The front desk and the cleaning aunt were very polite, but they seemed to lack some professionalism. The facilities that the hotel could provide were not clearly stated. Every time they needed to go to the front desk to ask. The room is large, but there are beds, wardrobes, TVs and TV cabinets, tables and chairs. It feels suitable to sleep overnight, but if it is a travel room, it is a little inconvenient, and it is not convenient to want to heat things. There is no hot water bottle. The decoration is still possible, and the bathroom has unlimited hot water. The front desk did not take the initiative to remind us of the breakfast time and place, resulting in us staying for four days without breakfast. Maybe I am used to the hotel taking the initiative to remind guests of the meal. This time, no one told us, resulting in us looking at the bill to find that our consumption included breakfast. All in all, it is a renovation, hotel location, and basic overnight environment All good hotels, but still a lot of shortcomings worth improving.

The hotel is in an excellent location, with restaurants, shopping areas, and historical attractions all within just a few minutes’ walk. The Premium Acropolis View & Balcony room is truly worth it. The service is outstanding — we were welcomed with champagne and desserts upon arrival, which made us feel very special. From the breakfast restaurant, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Acropolis of Athens, making the dining experience even more memorable. The fresh orange juice felt unlimited, and the staff were warm and attentive — frequently refilling water and juice. There was also a wide variety of coffee options available. The only downside was that the selection of hot breakfast items was somewhat limited. It would be wonderful if the hotel could add a live cooking or made-to-order station to further enhance the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Athens, Greece — you will definitely not be disappointed.

The location was excellent, could walk easily to Acropolis in less than 5 mins. The hotel room was really clean and decent sized but felt that there could be a bit more hooks to hang face towel and clothings for bathing. The design of the city view room tried to consolidate some common area at the entrance and bathroom, making it a little odd. No rooftop restaurants or swimming pool, was caught by surprise when the staff told me in an oddly upset way that it’ll be closed permanently for 1.5 years (not sure what that meant).

Rooms are clean  Executive lounge is nice but can be improved at  varieties of snacks and free drinks We paid for Acropolis view room but no room sees the Acropolis actually; this was very disappointing when we paid more for this. If you go to the edge of balcony and lean it is possible to see a piece of it (another building  İs the obstacle between the view and rooms shouldn’t sold with this statement at all) Rooftop restaurant and pool have a perfect view but pool is very small and couldn’t even find a sunbed to rest; was too busy and hot. Location is very central but Athens has a big issue of security at some streets and it was not nice to feel unsafe.

Absolutely fantastic! The breakfast was amazing, especially the super sweet fruit – the kiwi and mango were already peeled, which was a nice touch. The desserts were delicious too. The bathroom counter was huge, perfect for women. My room had a small desk right by the window, from which I could watch the changing of the guard at Syntagma Square. I stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed sitting there and reading. Being so close to Syntagma Square, the X95 airport bus stop is just a 2-3 minute walk away, about 200 meters. The path is flat with no inclines or declines, making it easy to manage with luggage. All the major attractions are within walking distance. Across the street is the National Garden, and there's a metro station nearby – incredibly convenient! The rooftop cafe and balcony offer stunning views of the Acropolis, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Parliament building. I even spent New Year's Eve on the rooftop watching the fireworks. I highly recommend this hotel!

The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were impeccable, featuring a bathtub, disposable slippers, and olive oil body lotion. The location is also great, just one metro stop from Syntagma Square. The best part, however, is the breakfast view – you can enjoy your meal with a stunning panoramic view of the Acropolis. The view is absolutely superb! I would definitely choose the Athens Gate Hotel again on my next trip to Athens.

The hotel was generally clean, and the location was convenient. However, I was disappointed with the way my room request was handled. During the reservation process, there was a section for special requests. I specifically requested a room on one of the upper floors. Despite this, I was assigned a room on the 1st floor, even though the hotel has 19 floors. It seemed that my request had been completely ignored. I politely asked if it would be possible to move to a higher floor. Instead of offering any flexibility, I was told that I would need to pay an additional €50 or upgrade my booking. Considering that my entire stay cost only around €100, asking for an extra 50% of the room price just to move to a higher floor felt excessive and unreasonable. If requests for higher-floor rooms are only available for an additional fee, this should be clearly stated during the booking process. Otherwise, the “special requests” section creates expectations that are not actually honored. Overall, the hotel itself was decent, but this experience with customer service left a negative impression. I hope the hotel will handle guest requests more fairly in the future.

A charming little boutique hotel with character The hotel is not new or flashy, but it's very well maintained and clearly cared for. It's tucked away on a quiet side street in Plaka, yet it's easy to find and wonderfully located — just a short walk to Syntagma and all the main sights. The rooms are pretty petite，(especially the lift)but tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Everything feels thoughtful and welcoming. The breakfast is truly the highlight. It's not a huge spread, but everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care especially the Greek breakfast. For the price point, it's a standout. If you're looking for a place with charm in a fantastic location — this is a lovely choice.

The hotel is located near the Athens Meat Market, within walking distance of Psiri and only a few minutes from Monastiraki Square. While not in the very center, the location provides convenient access to lively districts and cultural attractions. Before my stay, I had read reviews mentioning safety concerns in the area, and I was initially cautious. However, during my visit I found the neighborhood to be generally fine. As with any city, it is important to remain attentive when traveling with family, but nothing occurred that would cause alarm. The streets leading to the hotel are quieter, as fewer people cross through this district. For shopping, however, the hotel is less convenient, as it requires longer walks to reach the main retail area (Ermou street). The staff was kind overall, though breakfast with a toddler was somewhat challenging. Most of the team were not particularly accommodating, with the exception of one outstanding staff member—a highly professional English-speaking woman who appeared to lead the team. She was exceptionally helpful and made a significant positive difference to our experience.Although the hotel lacks balconies, our room offered a spectacular view of the Acropolis, which was a highlight of our stay.

Located in the heart of Athens between Akropolis and Syntagma Square it is in a perfect location to cultural explore, go for shopping as well as arrange business meetings. Many restaurants and coffee places, all in walking distance. Main reason to choose Elia Ermou was the room size as it is 20+ sqm, and it has a parking garage in the same building. Further to mention is the nice roof top restaurant in the 7th floor with terrace and Akropolis view. One minor issue to mention is if a little more silence is required a room on the higher floors and not on the Ermou side might be the better choice… Overall verdict, being a globally experienced traveler, 5 stars !
