We booked the same room again on the 25th. Then we requested to check out at 1pm. We didn’t hear anything from no one. This morning at 10am there was knocking on our door. The lady said its time to check out. I said mo cause we requested to check out at 1pm. She went ahead and said there are extra fees and she will ask the front desk. 5min later knocked again on the door. Says no we cant stay and have to check out at 11am(note this was at 10:20am) when she told me, I went ahead and told her this is on them and we requested to leave later. She left, next minute, a man came back. All arrogant. Told me why didn’t I pack up my bags the previous night. Also said that if I dont leave cleaners will come. I said its okah they can come but I might still be busy packing up. He said if thats the case they can help me put my stuff outside. I told him I dont like the tone he is using and being aggressive. He said hr not aggressive but he definitely was and threatened me with security that will escort me out. He left and came back(note I was in my towel) he said he left me in my towel and I am still the same( note I took a shower, busy packing up stuff in the room as we came from abroad and had a lot of baggage) he said he is calling security. Then my husband came out of the room and told him why he using that tone with me and he been listening to him the whole time! This man immediately changed his whole tune when he saw my husband. So inappropriate! And disrespectful! Will definitely will not be staying here again.From€103

The friendly receptionist shared that the hotel offers a free safe luggage room (in the lobby area) , where I stored my luggage then went to explore the town. There are many restaurants/coffee shops and the bo-kaap tourist attraction at a walking distance from the hotel. 5-10 minute drive to the V&A water front. 35+ minutes to wine farms & about 25 minutes to camps bay. The Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town.
We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay.
We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later.
The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this.
Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.From€385

Advantages: It is close to the waterfront, the room is okay, and the space is large, with a separate living room.
Disadvantages: Although it is close to the waterfront, the front and back buildings perfectly block all the landscape, and the waterfront and the Table Mountain cannot be seen. The worst part is that the hot water in the room is not automatic. My partner and I turned around for a long time and found a button. The water wasted for a long time. One person finished washing the other without hot water ... The worse thing is, A 1,000zar deposit was charged. My partner and I forgot to take the deposit when checking out, and they did not remind me. Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked. As a large hotel, the quality of employees is very problematic.SOLD OUT

Service was great too, especially at the reception / valet which helps park and retrieve your car whenever you need. Hotel serves a decent breakfast with international selection and an eggs station. Only gripe is that the hotel and rooms are showing signs of aging, with occasional whiffs of stench from the bathroom drains which woke us up one night (not for long thankfully). It feels that this hotel is the best in one of the few international hotel chains in Cape Town. The room I chose to open the balcony door is the vast Atlantic Ocean. There is no obstruction and the view is very good. Sitting on the balcony when the sun goes down and imagining the dense crowds of distant ships in the past is also a beautiful experience. The hotel's hardware facilities belong to Radisson's normal level. Many of the concierges will have a sentence or two in Chinese, and some of them will be quite a few. The hotel's facilities are quite complete, there is a small indoor swimming pool, the water temperature is quite suitable, and there is not a big gym. The hotel's breakfast can be ordered with some South African specialties, which is still very good. Room was tidy. Had a safe. Gym was excelldnt. Staff were do lovely too.
Security guys were super helpful. You take a uber everywhere pretty much so this was a great base. Although did walk to shops and few attractions.From€82

The hotel is located inside the Business School of the University of Cape Town. It has a beautiful building and is said to have a long history. The environment is good, quiet, and safe. You can take an Uber directly to the yard.
The location is great, next to the waterfront. The entire commercial area is patrolled by security guards. As long as it is not too late at night, it is no problem to wander around alone. The roadside next to the hotel is the citysightseeing station and service point, and there is also a very famous aquarium.
The hotel itself is a bit shabby according to the current domestic standards. The lobby and rooms are relatively small, and the facilities are also a bit simple, but the overall maintenance is relatively clean, and the waiters clean very carefully. The hotel itself is majestic. The entrance with the green leaves trickling off the arched awning is reminiscent to a scene in a movie. The room was elegant and had a classic homie feel. The hotel is located at the heart of the nightlife. Close to so many cool bars like The drinkery, House of Machine, and Art of Duplicity(amazing hidden jazz bar). The staff was welcoming and always smiled, but there was a moment on the second day as I walked up the beautifully carpeted stairway leading to my room where I got confronted about whether I was a guest or not. The overall experience was good, friendly staff and good installations, we liked the breakfast and the gym, also great views to the table mountain and lions head from the room and the pool. Location wise also great, walking distance to most things in the region. However, some structural issues should be mentioned. The windows are old, without proper noise isolation - they even open fully which is unusual for a hotel. We could hear the wind blowing very loudly, also the music from clubs around there during the night. The bathroom has a major design flaw and every shower unavoidably results in a completely wet floor.
Despite that, room was very cozy and comfortable.From€88

This stay was absolutely magnificent from arrival to departure, upgraded as we arrived at the hotel. The staff, incredible! Always doing more than asked, going out of their way to assist in making plans, arranging transport or just providing extra information.
Shout out to Claudia, who was patient and articulate. She stopped her work in order to attend to me at all times.
Shout out to Dewald, humorous, witty and exquisitely piquant. Always up for a conversation amd willing to make anything amd everything more convenient for the guests.

It is very unfortunate that the backpack was placed in the hotel room, and the cash theft occurred, which caused a large loss. |16.31km from city centerThis hotel welcomed us with open arms!!! From the minute we arrived they were very friendly and helpful, check in was so easy a quick. We pre booked dofferent experiences and ended up changing all the times but they did this very easily and still we managed to do everything we wanted to. The resturant staff were super friendly and it was so nice being able to just walk across to eat at night times. It's a very quiet hotel with beautiful surroundings and the rooms are second to none.
