## Amanfayun Stay Review **Pros:** * Superb location, just a 5-minute walk to Lingyin Temple/Feilai Peak, boasting unique and precious scenic resources. * The rooms beautifully preserve the ancient village aesthetic, with wooden structures and Zen-inspired furnishings creating a serene atmosphere. The bedding comfort was also top-notch. **Cons:** 1. **Privacy Concerns:** The hotel's pathways are open to the public, leading to numerous non-guests passing through in the mornings and evenings. Views from outside the guest rooms are only partially screened by trees, which significantly undermines Aman's core promise of 'hidden luxury and privacy.' 2. **Outdated Facilities:** The room facilities are notably old. The showerhead couldn't regulate water temperature, forcing me to take a cold shower late at night. We had to contact the front desk the following day for maintenance. 3. **Lack of Proactive Service:** For butler service, guests need to proactively request contact information, and the response mechanism for basic needs felt passive. This is a significant deviation from the 'invisible' or 'seamless' service one expects from a luxury hotel. **Summary:** In conclusion, while the historical charm and location are definite highlights, the lapses in privacy protection, facility maintenance, and service details fall short of 'top-tier luxury' standards. I hope the brand can better understand and address the specific needs of its core clientele.

The room facilities definitely show their age, but the experience was wonderful. The butler service was very attentive and responsive to all our needs. The dining was excellent; both Lan Xuan and the steamed dishes restaurant, as well as breakfast, were superb. It's also very conveniently located close to the Lingyin Temple scenic area.

This hotel, boasting a private garden, is practically flawless except for the high humidity due to its proximity to West Lake. From the moment you step in, it feels like coming home. In your free time, you can wander through the meandering Jiangnan-style gardens, with a new picturesque view at every turn, leaving a lasting impression. The hotel's unique location offers excellent connectivity to nearby attractions, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. For guests who appreciate peace and quiet, it's an ideal retreat.

The Four Seasons Hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to many West Lake attractions. The service is exceptional; concierges, front desk, and restaurant staff are all incredibly friendly and polite, going above and beyond to meet guests' needs. Jin Sha restaurant lives up to its reputation, offering delicious food and attentive service.

The hotel is perfectly situated right by West Lake, adjacent to the former Shangri-La. The ambiance is absolutely superb, making it an ideal summer retreat. The Western restaurant is elegant and comfortable, and their afternoon tea is incredibly generous – easily more than enough for two! In the evenings, there are live singer performances, which, paired with a glass of red wine, create a wonderfully cozy and delightful atmosphere. The fresh fruit and pastries provided in our room upon arrival were also a lovely touch. Special thanks to Manager Darren for his warm and thoughtful hospitality. This is definitely my top choice for business trips.

This is the newest five-star hotel near Xiling Bridge, and one of only two in the area with a pool (the other being Qiushui Villa). It's perfect for lotus viewing, and the pool is absolutely stunning – I loved it. The service was excellent. It's definitely worth experiencing. I really enjoyed the interior design; it's compact yet exquisitely refined. The room comes with a generous selection of complimentary beverages, which is a nice touch, but as I don't drink, I honestly would have preferred a slightly lower room rate. Both the afternoon tea and the Shenshi tea service were very pleasant. Overall, a truly relaxing hotel getaway.

A very distinctive hotel. The environment is quiet, the rooms are large, and the decoration is Chinese style, which is very grand. I booked 2 rooms of the same price, but the room layouts are completely different. I asked the housekeeper, and the housekeeper said that each room type of Zixuan is different. The housekeeper service is very thoughtful, especially when checking in, the room introduction is very detailed. Dinner was eaten at the hotel's Jiexianglou (one Michelin star, two black pearl diamonds), which was fine except that it was expensive. The hotel's breakfast is very rich, with Chinese, Japanese, Western and other set meals to choose from, which are thoughtful and rich. We are a family traveler, and Zixuan's environment, food and thoughtful service make the elders and children very satisfied, so it must be highly praised!
- M30819****
Very satisfied, the surrounding environment is very good, very suitable for people who like nature, but not too natural, modern and natural traditions are well combined. The West Lake is a few minutes' walk away. The service is also very good, the room amenities are also very good, and all aspects are in line with the hotel of this price. Jiexianglou's dinner is delicious, and the hotel's breakfast is average. Personally, I think the only thing I am not satisfied with the room is the pure white bed curtains beside the bed, which feel a little creepy, just like another hotel. I don't know if this is the local tradition in Hangzhou. But this is a matter of opinion, and customs may be different in different places.

It was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could. The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright. All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door. Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today). Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.
- Anonymous User
The Japanese-style decor is quite sophisticated and photographically beautiful, but details could be improved. The air conditioning wasn't very effective. Even at 23 degrees Celsius, it was still too hot to sleep at night, and the noise was loud, disrupting my sleep. The hotel facilities were inadequate. The adults only had the hot springs, while the children only had a small play area. The sanitation was also very poor. This was the biggest complaint of my trip and was intolerable. The food was also subpar. I ordered both Chinese and Japanese set meals. The beef and chicken in the yakitori set were very tough and not worth the price. So, two days and one night were enough for this stay. The hotel service was good, with a butler to greet guests, prompt follow-up via the WeChat group, and free fruit and drinks in the hot spring area.

My family and I visited Xixi Wetland during the National Day holiday and stayed in Room 19 of the 'Hushu Guest House.' The 60-square-meter room was spacious and airy, perfect for three people. The decor was a charming Chinese retro style, and the garden landscape was beautiful and serene. Overall, the stay was fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🏠 **Indoor Environment:** The room featured an entryway for shoes, a bathroom, a sitting area, a bedroom, and a private outdoor terrace. I loved being able to see the lake directly from the bed – very relaxing. A nighttime soak in the tub was wonderful, with a lovely view outside the window. 💁 **Service:** The butler and all staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. There was a dedicated shuttle service from the North Gate of the wetland. After check-in, the butler thoughtfully explained the hotel's garden design and surroundings, then guided us to our room and detailed its layout. We received complimentary welcome fruit and evening service, and the entire room smelled fragrant and fresh. We also participated in a craft class with an instructor, which was a great experience. 🍃 **Outdoor Environment:** The winding paths were secluded and picturesque. All guest room areas could be accessed via a single loop, so there was no getting lost, and along the way, we experienced various scenic views. The air was fresh, there was abundant greenery, and it was very quiet – even the elderly enjoyed it. 📪 **Minor Drawbacks:** Unfortunately, the complimentary photoshoot service we were offered fell through as the collaborating photographer bailed, so we didn't get to experience that. Also, we forgot to claim the complimentary drinks at the bar.
- Wulongaihecha
This hotel is a destination in itself, with stunning scenery at every turn, truly immersing you in nature. Despite its vast area, there are only 26 rooms, so you rarely encounter other guests, giving you the feeling of having the entire resort to yourself – a true paradise for introverts! Even more impressive than the views is the service. Every staff member I met was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful; their willingness to assist felt genuine, not just part of a job, reflecting a deep-seated company culture. Shuttles were readily available to take us to other dining spots within the resort, and they even helped us retrieve our food delivery orders. This hotel perfectly capped off our National Day road trip, and I've already recommended it to my friends. It's definitely worth experiencing if you haven't already.

The family room came with a separate cot, children's books, and toys, making it perfect for families traveling with kids. The in-room dehumidifier worked very effectively. In the evening, turn-down service was provided, complete with complimentary lotus seeds, and all the drinks in the mini-bar were free. This modern, courtyard-style hotel boasts beautiful surroundings. It's conveniently situated right next to Quyuan Fenghe (Wind-enticed Lotus at Crooked Courtyard), offering a tranquil retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. We arrived early for check-in and decided to have lunch at the Chinese restaurant, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The breakfast buffet also offered a rich variety of options. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay.
- Guest User
The hotel's setting is fantastic; Quyuanfenghe is right on its doorstep, and it's currently the perfect season to see the lotus flowers. The hotel staff were incredibly polite, and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. They also thoughtfully provided each room with a complimentary travel photography session. The photographer's skills were excellent, and they beautifully captured stunning photos of everyone in our group. It was a truly wonderful and thoughtful gesture.

The hotel's location is excellent. Although it's not on a high floor, there are no other tall buildings nearby, offering a wide-open view. We booked a hotel package to celebrate our wedding anniversary and, based on Harry's suggestion at the front desk, upgraded to the Hangzhou Suite – a fantastic choice. From up there, you can see West Lake to your left and the Grand Canal to your right, with Wulin Square right beneath you, truly living up to the suite's name. We could also spot Leifeng Pagoda and Baochu Pagoda, and even glimpse Beifeng Mountain in the distance. The room amenities were complete, and all the supplies were excellent. Customer service was efficient. The desserts at the Executive Lounge were quite good, but the evening light meal was really disappointing, arguably the worst part of our stay. It wasn't just poor compared to the Tianjin Four Seasons; it was even 'simpler' than what you'd find at an average Hyatt or Marriott, much to the dismay of the waitstaff. The breakfast, however, was decent, with good pastries. The butter knife was conveniently placed with the cutlery, which was a nice touch. The doormen, front desk staff, and the female manager in the lobby all provided excellent, polite, and efficient service, even remembering guests' surnames. The service at the Executive Lounge was also good. While I was initially very satisfied with the breakfast restaurant's service, waiting ten minutes for a coffee and then having it made incorrectly just before leaving was a bit of a letdown. Overall, most aspects live up to the Four Seasons' reputation and price, but the Executive Lounge's dinner was simply too bad.
- sophie4
The room had a great view and was beautiful. They even let us check in early when we arrived ahead of schedule and gave us a late check-out the next day, which was a fantastic experience. The staff provided excellent service from the moment we arrived until we left, showing incredible attention to detail. During meals, they constantly checked in to see how we were enjoying the food, which was very thoughtful. I've already recommended it to my sisters, and I'd love to come back with them sometime!

Park Hyatt Hangzhou boasts a superb location, with The MixC mall directly downstairs and Raffles City also conveniently nearby. The rooms are spacious, bright, and efficiently designed, featuring a generously sized desk and a thoughtful layout. The breakfast is excellent, offering à la carte options. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would certainly choose Park Hyatt Hangzhou again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

Our service manager (WeChat: 鱼干) was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Although we did not enjoy our experience at the restaurant—the food was poor, and the service wasn't up to standard. After we gave her our feedback, she quickly responded to it. She also helped us arrange a shuttle to and from Xixi Wetland and personally delivered our tickets. We are very grateful for her help. Overall, we would recommend the hotel but advise avoiding the restaurant.

This hotel is conveniently located 900 meters from the West Lake Musical Fountain in Hangzhou, making it easy to access food, drinks, and entertainment. The hotel's decor is a bit dated. Even after upgrading to a family room, it wasn't very spacious. From the 16th floor, you can catch a partial view of West Lake. There's an underground parking lot, but you can't access your room directly from it. Breakfast is primarily Western, but it lacks some of the more upscale items, like steak, typically found in a five-star hotel.

The location is fantastic, right above Fengqi Road subway station, making it convenient to get anywhere. Wulin Night Market is also nearby. After a few days in Hangzhou, I searched online for a long time before finally choosing this older hotel! The front desk service was excellent. I even added the front desk attendant on WeChat so I could easily ask questions. The hotel isn't large, but it's centrally located. There's a lovely rooftop garden on the 18th floor with great views, offering a panoramic sight of West Lake. The room arrangement was also quite satisfactory; it's well-equipped, a bit old, but still fully functional. It had everything you could need: a smart toilet, sterilizer cabinet, umbrella, and charger. The Grand Hyatt's location is truly excellent, with West Lake right in front and Intime (department store) behind it. In the mornings, I enjoyed jogging along the lake, and in the evenings, I'd go to Zhi Wei Guan for dinner and stroll around to admire the West Lake night scenery—it was truly beautiful! I stayed in a lake-view room, and I could even see the hotel's pool from there. When the morning sun streamed onto the balcony and into my room, and I watched people jogging by West Lake, I felt life just slow down. The hotel's cleanliness and service were both great. For breakfast, the tofu pudding and Cantonese fish congee were the best, and the coffee was also very fragrant. The only minor downside was the lack of cooked shrimp or fish, and fewer 'hard' dishes (main courses) at breakfast.

Facilities: I was a bit worried when booking, as the pictures looked a bit old, but upon checking in, I realized it wasn't the case at all. The facilities are new and clean, and most importantly, very advanced, including smart heated toilets, automatic hand soap dispensers, and a Laifen hair dryer. There's no hint of a 90s feel. Environment: Located at the earliest prime spot on West Lake, the location goes without saying. Just swipe your card out the back door and you're right by the lake. Service: It's no exaggeration to say this is the best hotel service I've experienced in China. The staff proactively greet guests and offer assistance, and their attitude is very pleasant. Value for money: Excellent. They even provided complimentary tickets for a double boat tour on their own hotel boat, a free trip around West Lake.

This was my first stay at an Atour hotel, and I'm so glad I booked it. After a long day of traveling, it was the perfect place to unwind and get some good rest. The hotel butler even contacted me in advance to ask about my preferences and sent up some fruit. First, the soundproofing: I found it to be very quiet. I didn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms or the hallway. It's next to a road, which is unavoidable, but they even provided earplugs. Next, the service: It was incredibly hot during my trip to Hangzhou, so I was sweating a lot and needed to wash my clothes daily. The laundry room had long queues every night, but the staff would help wash your clothes and deliver them to your door. They mentioned sometimes working until 2 or 3 AM, which shows how hard they work. Finally, the hygiene, facilities, and surroundings: The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, and the mattress and pillows are soft yet supportive. Within 1km, there's a Tianjie shopping mall with plenty of dining options, and you can also head to the riverside to cycle and enjoy the breeze.

The apartment exceeded my expectations; I really loved it. The window view was beautiful, and the furnishings inside were very comfortable. I appreciated the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom and the full-length mirror. The service was also excellent and thoughtful, with many little extras provided, even facial cleanser and setting spray. They even gave us two bottles of water at checkout. The price was reasonable too. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

The elevator in the arranged room is particularly far away, but the room has fruit to send. The mattress and pillows in the room are also very comfortable to sleep. The cooperative laundry room pays attention to the washing machine cleaning. There are black fluffs on the quilt sheets, but it doesn't matter. I have cleanliness but not much. There are quite a lot of breakfast types. There are robots for takeaways that can be delivered to the room. In addition, it is recommended that some alcohol cotton pads and disposable toilet pads be placed in the hotel room.
