Short walking distance from downtown. Very quiet location. I would rent again and highly recommend to everyone.

We arrived here from Munich by train, took bus directly from the station to the hotel checkin door. Checkin is at Hotel Neutor which is a separate hotel but jointly managed. Breakfast is available in Hotel Neutor and was good but not outstanding and slightly pricey. Staff spoke very good english and was very helpful - She booked a fine evening Mozart performance by talented local musicians in Festung Hohensalzburg for us. The hotel room was adequate and unimpressive. The interior was dated and worn but seemed basically clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is just on the other side of the ridge behind Salzburg old city but tunnels through the ridge allow walking and driving directly to it from the hotel. The room was minimal and did not include any chair or desk. Only bedside tables were present. The hotel price was much cheaper than hotels in the old city and nearly as convenient. The neighborhood was pretty quiet at night with almost no traffic and felt quite safe. We ate all our meals in the old city and did not see many dining choices on the hotel side of the ridge. If you will use the room only as a place to sleep and clean up this is a very good option, but it falls short if you want to lie around the room or have friends to visit in your room.

Location: Very close to the old town. From the hotel through the tunnel, the left side is the horse pool, and the road is the old town. But the room rate is much cheaper than the old town, it is an excellent choice. Transportation: Downstairs is the bus stop, No. 1 bus directly to Central Station, ticket 2.4 Euro, can be purchased from the hotel reception Facilities: No air conditioning, no heating. So embarrassed: no windows, no air, open windows, noisy ** (roadside) More interestingly, the bath and toilet are separated, and the two people can stay at the time of check-in without affecting each other. There is inconvenient shopping nearby, about seven or eight minutes walk, there is a supermarket; there is an Asian restaurant at the entrance of the tunnel, the price is not known Finally, I also encountered the customer service door incident... speechless. The lobby is relatively thin , This trip was only for one night, and I couldn't really enjoy their service, so I don't know. mainly hotels over there have to pay additional fees ( government regulations) The quilt is clean , the bus stop is outside the hotel , and it takes within 20 minutes to go out , There is a Chinese restaurant next to it, so the environment is good.

I stayed there for only one night and it was a quite interesting experience for me because I am not used to this kind of Rustic accommodation. The Building is old and unfortunately, you can hear almost everyone walking by. Even though I booked with breakfast, I didn’t have breakfast because I wanted to sleep a bit more. During check-out ( 11:00 ) I asked if I could have a Coffee To Go. They said, they don’t have Take-Away Cups (which I quess is good for the environment)..... Nevertheless, I didn’t stay much longer and left the Hotel. Overall, a nice Old fashioned Hotel, with a very nice Greek Restaurant nearby. Will I book it again…..Well.......probably not..... I kind a feel that the Hotel prices are high for this kind of accommodation. Free WiFi. Taxis are near by.

We arrived at midnight because our train was late and instead of 23 we were 2:00. Contrary to expectations, instead of one sleeping person in the reception, we were welcomed at the entrance to 2 nice ladies who were very efficiently transmitting all the information we needed. The kitchen was perfectly equipped, access to spices and water. The service throughout our stay was nice and helpful. Mr. Paul was very helpful and often nice to talk. And at night the facility didn't die. Life was going very well, as for such a place, equipped with bars with very good prices, at the table for table tennis (there was the queen of Mrs Milena) and in front of the main doors. The entire facility is very charming, in a quiet area, and at the same time in 20 minutes you can reach the city center.

This is probably the best place we have ever stayed! Alex and Iris are great hosts, friendly and very helpful. Everything is perfect. The rooms are spotless, the toiletries luxurious, bed very comfortable, great to have tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was lovely, great choice, lots of homemade and local produce and my husband said it was the best omelette he'd eaten. Lots of information on things to do in Salzburg. 20 minute easy walk or quick bus ride into the old town to get to Christmas markets and other museums and attractions. Easy to get to from the airport. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Alex and Iris!

We got a two person room with 2 twin beds. It’s a size of a college dorm room. The toilet space is tiny with a roll of toilet paper on the sink. The shampoo is all in one that includes conditioner and body wash. Parking is limited with first come first serve. There are 4 spaces in the building and the rest are parallel parking on the street. The city center is a 25 minute walk. You can take a bus that drops you off by the tunnel and walk the rest. We booked the hotel that included daily breakfast that starts at 7am-10am. Your typical European continental breakfast with the pastries, cheese, meats, eggs, beverages. You must check in to tell them your room number. You may sit at either of their two dining rooms. Each room is equipped with a battery operated safe that consist of 4 AA batteries. We were skeptical to use this in case battery died with our passports and valuables which was an inconvenience. Our room did not have a fridge but my family got a 4 person room next door. It was a queen bed with two twin separated by a sliding door. They had a fridge and hot water kettle.

The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. The bus to Salzburg is only 15 minutes away, but there are several buses going at the same time, and Hellbrunn or Cable Kata are both on the mountain, so if you have a timetable to go there, you can stay in the hotel, especially if you travel from Take the Flix or Leo bus in Prague or elsewhere. This is the direction from the station to the city, so you can find accommodation earlier because the accommodation is earlier than the city. The staff are friendly and it rains a lot in Salzgan, so I rented an umbrella from the hotel and used it well. The disadvantage is that it is air-conditioned, so I chose this type of accommodation, which is usually not what we think it is, but a fan-like device. Please note that air conditioning is installed. However, it rained on the day we went, so that air conditioning was not needed. Opening the window and blowing the wind is much cooler than opening the air conditioner. You can open the window, because there are no mosquitoes, it doesn't matter. In addition to the disappointment with the air conditioning, the price is cheaper than the accommodation in Salzburg, so you can take the bus.

The very best experience, especially as the last stop on our journey. Starting from check-in, the hosts were very gracious with our very late check in and made us feel so welcome. The room is very chic and comfortable. But my favorite part was the breakfast! It's so wonderful and sets the day right from the get go. The service was impeccable, warm and very friendly. Honestly, I felt like I was staying at a friend's house! We also had dinner one of the nights in the restaurant and it was delicious and fun- very warm and enjoyable ambiance. We had enough options as a vegetarian as well. The location is also fantastic- right in the middle of the old city- great for walking around and enjoying the shops in the neighborhood, as well as very close to all touristic spots. I highly recommend this hotel and 10/10 would come again!

I really wanted to like this hotel, but ultimately left with a sour experience. The first two days our experience was excellent. The staff was wonderful and accommodating.  The first day we went to the front desk and ordered a pizza. The staff member on duty asked if we wanted it served in the room or in the restaurant.  We said the room and she kindly delivered it to the room. The third night we arrived back at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing around 9pm. As the hotel is located in a residential neighborhood there was nothing around other than the restaurant at the hotel.  We asked the front desk if we could order a pizza (please note this is the only thing they serve at night), and the staff member on duty coldly told us NO and then said they were not a pizza restaurant.  Then she asked us if we were guests of the hotel ”do you have room here?”.  She said the restaurant closed at 9, but then during the same conversation told us the restaurant closed at 10.  After asking if there was anything we could get at that late hour she made us a pizza but was very annoyed about it.  Further, and this what really disappointed us, she told us we were not allowed to take the pizza to the room as eating in the room was not allowed (even though there is a mini bar and snacks in the room), and we were also not allowed to eat in the restaurant, so we had to eat the pizza in the hallway of the hotel.  It was embarrassing and humiliating.   Real shame as we were enjoying our stay but this really made us feel unwelcome.

Arrived on 11.06.2023 at around 3 am. Sent an email before hand that we would be arriving at said time via train. When we got to the hostel, check in counter was not manned with sign to call reception phone. Tried calling phone number several times it did not connect, when it got through it went straight to voice mail. Been waiting for more than half an hour at 3 am, tired and exhausted from the journey when a group of drunk men entered the lobby and was gaining access to the bar which was also unmanned. They went behind the counter, opening the fridge with beers, it was only then when a very sleepy, exhausted and unapologetic staff appeared. Check in process took a long time since she even had to check if the room was ready, a room I already paid in advance for to reserve it since I knew we would be arriving after 6 pm - their cut off time for room reservation of free cancellation bookings.

Room had kitchenette (we had only booked a simple double) so that was quite a handy, unexpected feature. Modern bathroom, powerful hot shower, extremely comfy beds.

Booked this hotel for our ski holiday as only 60-90 mins from many ski resorts. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice and every day had scrambled eggs and bacon plus many other options. Bus too opposite with number 4 bus running about every 20 mins until about 2230 hours. Cost for single is €3 euros. (Only take cash on buses). They also offer a day ticket for €4.50 but not sure if you have to buy this from a machine as didn’t offer on bus. You can buy a return ticket! We never had an issue with parking although the car park was often busy as the Sushi restaurant is very popular. There is also a Chinese buffet restaurant opposite called Huy Cook and Eat. ({€25). Food was good. They offered lots of raw fish and I wasn’t aware that they actually cook it for you! Rooms were cleaned every day and shower was awesome. I would have given this 5 stars but some of the reception staff weren’t very helpful. Eg. Not knowing any information about basic stuff like the buses!

We have stayed in this building for three nights, and I am sorry to say that, but given the cost not very small, I find it unacceptable to clean the room almost absent; we have always found them in beds as we had left them: sticks. The mini kit in the bathroom (which they give in the furniture with shower pads, cotton fit, needle and wire, to understand us) was already half empty at our arrival on the first day, I imagine left so by those before us, so not even for the The room was prepared ex novo and they were concerned to supply it, and so it remained throughout our stay. The same applies to the liquid soap next to the washing machine that has never been charged in three days, so much that at the end we had to use the second supplier in the shower to wash our hands. Two other unpleasant surprises were the glasses, dirty two out of three, and a couple of hotel chiabats inside the box, certainly not in the Villa, since they were clearly used and simply forgotten there by someone. The point is that in the preparation of the room for new guests, who should have removed them, as well as to ensure the filling of the liquid soap doser and change the multi-use kit The position is little to say, we knew that it was not at the centre and that it was necessary to take public means to reach it, not exactly comfortable, but feasible. Sorry for the bad quality of cleaning and care of the rooms, especially for that price.

Leaving the new city for about 20 minutes by car, the hotel is halfway up the mountain and is small in scale. It is similar to a mountain villa. It has a three-story building with no elevator and a small swimming pool in the courtyard. The size of the room is good, but the configuration is relatively simple. The lock to open the door is very old-fashioned and inconvenient to carry. The restaurant is decorated very warmly. It feels fresh in the morning and the view is open.

From Vienna to Salzburg by train, the scenery is very good all the way, just think of a few words: the field of hope. His eyes are green. Salzburg Central Station is not far from the hotel on foot. It seems like a few bus stops from the old town. The hotel staff is friendly and there is a supermarket nearby. Unfortunately, the weather was not good when we went to the fortress of Salzburg, otherwise it must be beautiful. The last picture is looking out of the room.

I have nothing but accolades for this hotel. 1) location - walk from the hotel to most everything you want to go to (yes, it may be about a mile, but you’re on vacation, and you could do with a little exercise, couldn’t you). 2) Konstantina - at check in - welcomed us with humor, practical advice. and kindness 3) rooms were gigantic by European standards, and clean 4) the fitness center is fantastic

The restaurant was not available and we were told beforehand so I can’t rate that. However the room size for 3 was plenty and was good for the price. The room was clean and had one larger bed a a single that were a little firm but comfortable, pillows and a blanket on each and were nicely made. A small table was in the middle of the room under a tv with on a pivot arm, so if you travel with an hdmi cable you’ll be able to access it. There were two windows/doors that were both useable and on even led to a small patio with a couple of chairs. Inclement weather kept us from utilizing this. There is also a standing fan for use and a wardrobe to keep your clothes in. The building is situated between a couple of bus stops for easy access so pick up a day pass for your duration. Using google maps will tell you which bus number to get on and when to exit the bus. The bathroom was well equipped and has an enclosed corner shower which is small (3.5ft/4ft square?) so keep your elbows in! Shower gel was provided as was hand soap at the sink. The towel rack was right about the radiator if you want to warm up your towels prior. Any time after May and you might not want to. The hotel isn’t flashy and the lobby is nice and well done. We stayed for 3 nights and tried to opt for an additional night but the room was already booked. We didn’t have any street noise and didn’t really hear any room neighbors until the last night. Thank you to the staff for their language skills!
