite was a huge room with large bathroom sitting area and the bed was super comfortable. It took me awhile to find the door, which was hidden behind a glass door enclosure to block out noise. Housekeeping was efficient and meticulous. Breakfast was either in the cafe on G/F or the 21st floor. Servings were hearty and filling from the a la carte menu.

GGuest UserPicked this hotel as it was close to the airport. Had to have a room change as the lift has been out of action due to floods, and we couldn't do stairs to the 2nd floor. Great comfortable bed. Lighting in the room was disappointing, but lots of lights were still not very bright for reading. Huge room with a dining table as well as 2 lounge chairs for watching the TV, which was small for the size of the room. The lady who checked us in helped us to our room by taking 2 bags for us. The location is a major plus, very close to Central Station (within walking distance) and not far from the long-distance bus terminal (a $7-8 Didi ride). It's also quite convenient for shopping in the city. The service was decent. There was a Chinese-speaking front desk staff during the day, though I'm not sure if they spoke Mandarin as we communicated entirely in English. In the evenings, the front desk was staffed by Indian colleagues, who were also good, just spoke a bit fast. Their attitude was very friendly. Breakfast was a buffet, and the offerings varied slightly each day. Items were replenished fairly quickly, though the staff were quite busy, making communication not always easy. Overall, it offers good value for money. Toothbrushes and slippers were not provided, but toiletries were. For charging, only USB and Australian plugs were available. Guests come from all over the world, with a good number from Taiwan and Korea. Hope this review helps!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was clean and tidy. The food at G floor was delicious and reasonably priced (had the lunch deal). Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The downsides are that, 1) the hotel is situated on top of a hill and getting there on foot with luggage wasn't great (budget traveller). I definitely would recommend uber-ing there despite its prime location to the city central, especially if you've got heavy or lots of luggage. 2) the walls are relatively thin and in the wee hours of the morning, I heard people running around the hallway and talking loudly which woke me up from my sleep (and I'm not a light sleeper). On another separate occasion, I also overheard a conversation from the next-door occupant, who was speaking loudly over the phone for over an hour. A little annoyed by the noise but otherwise everything else was a good experience!

An absolutely excellent place stay, would recommend, even just based on the staff and the breakfast. I observed that great care was taken of people checking in to stay who would be going to the hospitals local to the area. Check-in was so easy, and the reception staff was very kind. Things I loved: * the included healthy breakfast, * free on-site parking *Ferrari in the reception area (no idea why it's there, and I'm no car enthusiast, but it is a classy touch) * very friendly and kind staff * neat and good layout of room * comfortable bed * good air conditioning * friendly people throughout the building * walking distance to Chermside shopping centre * excellent price Thing I didn't like as much: * not really sound-proofed, you sometimes hear sounds from other rooms and hallways * the balcony area did have a bit of a smell in the early evening, dissuading me from eating outside until later on - this might have just been the day I stayed. It was nice enough later to leave the door open and have a bit of a breeze while sleeping. Highly recommended.

The location so convenient, near to Brisbane international airport. We booked 2bedrooms and stayed 1night before our departure flight on the next day. We like the place ,so clean and comfort for us. Except there is no elevator ,and our room was at 2nd floor. We had disable mother, pity to her.she was struggled to go up and down.
