The hotel is at the entrance of kampin subway station, across the road is the subway entrance, and there are many trams. It can be reached by train from the airport to the central station, or a ten-minute walk, and the city center is around , Helsinki's new library, concert hall, contemporary art gallery, silent church and other attractions.
The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the facilities are fully renovated, that is, the toiletries and slippers need to go to the front desk. Now all the hotels in environmental protection do not provide them actively.

The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the central train station and within walking distance to all the city's popular attractions. The room layout is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide range of dining options. The service and staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming! We especially enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, which was open until 10pm, allowing us to enjoy dinner at the end of a day of sightseeing, and the food was delicious. Room was big and spacious. Breakfast was great and the staff were polite whenever I meet them along the way to the lift or back to my room. I would like to suggest if a dual card can be provided so that the room can be kept alight when the card key is removed and bring out as sometime the room is too dark and the door closes too fast before I can slot in the card. Our room had a comfortable bed, and we appreciated the complimentary sauna. The breakfast was outstanding – very generous and delicious, highly recommended.
A minor point for improvement was the check-in process: Upon arriving around 11:30 AM, we were informed that our room was ready, but only if we paid an extra €20 for early check-in. The hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.From€28

The area around the hotel seemed to be more of a business district with many companies, rather than a tourist spot. It's a bit of a distance from the city center, but it's within walking distance to the subway, and only one stop away from Kamppi, the city's central hub. You can enjoy sea views right from your bed; the beautiful scenery from the window was the biggest highlight of our trip and the main reason we kept extending our stay.
The only downside was the housekeeping, which was quite disappointing. Even though we extended our stay, a thorough daily cleaning should still be expected, shouldn't it? There were coffee stains on the mugs, dirty spoons weren't replaced, and even urine stains on the toilet seat...
Despite these issues, the value for money was still quite high. Helsinki truly stands out as the Nordic capital offering the best value for hotels, and I believe this hotel's excellent value significantly boosted my overall impression of the city.From€74

Perfect location just right outside of the hotel is a tram stop. It has a grand lobby with a nice overlooking of a Town Square which is good for People Watching. Room is clean and spacious. I was able to checkin early at 12pm.
My only complaint is the pillow. It’s too ‘bloated’ and not comfortable for sleeping. So I used the duvet of my other bed (being in a Twind Bed Room) as my pillow. The handwash container was empty. But the shower is nice. Strong waterflow.From€86

The hostel is well-equipped with excellent facilities, including a very handy communal kitchen. Had a wonderful stay at Sokos hotel. The rooms were very clean, quiet, comfortable and also suitable for business travels (mini fridge, iron, nice small closet).

The stay was okay, except there was no slippers provided even when i stayed at the junior suite. Also the reception services wasnt great. Some were very helpful (i believe her name was vilma) while others were not. When i was checking out to take a uber to the airport, this lady told me i should not be taking uber outside the hotel and if i wanted to, i should do it away from the hotel. She suggested to take the taxis parked outside. Foolishly i thought at worst, the taxis would cost maybe double of the uber (which was 22euros) to my horror, the bill came out to be 90euros. The taxi driver drove so slowly, i felt i shld be walking, until i gave him a piece of my mind only then did he speed up. I suspect the meter is rigged (jumped 10cent euros every 7-8sec? Hotel is lovely and the room is spacious and very clean. It’s very close to Helsinki city centre, about 15 minutes and just across the river. Buffet breakfast is delicious and fresh with plenty of options. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and in particular, the lovely lady in the kitchen is always smiling, warm, cheerful and greets everyone good morning on arrival for breakfast. It really makes a difference to the start of the day. If you don’t have a lot of luggage and arrive by train from the airport, this hotel is a short 15 minutes from from Helsinki Central station. Otherwise there is a train stop underground just a little to the left of the hotel and tram stop right in front of the hotel which is currently under renovations.From€68

Overall stay was ok. However room design was very weird. Bathroom floors were not heated which wasn’t great during the cold weather. Tried calling reception several times to request for an extra heater as the room heating wasn’t sufficient. Nobody answered and had to go down to reception to request for one. Funny thing is even the reception staff was not aware if it was available.
I have never been to a hotel where the staff at reception would answer me with “I don’t know” or I’m not sure, I need to check. Breakfast spread was good with many choices.From€109

Overall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank youFrom€92

Location: The hotel is in a good location. It takes about half an hour to take the i or p line train from the airport to an important station. Overall really nice and centrally located hotel. Close to the main railway station. All floors have different themes related to Finnish nature (Winter storm, Midsummer, Fairytale forest, Sisu, Tranquility) and the front desk let us choose between a couple of themes. We weren't sure what they were going to be like, but chose Fairytale forest, which was ok.
The room was a bit on the small side and with a view to an inner courtyard - however this was to be expected with the room type. The room was really quiet, which was a bonus in the middle of the city! Breakfast was nice, mostly European style with breads etc. Would definitely recommend the hotel for the central location and Finnish style, if you want to experience that.From€118

Beyond my expectation. Hotel was super clean and amenities is beyond (honey, sweets, ear plugs, slippers, you name it you got it) and up to par with big chain hotels. If there’s insufficient amenities,, you can pick it up from the hotel lobby.
Breakfast selection was great and super yummy! Their sausages was and bacon was so good!
Location is just a 10 min walk to the central train station.
The staff was totally excellent and so very helpful in every way.
