I specifically requested a high-floor room with a view, but still ended up with a room overlooking the inner courtyard rooftop. The facilities are pretty basic, good enough for sleeping. Towel changes and water replenishment were insufficient.

I took my sister on this trip to Capetown. Everything was awesome. The service was top tier, from the concierge assisting us with local places to explore , to the on sight restaurants. I’ll definitely come back in the future. I was just disappointed with the hair on the bathroom floor upon checking in. We also had to request robes & sleepers as opposed to finding them available in the room.

City Bowl Cape Town|0.66km from city center
My recent stay at Pullman Cape Town was overall very pleasant. The hotel itself is modern, well-maintained, and conveniently located in the heart of the city. The lounge area is a real highlight stylish, comfortable, and offering an excellent selection of wines that showcase some great South African labels. It’s a perfect spot to unwind after a long day exploring the city. The front desk and reception staff were outstanding friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the stay. However, this high standard of service doesn’t quite carry through to the restaurants. Service there can be inconsistent, with some staff being great while others seem a bit disengaged. Breakfast was the most underwhelming part quite average with a limited selection, especially compared to the overall standard of the hotel. It’s functional but not memorable. On the plus side, the property offers free parking, which is a big advantage in central Cape Town, though it’s worth noting there’s no valet service. Overall, Pullman Cape Town delivers a comfortable and upscale stay with great hospitality at the front desk, an elegant lounge, and excellent wines just don’t expect the same polish at breakfast.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Town, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. Both the front desk and restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms aren't huge, but they are very well-equipped, especially the family rooms that can comfortably accommodate three people – which is quite rare for hotels in Cape Town. Cape Town is incredibly beautiful, and I will definitely be back!

Waterfront Cape Town|1.98km from city center
Advantages: It is close to the waterfront, the room is okay, and the space is large, with a separate living room. Disadvantages: Although it is close to the waterfront, the front and back buildings perfectly block all the landscape, and the waterfront and the Table Mountain cannot be seen. The worst part is that the hot water in the room is not automatic. My partner and I turned around for a long time and found a button. The water wasted for a long time. One person finished washing the other without hot water ... The worse thing is, A 1,000zar deposit was charged. My partner and I forgot to take the deposit when checking out, and they did not remind me. Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked. As a large hotel, the quality of employees is very problematic.

We booked the same room again on the 25th. Then we requested to check out at 1pm. We didn’t hear anything from no one. This morning at 10am there was knocking on our door. The lady said its time to check out. I said mo cause we requested to check out at 1pm. She went ahead and said there are extra fees and she will ask the front desk. 5min later knocked again on the door. Says no we cant stay and have to check out at 11am(note this was at 10:20am) when she told me, I went ahead and told her this is on them and we requested to leave later. She left, next minute, a man came back. All arrogant. Told me why didn’t I pack up my bags the previous night. Also said that if I dont leave cleaners will come. I said its okah they can come but I might still be busy packing up. He said if thats the case they can help me put my stuff outside. I told him I dont like the tone he is using and being aggressive. He said hr not aggressive but he definitely was and threatened me with security that will escort me out. He left and came back(note I was in my towel) he said he left me in my towel and I am still the same( note I took a shower, busy packing up stuff in the room as we came from abroad and had a lot of baggage) he said he is calling security. Then my husband came out of the room and told him why he using that tone with me and he been listening to him the whole time! This man immediately changed his whole tune when he saw my husband. So inappropriate! And disrespectful! Will definitely will not be staying here again.

This hotel is amazing ! Firstly I arrived early before check-in time. The friendly receptionist shared that the hotel offers a free safe luggage room (in the lobby area) , where I stored my luggage then went to explore the town. There are many restaurants/coffee shops and the bo-kaap tourist attraction at a walking distance from the hotel. 5-10 minute drive to the V&A water front. 35+ minutes to wine farms & about 25 minutes to camps bay. The hotel was very clean, safe and they served an amazing breakfast. The lobby/lounge also has charging ports

I have already paid in advance at Trip.com. The fat lady at the front desk copied the front and back of my credit card in an attempt to deduct the money again, but fortunately was stopped by the bank. Is it legal to copy the front and back of the guest credit card? Or this black fat lady, printing the boarding pass for 20 minutes can not be done.

The room looked a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. However, in the last 2 nights of my stay, the key card somehow did not register me as a guest which resulted in me having to go down to the reception to reactivate the card which was inconvenient, especially since I had already booked these 2 nights. Please also note that the hotel takes a deposit of 200 rands per night and it should be paid in cash which was a bummer since Cape Town was the last stop in my trip and I didn't have that much cash anymore and I won't want to withdraw just for this. Unfortunately, it seems that cash is the only way to go since other payment methods will result in losses. I ended up using my credit card to pay this deposit where they charged my card instead of placing a hold. When I checked out, they asked for all my card details including CVV to process the refund. Unfortunately, a month later, I still did not receive a refund on my card. It took another month before I got the refund via bank transfer. To my horror, I received 32% less because this was charged by the hotel's bank. The hotel stated that the hotel does not bear the transfer cost and claimed that my card did not work when they attempted to refund. However, the attempt to refund to my card was never mentioned in my e-mail correspondences. In conclusion, the hotel room is generally pleasant to stay in but avoid using your card to pay the deposit to avoid the above problems.

The Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town. We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay. We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later. The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this. Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.

The hotel is located inside the Business School of the University of Cape Town. It has a beautiful building and is said to have a long history. The environment is good, quiet, and safe. You can take an Uber directly to the yard. The location is great, next to the waterfront. The entire commercial area is patrolled by security guards. As long as it is not too late at night, it is no problem to wander around alone. The roadside next to the hotel is the citysightseeing station and service point, and there is also a very famous aquarium. The hotel itself is a bit shabby according to the current domestic standards. The lobby and rooms are relatively small, and the facilities are also a bit simple, but the overall maintenance is relatively clean, and the waiters clean very carefully. Basically, the stay is quite comfortable, and the breakfast is good

The hotel is located at the heart of the nightlife. Close to so many cool bars like The drinkery, House of Machine, and Art of Duplicity(amazing hidden jazz bar). The overall experience was good, friendly staff and good installations, we liked the breakfast and the gym, also great views to the table mountain and lions head from the room and the pool. Location wise also great, walking distance to most things in the region. However, some structural issues should be mentioned. The windows are old, without proper noise isolation - they even open fully which is unusual for a hotel. We could hear the wind blowing very loudly, also the music from clubs around there during the night. The bathroom has a major design flaw and every shower unavoidably results in a completely wet floor. Despite that, room was very cozy and comfortable.

The hotel’s location was very convenient and central to everything we wanted to do, which made getting around easy. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the rooms were well maintained. I appreciated that the sheets were changed daily, although housekeeping did not sweep the floors every day. One concern was the corridor, which sometimes smelled like **** and trash, and this occasionally made me feel a bit unsafe. This could also be because I am not familiar with the surrounding environment. The gym is very small. Overall, the hotel itself was pleasant, and the staff provided good service, but improvements to cleanliness and hallway maintenance would make the experience even better.

Here's what I liked: - The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean. - Housekeeping was good, and the staff was very polite. - You can rent a towel at the reception for an extra fee. - Each bed has a locker for your belongings, but it's better to bring your own padlock for peace of mind. - There's a co-working space where you can grab coffee and chat with people. A big plus was the location in Green Point: it's easy to get around and explore, with many great spots nearby. I also liked that it didn't feel like a typical 'dormitory' but more like an apartment: a kitchen + a shared living room and two bedrooms – one for 2 people and another for 6. It was very cozy and beautifully designed.

The bed is very comfortable, we slept like logs, the embankment is 25 minutes walk away, 5 minutes by taxi, a good breakfast, a choice of a burger with egg, bacon and fries, or pancakes with jam, or soup, or cereal with yogurt Towels were given upon check-in, a hairdryer upon request, luggage is stored in the storage room for free 😁 There is no table in the room, just three ottomans, I ordered two separate beds, they gave me one, I had to go and sort it out, after a day on the road .

Everything is good but the reception needs more hospitality training. The booking had breakfast included but the guy at the reception said ” the price you paid for the room shouldn't have breakfast included” That's a very rude reply. Trip.com support solved the issues for me later. The breakfast is not ”buffet ” as listed. You got to choose from three options from a cafe. No shampoo and shower gel in the room. We had to ask the reception. Even though we stayed for three nights, the second time we asked for more shampoo, they said they can only supply once. We also requested through their housekeeping service app, nothing happened. The room is clean and comfortable. For the price, we are happy with the room and hotel location.

The hostel itself is stylishly designed with modern amenities and cozy communal areas where I could relax and socialize with fellow travelers. The rooms were clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views of Cape Town and the perfect spot to unwind with a drink while watching the sunset.
