## Amanfayun Stay Review **Pros:** * Superb location, just a 5-minute walk to Lingyin Temple/Feilai Peak, boasting unique and precious scenic resources. * The rooms beautifully preserve the ancient village aesthetic, with wooden structures and Zen-inspired furnishings creating a serene atmosphere. The bedding comfort was also top-notch. **Cons:** 1. **Privacy Concerns:** The hotel's pathways are open to the public, leading to numerous non-guests passing through in the mornings and evenings. Views from outside the guest rooms are only partially screened by trees, which significantly undermines Aman's core promise of 'hidden luxury and privacy.' 2. **Outdated Facilities:** The room facilities are notably old. The showerhead couldn't regulate water temperature, forcing me to take a cold shower late at night. We had to contact the front desk the following day for maintenance. 3. **Lack of Proactive Service:** For butler service, guests need to proactively request contact information, and the response mechanism for basic needs felt passive. This is a significant deviation from the 'invisible' or 'seamless' service one expects from a luxury hotel. **Summary:** In conclusion, while the historical charm and location are definite highlights, the lapses in privacy protection, facility maintenance, and service details fall short of 'top-tier luxury' standards. I hope the brand can better understand and address the specific needs of its core clientele.

Amanfayun Hangzhou is a serene retreat, a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. Despite its urban location and proximity to tourist attractions, a profound sense of peace and quiet immediately envelops you. The hotel's design is deeply imbued with Zen aesthetics, with thoughtful touches like sutra-copying kits on the desk and mala beads provided during turndown service, all testifying to their exquisite hospitality. The semi-buffet dining experience was excellent, and the spa facilities were equally impressive.

I brought my mother to Hangzhou, and we chose to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. This hotel left a very deep impression on me and created many interesting memories. **Service:** Before arriving, I had considered canceling my Four Seasons reservation, partly because the previous hotel we stayed at was so incredibly comfortable. It had unbeatable views, excellent service, and was only a fifth of the price of the Four Seasons... Later, a Four Seasons staff member called me, rekindling my interest in the trip. Upon arrival, the Four Seasons' service certainly did not disappoint. The lobby supervisor knelt down to speak with us (as we were seated on a low sofa) and carried our luggage all the way to our room. During our stay, they helped us book a travel photoshoot and a reservation at Jin Sha restaurant, among other services. They also drove us around the Four Seasons garden in a lovely little red car, satisfying our curiosity as guests. In the evening, when we went out, a young man from the lobby even gave me mosquito repellent and reminded us to use it. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and always accommodated our requests. Every time we returned, the room was neat and tidy, thank you all very much! The only thing I was dissatisfied with was the 'teacher' of Song Dynasty culture. She was responsible for demonstrating tea brewing and calligraphy to guests. The hotel supervisor said this experience didn't require an appointment and was first-come, first-served. I arrived with my 70-year-old mother at 3:05 PM, and she shooed us away, saying she had an appointment at 3:30 PM... Huh? Wasn't it first-come, first-served? Why would she shoo guests away? After we insisted, she reluctantly agreed, then rushed through the demonstration in about 9 minutes. Her service attitude was a complete opposite to that of the hotel's other staff. **Ambiance:** The environment is exquisite and clean, a luxurious blend of American and Chinese styles. We were very interested in the hotel's architecture, for example, where did those massive wooden beams come from? How were they pieced together? Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any related information or explanations. **Facilities:** The use of solid marble and wood is impressive. Although built in 2010, the quality is still excellent. The rooms have smart toilets with heated seats, unlike the cold seats at the West Lake State Guest House. The bathtub is very comfortable with an integrated headrest, and dried chrysanthemum flowers are provided for bathing in the summer. The SPA facilities are very comprehensive, with a layout resembling an alchemy chamber from a cultivation novel. A small stream runs beneath thick stone slabs, with massage rooms on both sides. The heavy iron door leads to a private area complete with a toilet, shower, and hot spring pool, offering excellent privacy. The dim sum lunch at Jin Sha restaurant, the crispy chicken, and the West Lake sweet and sour fish were especially delicious! My mother particularly loved the sweet and sour fish and even finished all the sauce. Breakfast was decent but unremarkable. The space was too small, and the flow for getting food was very poorly designed. Everyone had to queue in the corridor to get dishes, which felt unrefined and lacked the grandeur expected of a luxury hotel. It didn't match the hotel's prestige, and I suggest improvements. Overall, we were satisfied. If 100 is a perfect score, we'd give it a 95.

We stayed for a total of four days. The setting was beautiful and the service was incredibly attentive. Since it was my birthday, in addition to decorating the room, they even proactively offered Yangchun noodles and a birthday cake! It was a truly delightful experience, and I will definitely choose the Four Seasons again the next time I visit Hangzhou! By the way, the scallion pancakes at Jinsha Mansion are incredibly delicious – I'm still craving them! T T

The hotel is perfectly situated right by West Lake, adjacent to the former Shangri-La. The ambiance is absolutely superb, making it an ideal summer retreat. The Western restaurant is elegant and comfortable, and their afternoon tea is incredibly generous – easily more than enough for two! In the evenings, there are live singer performances, which, paired with a glass of red wine, create a wonderfully cozy and delightful atmosphere. The fresh fruit and pastries provided in our room upon arrival were also a lovely touch. Special thanks to Manager Darren for his warm and thoughtful hospitality. This is definitely my top choice for business trips.

This is the newest five-star hotel near Xiling Bridge, and one of only two in the area with a pool (the other being Qiushui Villa). It's perfect for lotus viewing, and the pool is absolutely stunning – I loved it. The service was excellent. It's definitely worth experiencing. I really enjoyed the interior design; it's compact yet exquisitely refined. The room comes with a generous selection of complimentary beverages, which is a nice touch, but as I don't drink, I honestly would have preferred a slightly lower room rate. Both the afternoon tea and the Shenshi tea service were very pleasant. Overall, a truly relaxing hotel getaway.

1. Very quiet, and the villa area has controlled access, so no tourists bother you. 2. The room view is unbeatable, but I personally might not sleep well in a room with a sloped ceiling. The bedding was good, though. 3. All in-room amenities are excellent, and there are no extra charges. The dried plum and mango snacks were delicious! 4. Breakfast was highly rated. 5. Staff are friendly and helpful. 6. There were quite a few influencers around, but it didn't disturb my rest.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the Hangzhou Westlake area. Nestled in nature, the decor is natural yet elegant. The room is well equipped with all amenities. The staff are dedicated to ensuring you have a pleasant stay. The decor is a well balanced combination of old and new. There is a tea room and library as well as a lovely swimming pool.

My family and I visited Xixi Wetland during the National Day holiday and stayed in Room 19 of the 'Hushu Guest House.' The 60-square-meter room was spacious and airy, perfect for three people. The decor was a charming Chinese retro style, and the garden landscape was beautiful and serene. Overall, the stay was fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🏠 **Indoor Environment:** The room featured an entryway for shoes, a bathroom, a sitting area, a bedroom, and a private outdoor terrace. I loved being able to see the lake directly from the bed – very relaxing. A nighttime soak in the tub was wonderful, with a lovely view outside the window. 💁 **Service:** The butler and all staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. There was a dedicated shuttle service from the North Gate of the wetland. After check-in, the butler thoughtfully explained the hotel's garden design and surroundings, then guided us to our room and detailed its layout. We received complimentary welcome fruit and evening service, and the entire room smelled fragrant and fresh. We also participated in a craft class with an instructor, which was a great experience. 🍃 **Outdoor Environment:** The winding paths were secluded and picturesque. All guest room areas could be accessed via a single loop, so there was no getting lost, and along the way, we experienced various scenic views. The air was fresh, there was abundant greenery, and it was very quiet – even the elderly enjoyed it. 📪 **Minor Drawbacks:** Unfortunately, the complimentary photoshoot service we were offered fell through as the collaborating photographer bailed, so we didn't get to experience that. Also, we forgot to claim the complimentary drinks at the bar.
- Wulongaihecha
This hotel is a destination in itself, with stunning scenery at every turn, truly immersing you in nature. Despite its vast area, there are only 26 rooms, so you rarely encounter other guests, giving you the feeling of having the entire resort to yourself – a true paradise for introverts! Even more impressive than the views is the service. Every staff member I met was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful; their willingness to assist felt genuine, not just part of a job, reflecting a deep-seated company culture. Shuttles were readily available to take us to other dining spots within the resort, and they even helped us retrieve our food delivery orders. This hotel perfectly capped off our National Day road trip, and I've already recommended it to my friends. It's definitely worth experiencing if you haven't already.

The hotel is tucked away deep within Xixi Paradise, offering a tranquil environment. It has that distinctive Banyan Tree serenity, with private courtyards ensuring undisturbed privacy. Breakfast is decent – nothing extraordinary in terms of variety, but all the essentials are there. The Chinese restaurant is also quite good, though the main dining hall can be a bit chilly. Room cleanliness is excellent, though it would be even better if they could eliminate the occasional drain odor from the bathroom. Service is top-notch; they constantly check if everything is alright with your stay and deliver complimentary snacks and fruit daily! It's a great hotel, keep up the good work!

They say Banyan Tree Hangzhou is a 'Jiangnan dreamscape nestled in the wetlands,' and I believe what weaves this dream are precisely those elegant, uniformed front desk ambassadors. Their voices are as gentle as the wetland breeze; their smiles, as warm as the winter sun. Every action is perfectly executed, maintaining a professional distance while offering just the right amount of care. The room was also very clean and tidy upon arrival. The facilities were complete, and I was very satisfied with my overall stay at the hotel. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

The hotel room had hardwood floors, and the disposable slippers felt sticky and squeaked with every step. In weather that was barely above 10 degrees Celsius, and for a room costing thousands, there was no heating. The front desk responded that heating wasn't turned on in the entire hotel and claimed they couldn't do anything about it, tossing me two practically useless portable heaters. The bathroom couldn't even power these broken heaters due to voltage issues. Only after I called Trip.com to complain, did a manager suddenly apologize, and miraculously, the heating system was able to be turned on. I'm not even going to comment on that. They tried to smooth things over by giving me two slices of cake and an apology letter. It just goes to show, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and I'm grateful for Trip.com's proactive customer service. The price definitely doesn't match the service; it's miles worse than the Four Seasons Guangzhou. The hotel's signage was so bad it seemed like they were trying to hide the entrance. Even a local Hangzhou driver took ages to find it, and he couldn't help but wonder if this was really a legitimate five-star hotel. It was incredibly embarrassing. Aside from the bellhops who were obediently available 24/7 and the convenient location, I honestly don't know what makes this place a five-star hotel for that price.

The room was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Special thanks for the first-class and impressive service provided by Sami at the Club Lounge. As we wished to have dinner at the Chinese restaurant that was fully booked on that evening, Sami repeatedly checked with the restaurant and finally got a table for us. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff offered quality service to us. We also had a great time, enjoying the food during the afternoon tea and happy hour at the Lounge. However, the breakfast was average, service was good but the varieties and standard of the food was average. The dumplings were dry and chewy!

The hotel will have a dedicated person to greet the arrival of tourists. When you enter the hotel, they will help you carry your luggage and call a concierge car to take you to the downstairs of the house where you live. For our Qixi Festival trip to Hangzhou, Kevin contacted me in advance and even sent a fruit platter to our room. Throughout our two-day stay, the service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive to our every need. The hotel's cleanliness and overall ambiance were excellent, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The breakfast spread was quite generous. In the evenings, we could also enjoy a drink upstairs, where the night view was absolutely stunning.

The Neo-Chinese decor created a very comfortable ambiance. From the high floor, the city views were expansive and absolutely stunning. The complimentary welcome fruit was of good quality, seasonal, and delicious. The top-floor Chao Restaurant offered excellent views, and breakfast was also quite distinctive. However, the dinner set meal there was quite mediocre, frankly, hovering between unappetizing and just passable.

It was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could. The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright. All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door. Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today). Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.

The tatami room we stayed in was very good. It was located on the second floor with a good view and plenty of light. The logs used in the room had a light fragrance. Each room had an independent hot spring bath, and the room facilities were of high quality, with washlets, Dyson, and Marshall speakers. The hotel hired a famous designer to design it. From the courtyard to the hot spring bath, it was a typical Japanese style, very exquisite. The service was also very good, and any questions in the WeChat group were responded to immediately. The spa is worth a try, and a female masseuse named He was very good.

The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around, really close to the subway station. We were just a few stops away from West Lake and Wulin Night Market. The front desk staff were excellent – friendly, polite, and very professional at resolving any issues. One of the ladies at the front desk even recommended a fantastic restaurant right in front of the hotel, Xin Zhou Ji. The food was delicious, the ambiance great, and the service top-notch; we ended up eating there twice! Breakfast is served on the first floor, which is very handy, and the menu changes daily. Their noodles and wontons were particularly tasty, and there was a wide variety of options. The breakfast staff were also very courteous. The room itself was clean and comfortable. You can tell it's an older hotel, but the service definitely keeps up. Every time I visit Hangzhou, I stay here, so I sincerely have a suggestion: please switch the in-room water to additive-free options, whether expensive or cheap, it doesn't matter. If you're looking for a place that offers both urban convenience and stunning lake and mountain views, Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou is undoubtedly an excellent choice. The hotel's location is unparalleled, truly embodying 'lakeside splendor.' Right outside, you'll find Hangzhou's most renowned commercial district, with endless shopping and dining options, and a vibrant, brightly lit atmosphere after dark. However, what's even more captivating is that with just a short walk, the hustle and bustle are left behind, and you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of 'West Lake as beautiful as a painting.'

The hotel's location is great, very convenient yet quiet, perfect for families with kids. I had booked a room with two breakfasts, but the front desk initially told me it was only for one adult and one child, and I'd have to pay for an additional adult breakfast. After I firmly explained that ”two breakfasts” doesn't differentiate by age, the front desk then said, ”then we'll count it as two breakfasts.” This felt unfair; why did it become a concession when it was what I'd originally booked? I'd be fine paying for an extra children's meal, but the two breakfasts were part of the booking, not an extra gift from the hotel. Due to my firm stance, the front desk eventually offered a complimentary children's breakfast due to a ”communication issue.” Back in the room, despite it being a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of smoke. However, they quickly changed my room, and the hotel even called the next day to apologize. While the issues were resolved reasonably well, they could have been avoided entirely, and they did add some unnecessary stress to our trip. The food at Lakeside 28 was generally good, but the congealed hairtail dish felt like leftover braised hairtail to a local like me – it really doesn't need to be on the menu. Also, the seats near the air conditioning were very cold with strong drafts; even with a shawl, we were still freezing by the end of the meal. For a dinner costing over 1300+ for three people, the service was still a bit subpar.

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the facilities were excellent. Parking was also very convenient. The hotel's location is fantastic; I enjoyed stunning West Lake views during breakfast and could even access the lakeside directly with my room key card. The hotel also kindly offered a complimentary West Lake boat tour and a professional photo shoot. The 'Jinghong' photography service, exclusive to the hotel, was a great experience with a high success rate for beautiful photos.

East Railway Station Area Hangzhou|6.28km from city center
The hotel is right next to East Station, within walking distance. My friend and I arrived around midnight last night, and the front desk staff greeted us politely and proactively. Seeing how tired we were, he thoughtfully offered a free room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! Knowing we wouldn't have breakfast the next day, he even gave us a free breakfast voucher – an even more delightful surprise! 🙏🫶 The hotel's decor has a really high-quality feel throughout, from the lobby, hallways, and elevators to the rooms themselves, all are spacious and bright. Every staff member we encountered greeted us proactively. Even at past midnight, they were still enthusiastic and polite when giving us directions to our room. Simply fantastic! 👏👍😊 If I need a place to stay in Hangzhou again, this will be my top choice. Recommended rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was my first stay at an Atour hotel, and I'm so glad I booked it. After a long day of traveling, it was the perfect place to unwind and get some good rest. The hotel butler even contacted me in advance to ask about my preferences and sent up some fruit. First, the soundproofing: I found it to be very quiet. I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms or the hallway. It's next to a road, which is unavoidable, but they even provided earplugs. Next, the service: It was incredibly hot during my trip to Hangzhou, so I was sweating a lot and needed to wash my clothes daily. The laundry room had long queues every night, but the staff would help wash your clothes and deliver them to your door. They mentioned sometimes working until 2 or 3 AM, which shows how hard they work. Finally, the hygiene, facilities, and surroundings: The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, and the mattress and pillows are soft yet supportive. Within 1km, there's a Tianjie shopping mall with plenty of dining options, and you can also head to the riverside to cycle and enjoy the breeze.

I was incredibly satisfied with my stay at Xizi Art Hotel this time! The room design was very artistic, and the whole atmosphere was comfortable and quiet. As soon as I walked in, I felt completely relaxed. It's very close to Hangzhou East Railway Station, and getting to West Lake Culture Plaza was super convenient, making travel completely stress-free. The staff were very kind and even thoughtfully helped me replenish water and amenities in the evening, paying attention to all the small details. The bed was super comfortable, and the hot water for showering was consistently stable. Overall, the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hangzhou!

The elevator in the arranged room is particularly far away, but the room has fruit to send. The mattress and pillows in the room are also very comfortable to sleep. The cooperative laundry room pays attention to the washing machine cleaning. There are black fluffs on the quilt sheets, but it doesn't matter. I have cleanliness but not much. There are quite a lot of breakfast types. There are robots for takeaways that can be delivered to the room. In addition, it is recommended that some alcohol cotton pads and disposable toilet pads be placed in the hotel room.
