THE MAP ON CTRIP IS INCORRECT!!! This is not the hotels fault. Please do not go by the map provided by CTRIP or you will end up going in a big circle and waste 1-2 hours for no reason. The hotel is located right near Alishan Station. You will find a set of stairs next to the visitors center and the hotel is right at the bottom. It is quite a lot of stairs to walk, especially if you are carrying a lot of luggage. The staff speak a little bit of English and are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and room is comfortable with a decent heater.

The location can be a little tricky, a very narrow drive to the Minsu. Minsu owner is extremely friendly. Hosted us to a tea ceremony and had a little chat. Pls note there is no restaurant nearby and do prepare your dinner in advance. Located just beside a tea plantation, our room has splendid view of the tea plantation. Had a enjoyable walk at the plantation too. Breakfast was simple but sumptuous. We went on summer but the weather there was slightly cooler. Minsu owner provided us with mosquito coil to figer mozzie. Overall a good stay here

It is helpful to use a translator app. - Delicious Chinese breakfast with a view of the surrounding mountains and tea fields included - The accommodation is a bit difficult to find and not that easy to get to, as you can only access it via a narrow mountain road. However, there are enough parking spaces available. - Beautiful quiet location in the middle of tea fields - 10 minutes by car from Fenqihu, where there is the nearest food option (supermarket, restaurants, etc.)

After entering the store, it feels very dark, there is no sunlight, the quilt on the bed does not feel clean, and the white sheet does not feel clean. It is not recommended to move in. The price is relatively affordable. If you do not care about the price, it is not recommended to order.

The environment is nice, but breakfast is pretty average. There seems to be an issue with staff training and efficiency. We arrived around 12 PM, hoping to store our luggage, but the hotel also offers afternoon tea starting at 2 PM, which they didn't mention upfront. When we came back to check in, they only then informed us it was available until 5 PM. If they're worried about guests eating too much, they don't have to offer it at all. Also, the 4 PM check-in time isn't an issue since we knew that when booking. However, the check-in process itself was incredibly slow. Then, having to check out by 11 AM the next day made it feel like we were constantly losing time. When we raised these concerns with the staff, they were very polite and offered some compensation. But compensation is always after the fact, and the initial experience left a bad impression. It really shows that the staff training isn't up to par. If the room rate wasn't expensive, these wouldn't be big problems. But if the hotel positions itself at a certain level and charges accordingly, then I feel their overall service doesn't match up at all, which is a real shame.

When i reserved the hotel, i have no idea how to get to the hotel, and didn’t receive any reply from the hotel. Fortunately, it isn’t that difficult to locate the shuttle bus pick up details from the hotel website. This hotel is located inside the Alishan National Park, its shuttle bus can be boarding at the Alishan transit area (just at the Alishan National Park entrance, and where the public bus 7322,7239 are alighting or picking passengers). Otherwise, walk in after the park ticket purchase. Shuttle bus has a stop at the Information Centre, inside the Alishan National Park. Room was given an upgrade and has two king size beds (each is made up of two individual bed joining, not so idea though). 2 wash basin, no fighting over. Room deco is old design but overall is comfortable. I also wanted to compliment two staff a the restaurant where buffet breakfast and dinner are provided- mr Jacky and mdm Jhang. Both provided great insights on the routes to xianglin shenmu and that helped us for not missing out; highlighted to us on the special fruits of taiwan, and that made foreigners. They both made our first trip to Alishan a pleasant and our stay a pleasure.

If it’s not a wednesday and you don’t want to ride the wooden cypress train up to zhaoping then the hotel’s shuttle from the visitor center is a great start. There’s a shuttle up to 9:35am then restarts from 12:30pm. It takes just around 5 minutes to get to this hotel by shuttle and walking from the zhaoping station. The hotel location is on the top slope so it’s a great starting point going down to sisters pond to the temple. On the 2nd day, we walked down also from the other side to the alishan hotel to the thousand cypress tree. For sunrise, you can just walk to the zhaoping line from here, ride the train to zhushan then walk back the old unised railroad back up. Hotel checkin was fast. For meals, we went down via shuttle then back up again. 8am Breakfast at the hotel requires reservation and runs out. The room was clean and has hot water. Very nice location.

After reading other reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pros are its excellent location, just a 5-7 minute walk to Alishan Railway Station. There's parking right in front, which is great for those driving. The breakfast restaurant they partner with is also really good! 👍👍👍 The downside is the poor soundproofing; you occasionally hear footsteps or people talking. However, since I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly, so it didn't bother me much. 🤣🤣🤣

Highly recommended if you are looking for a chill and comfortable stay. The environment was great, quiet, and relaxing, while the owner was very friendly and helpful. The owner requested an additional TWD200 for my 5-year-old boy and kindly upgraded our room from 3 double beds to 4 double beds. The breakfast was comforting and tasty. They also provided stationery and coloring materials for kids to draw and paint, which was perfect for keeping my little one entertained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The owner also kindly explained the route to Alishan and even brought us to watch the sunrise, which made the experience even more memorable.

The hotel provides basic facilities, and I didn't expect good soundproofing, so I have no complaints there. I saw many complaints in the comments section about the lack of a shower curtain, but the owner seems completely indifferent to guest feedback, not bothering to make even simple improvements. So the bathroom and toilet just get completely soaked. Are all hotel rooms in Alishan small? This 10-something square meter room definitely isn't worth the price. There's no heating or air conditioning in the room. I saw vents and a central control system, but they weren't on? This wasn't mentioned when booking. After I booked, I received an email saying they don't have AC. It got a bit cold in the middle of the night, and they wanted an extra 200 for an additional blanket after I checked in. Is it normal to charge extra for basic comfort like staying warm? And a major issue: the hotel doesn't have an elevator. I saw a guest staying on the fifth floor struggling terribly with their luggage.

A guesthouse surrounded by tea fields. The views, facilities, service, and food were all excellent. The landscaping on the property is very well-maintained. The walk there from Fukuyama bus stop was an easy 30-minute downhill stroll. The next morning, the guesthouse staff drove me back. I walked to the observation deck, less than 10 minutes away, to watch the sunrise, which was also fantastic under clear skies. There was a tour group, but I only saw them at meal times, so it wasn't noisy and I had a comfortable stay. I'd love to visit again as a summer mountain retreat.

Our stay in the family room at Fenqihu Hotel truly exceeded expectations! The room was much more spacious than I imagined; we could spread out our luggage with plenty of room to spare, which is a huge plus for families traveling together. The beds were incredibly comfortable – I fell asleep instantly, getting that much-needed relaxation during a trip 😌. What I loved most was how clean the entire place was.
