Stayed with my family for a day and they gave me a free upgrade to the room with sea view. Friendly staff, and they got a clean swimming pool in which we enjoyed a great evening. They do have enough parking space as well. Food taste need to improve.

The place itself is nice. They tried to provide excellent service until we got Food Poisoning. The night staff was helpful and they got the doctor (Dr. Vikram Shetty) to come in the middle of the night, and he is amazing. He saw us the next day at the hospital to run tests and IV and called us many times to ensure our safety. In the morning the GM was very bad. He totally denied their responsibility, even though we only ate and drank at the hotel and pinpointed a specific drink, after which the nightmare started. So, with a high fever, after a sleepless night in the bathroom, definitely wanted to be treated differently. Other than that, the hotel and service by regular staff was great. If you are concerned about the noise, don't stay on the riverside, despite the wonderful views, including crocodiles and birds due to noise from kitchen fan, especially at night. If you are used to different noises, then enjoy the view.

The entire staff of The AURUM is unbelievable. Me and my wife are so humbled by their hospitality. Always ready to serve your needs, whatever it may be. What is so more surprising, was The Aurum MD, Mr. Srivatsya, spend the entire evening with us. Taking us to a nearby river(hotel ground), sat with us, had TEA with us and was so down to earth in entertaining us.
The staff even gave a surprise birthday party for me and my wife, Very humbled and touch with their gesture.(photo attached)
The entire staff were so down to earth in serving us. It's MD is a role model for it's staff. We have travel all over India, these experience is extraordinary. Thank you ”THE AURUM”

This is our third stay at Goldfinch in 3 months. The rooms have usually been quite clean but this time the bathroom had mould on the ceiling. My sister developed an allergic reaction and sneezed all night developing a cough by the next day.
This kind of mould in the environment is very hazardous to people especially children, the elderly or those who have a weak immune system. The establishment should ensure air-conditioning units are cleaned and serviced regularly and rooms inspected for mould on a regular basis.

The location and in-room dining service of Goldfinch is very good. However, I didn't feel I got value for the money I paid. There was no Free WiFi and the cost of paid WiFi was quite ridiculous. Amenities like drinking water and even toilet paper were not restocked and had to be asked for. I wouldn't stay here again, especially since I can get these basic amenities without asking at cheaper hotels nearby.

Place is good but there are some shortcomings. We booked a Executive room but the TV channels didn't work unless you called the front desk. Breakfast supposed to be a buffet didn't find anything at the counters. Had to order everything (we went within the prescribed time slot). Maybe an approach to reduce waste which I concur but not for every item. You might as well have a make to order set up tather than a buffet for breakfast, Location wise perfect, hosts friendly (Mangaloreans are gentle people and love to host).

The hotel location is very good, near to Pabbas Ice cream and main market. Rooms are very neat and clean and will auto or cab very easily.
The only issue is there food for lunch and dinner is not upto mark and they start breakfast around 8AM, whereas it's mentioned 7:30AM in the hotel details, if you have to leave early, you will miss the breakfast.

we had an amazing stay at the hotel. The room and the washroom are neat and clean. Morning breakfast was complimentary in our booking. We had wide variety of options and almost all are tasty and healthy. We had a complimentary good steam bath. The property is in main city easy access to many famous temples and beaches. worth the penny. on the whole we had a comfortable stay with kids and elders

Our stay here was truly pleasant. The location is excellent—very close to Dharmasthala, making it perfect for temple visits. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful. The food was simple and tasty. A special mention to the lady at the restaurant who took great care of all the guests—her warmth and attention made us feel right at home. The service was excellent, and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Only disadvantage is the Check out policy which is at 11 and they were ready to extend till 12. It should be atleast till 1 or 2 since the temple darshan timings cannot be predicted.

The hotel is very well located, away from tge hustle of the city, but not far from the city. It's 3. 5km from the bus stand. The staffs are very courteous. I liked the food as well. Although, i tried the veg food only. The rooms are good size for a family of two adults and a child. Remember it's a hotel in a small town, so don't expect 5 star facility.
