Not only is the hotel gorgeous and most rooms have balconies with amazing views, but the hospitality and attention to detail is unmatched. I book with Julita all the time for staycations and for rooms for my parents to stay when they visit me. We just re-booked for Thanksgiving :) My family and I are repeat visitors and we have tried William vale and Hoxton in the past but this is where feels like home away from home. Ask for Julita to help you with your reservation and any special requests. Bar is always a great vibe and the water tower is a must see! Thank you Julita for always giving myself and family a warm welcome back ❤️

Came to this restaurant with you my friends to have brunch and we were greeted by very nice restaurants staff, by Genty. He has always been very courteous and respectful and made the experience of dining in here at the restaurant very pleasant. I'd recommend others to dine in here as well and it will have a good time.

Michael and Tony go way above and beyond. They were out pulling cabs in in the middle of traffic. As a single woman traveling alone they were like my guardian angels. They remembered my name. Helped me with restaurants and guides where to go and people watch. The thing I most noticed was how hard they worked without looking for a tip.

Over the last 5 weeks I have stayed here 3 times for work. Close to some great food, easy to get to Manhattan, rooms was very nice. Desk staff was good and funny. The only odd thing that happen was on my last stay, I arrived at 1130pm and went to the room and my card work but there was a naked male in my room. They switched me to another room. They didn't know who he was.

When I checked in, the hotel front desk said my credit card couldn't be used! Later I found out that there was a problem with the hotel check-in system! I had to wait for a full hour and a half. When I entered the room, I found chocolate on the floor that had not been cleaned up. The rooms provided are also corner irregular rooms. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I called the hotel to complain. Someone from the hotel inspected the floor of the room and upgraded me to another room. Ctrip conducted customer interviews, learned about the situation and communicated with the hotel, and finally Ctrip provided a service plan! Thank you to Ctrip staff for their responsible spirit! The hotel is nice and the restaurant service is good! The quality of management staff's work and customer service quality need to be improved (to be worthy of the hotel brand's image among customers).

Very expensive, very dimly lit, very posh. Small rooms, yet great bathroom and bed. The Club very much worth it, with great staff and versatile fare, both food and drinks. Yet at 1800 dollars a night everything should be fabolous, right? I was very impressed by it all and that's why I went: the experience what this hotel can offer. Yet, I doubt I would go again, simply because I was not made feel special in any other part or aspect than the club and that you can replicate with plenty of other establishments.

Amazing hotel with great views of Central Park. Our room was spectacular. As a Titanium Elite Member we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom Park Avenue Suite. It was absolutely stunning. The bed was comfortable and so was the living room area. So happy we decided to stay here! I was a little dissappointed as I called/emailed months ahead of time to see if there was anything that they could do complimentary for my husbands 50th birthday (cake, fruit, anything...etc...) and was told they would do something, but they didn't.

Spent 4 nights here on a business trip Fall 2022. Would not stay again. The location is excellent, being right on the Park and walking distance to much of midtown. The lobby lounge is nice and a good place to meet people for a drink. This is where my positive views end. The hotel looks dated and my room was small and had no views at all. The price was outrageous for the quality of the product delivered. The Ritz used to have a premium brand name and I find ever since Marriott bought them, the brand overall has been degraded. This hotel in particular has a terrible price to value proposition. I am sure you and I can do better elsewhere.

The hotel is in a good location, close to Central Park, both the Metropolitan Museum and the Natural Museum on foot. At the same time, you can walk to Broadway to listen to musicals. There are many shops and restaurants around the hotel, which is convenient for travel.

The room is small and it is inconvenient to face the building. Considering New York, it is no problem.

Reviews From Real Travelers
This is my third review of The Carlyle over the years (across probably 25 stays), and, sadly, the first one where I didn't feel I could give the hotel five stars. Although this is specifically about a stay in November 2022, it relates more generally to the renovated rooms at The Carlyle -- and here, the 11/22 stay was our third in a renovated room. Two were in Superior Suites, and one was in a Rosewood Suite. First, the good: The service continues to terrific, and greetings from the staff are genuine and caring. Across the board, when I raised an issue, someone tried to make things better. Housekeeping did not miss a beat. The bedding and linens are top notch. I found the beds in all three rooms terrific. And, the renovations fixed what had been a tendency for the HVAC to be spotty, depending on the room. The renovated systems worked flawlessly. And, the rooms are quiet -- no street noise or noise from adjoining rooms. In the Superior Suites, the bathrooms are small. In one of the two we stayed in, we had a half bath, which made things a bit better. But, if you want a big bathroom, then look elsewhere. I find the baths adequate, and the showers delightful (as they have been across 30 years). Now, the not so good: The lighting the renovated rooms is atrocious. In the living rooms of all three suites, there wasn't enough light to read in the evening, other than in the one chair that they equipped with a reading light. The desk lamp -- while stylish -- gives off about the equivalent of a 40 watt light bulb. Who does that? There are wall mounted sconces -- with the equivalent of 15 watt bulbs in them. One room had a ceiling unit that had 3 bulbs with the equivalent of 40 watt bulbs. Why? The traditional Carlyle had great lighting -- three way bulbs with up to 150 watts in total in each of 3 or 4 lamps in the room. In this version, I feel depressed in the rooms in the evening. And then there's the bedroom. While there are lamps on the end tables next to the bed, they are on one switch. Either both are on, or neither. Why? Why not have them separately switched? There's a spot-like reading light on each side of the bed -- but that's a poor substitute from the warmth of the bedside table light. Why would anyone design a hotel room this way? I suppose if all one does in a hotel room is look at one's phone or computer, or watch TV, the lighting will suffice. But if you want to read? Forget it. And then you get to storage. In each of the three suites there was no storage at all for your things (I've seen reviews that show some rooms having dressers). Each of the living room and bedroom had shelving, but the room designers filled the shelves with design stuff that serves no purpose, leaving those unavailable to the guest. Even the closets lack usable shelving, other than a high shelf above the hanging clothes. The old Carlyle rooms had vast amounts of storage space in large dressers. It's almost as if the room design

On the prestigious corner of Madison Avenue and 76th Street, just off Central Park, sits the Carlyle Hotel. It is surrounded by galleries and designer boutiques and is just blocks from MOMA, the Guggenheim, the Frick and is within easy distance of the Museum Mile. I applauded my Deluxe King accommodations with city view, nearly 400 sq. ft. of space, beautiful desk peering out the window and dual geometrically pattered rugs. A white/dark beige palette adorned the area, with a foyer, funky pictures, wave bed tables and modern furniture. The marble bathroom featured underfloor heating and spacious rain shower. The Carlyle is rich in eating, drinking and entertainment facilities. The Dowling is the principle restaurant serving up dishes that range from Steak Diane to Lobster Bisque to Veal Ossa Bucco and more. I fell for Octopus Carpaccio and Dover sole ...a savoury medley from the sea. Bemelmans Bar is one of the greatest old school cocktail spots in NYC. I took in Ludwig Bemelman's (the creator of the classic Madeline children's books) whimsical murals on the wall, savoured a signature martini from the bar and listened to the incredible nightly piano talent. The Cafe Carlyle is a Cabaret-styled Supper Club, sporting entertainment luminaries and a minimalist menu borrowed from the Dowling. The Carlyle has notable amenities in the form of the Valmont Spa: a luxe wellness centre allowing guests to experience a bevy of treatment options, a Fitness Center, amply outfitted, allowing me to follow my exercise regime while traveling, and Afternoon tea is offered in the Gallery. So, if you are looking for a legendary, nostalgic and special hotel on the Upper East Side .......then try the ...........Carlyle .................A Classic Hotel.

Loews has very comfortable and clean rooms and a friendly and welcoming staff like no other in New York City. The hotel truly offers a home-away-from home experience with very friendly service throughout the hotel. The Regency Bar & Grill offers excellent food in a light and enjoyable setting with fantastic service. The gym is nicely equipped and a good size, with location near Central Park a plus. I return as often as I can when in the city. Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar which operates adjacent to the hotel is great venue for coffee, and wonderfully crafted snacks, breakfast fare and pastries.

From the moment the doorman helps you until you depart your experience will be positive. The bell service, front desk staff, concierges are the best!!! It enhances my experience in NYC as staying at the Loews Regency allows me to feel safe and comfortable. The rooms are nice in size location is ideal. Enjoy!

The hotel is very close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a walk takes place. The rooms are small but beautifully furnished. Two bottles of Evian mineral water are delivered every day. The first day has fruit bowls. Many people in the lobby elevators wear clothes to highlight New York fashion. It was unfortunate that I met an Oolong front desk man and gave me two pre-authorizations. I had to pay a hundred for the prepayment of the house. He brushed a hundred and then brushed for 590 dollars. I didn't point out that he didn't explain this to me. When I showed the text message of payment, he went to the office and said something to another person. Then the person came out and checked that they didn't collect more money, everything was OK, then I asked. What should I do with this money? The man said that he will be able to return it to me. This is a mistake. This is of course a mistake. The lady who came to check did not apologize and said that there was no problem. I am very dissatisfied with this. I didn’t receive more than five hundred dollars in the morning, but I returned a hundred dollars. It was too much. I checked this matter with them when I checked out. They said that they didn’t collect more money. The pre-authorization will be after I left. I gave it back in a few days. They did not collect the money but brushed up the pre-authorization, and did not release the pre-authorization when I left. It was almost a month before I received the automatic cancellation. The rooms in the hotel are very good and good value for money, but for the work at the front desk, remind the Chinese compatriots to pay attention!

Walking to Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum is very close, the surrounding environment is typical of the Upper East Side, and it is not convenient to buy food outside. The room is extra large and the bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom is large, the shower water is like a waterfall, the water is huge and soft, and the bathroom products have their own brand and feel high-end. Evian water and chocolate are delivered every day, and the service is warm and thoughtful. Very satisfied. The downside is that the lobby bar is small and the price of the hotel is very expensive.

This is a world class property in every respect. Beautiful rooms, delicious food and a team of staff members that were so kind, helpful and professional that it is hard to fully describe how exceptional they were. In many ways, my two-night stay at the Hyatt was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had, including many five-star, silly expensive properties in Western Europe.

How much check in was done by Feruza with a little help of what seems to be her superior. Though it took a while before somebody came to collect our luggage checkin procedure was really welcoming. Cold towels, welcome drinks, while getting the administration soughted out. After we settled in the room, we went to the lounge, given access to due to the fact that we reserved a suite (room 1405). Sharif (or charif?) was there to welcome us and made sure our needs were met. Breakfast is a feast. Suite was spacious and comfortable. We had dinner in Ember located on the 17th floor of the hotel serving great Japanese food. See our separate review for our findings over there. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that they do not have a souvenir shop so that you can buy a quick present for your loved ones. This venue just opened last March and is great to see how much effort staff is putting in to give you a wonderful state.

You stay here for the experience not the quality of the hotel! This place is kitsch and a wonderful relic of the cold War! Stayed here twice as part of a group tour and was charmed by the haphazard nature of the place! Reception is a vast space with plenty of seating and a bar at one end. You can get cold beer here that you can take away to your room. Both rooms we had were large with twin beds at one end and a loungue type area at the other. The major bonus was we had a balcony each time; great views from the higher floors and a good place to hang out some washing! The first room the balcony was accessible from two doors, the second room had one door blocked with a chest of drawers and the handle removed! Bathrooms are a bit dated and you sometimes have to wait for hot water! Not all rooms have balconies so you might need to request. The money exchange was really useful, although they wouldn't change local currency back again. The rooftop bar is actually the top floor as opposed to on the roof but the windows open in and you get great city views. Breakfast buffet is excellent, especially the omlette chef! Location of the hotel is also strong, metro just to right of entrance and lots of attractions, bars and restaurants in walking distance. A couple of reviews say Reception staff don't speak great English - you can get round this with Google translate so not a big deal. We also had two people on our two given each others passports - the onus is definitely on you to check! If you don't mind quirky this hotel is for you!

We stayed here 3 separate times in 15 days. The staff throughout were helpful, personable, and always had a smile. There was an exchange machine (Som to dollars and vice versa), and an ATM. The location was good for us; close to the market, shops and several restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel was very good but a bit expensive. As others have said, breakfast was second to none! There was everything you could wish for, including freshly cooked eggs. All in all, we enjoyed our stays here very much.

Tashkent|7.59km from city center
I was in Tashkent in October 2022. I chose this hotel because the rooms have quite a large area and the price is not very high. At that time there were almost no other cheaper options, and all of them had very small rooms. Initially booked the hotel for 3 days to understand whether it would suit me, but planned to live 1-2 week in Tashkent, and then fly to Dubai. As a result, the hotel did not arrange me, and therefore did not extend it. The main reason is very bad Wi-Fi. It is quite unstable, constantly disabled. Speed changes greatly during the day. Late night and night work fast (probably at this time few users) and the rest is very slow. I had to broadcast the daytime, so for me it was critical. Mobile Internet (try Ucell and Bilaine) didn't help, speed and stability too are insufficient. The second minus is the location. The hotel is far from the city center. So go to the center for quite a long and far (but cheap - Yandex taxi in Tashkent is cheap). And many deliveries of food refuse to deliver to the area. The room is spacious. In general, the hotel is beautiful. Furniture in the room is erased, but it is not critical to me. On sound isolation - in the room I have never heard neighbors. Sometimes airplanes are heard because there is an airport nearby, but it didn't bother me. And sometimes you hear muezin, but too quite quiet. The room is blackout curtains, so if you close the curtains, the room is dark, sleep well. Small minus - very small safe. It has a huge hardness to enter even the iPad (you have to insert it under the corner and put it in a tilted position on the wall). The last day the hotel turned off the light for a few minutes. The air conditioner is periodically broken (2 times in 3 days), it needs to be re-enabled in the shield. In October the room is quite cold, but if the air conditioner is put on heating, it turns out normal. On breakfast there are many different dishes, everything is delicious. Especially liked the puffed pancakes. Maintenance and cleaning everything is good. Cleaning 1 times a day. On the last day I picked up another hotel, but saw that there was a cheap direct ticket to Dubai, and flew there :) Plus: - spacious rooms - quite quiet - price - good breakfasts Minus: - very bad Wi-Fi, not suitable for work - location - Far from the center, there are not many deliveries - a small safe of Over: The hotel is not bad, but next time I will look for in the center and with a better Wi-Fi.

This was our first visit to Uzbekistan with an open mind on what we would end up doing in Tashkent. We took the safer bet by starting our country tour with the Marriott brand we know well. We were not disappointed! This is a well-run, spacious, clean hotel and was an ideal choice to begin with. Predictably, the décor is totally “Marriott!”, so lacks a Central Asian feel to it, but that is as the brand dictates. In the kitchen they make up for that with an excellent range of menu items that spans great local Uzbeki dishes and high-quality international cuisine. There is clearly a lot of pride in the kitchen shown by the attention given to good presentation. The breakfast buffet is good too. It would be good if the hotel made more effort to promote Uzbek wines at the Lobby Bar, rather than focus on the more expensive international ones. In the restaurant, there is only a limited choice of local wine compared to other places and no wine at all in the 8th Floor bar. These are all minor quibbles though. It is the attitude of the staff that makes this hotel work best. Everyone is keen to give a good professional impression in each of their roles. The reception and restaurant staff were without exception universally polite, efficient and friendly. We were ever so thankful to Shuhrat at the front desk who got us well-organised from the start with a local SIM card, dealing with money and making helpful suggestions on how to tackle Tashkent and then organise the rest of our stay not only in Tashkent buy beyond. He is soft-spoken and gracious and a good listener. He could read our preferences quickly. On our return, it was Shuhrat who organised a very good driver/guide to visit the mountains and encouraged us to take a dip to go to the beach on Lake Charvak and enjoy a dip there. A big thank you to everyone at the Tashkent Courtyard for helping to make this one of the best exploratory vacations we ever had.

The location is good, choose a brand chain hotel, the breakfast is rich, and there is music accompaniment! Among so many five-star hotels, the first time there is live music accompaniment is on Monday! It wasn't a weekend or a holiday, so the photo was only taken for three seconds. It was too short and was not allowed to be uploaded. It's a pity.

I stayed for a little over a week and was very happy with the experience. The nicest, most helpful staff ever. Everyone speaks Uzbek, Russian, English. Great breakfast, with a variety of fruits and berries, local sweets, as well as salads, fresh local dairy, eggs and a selection of meats and cheeses. Quick laundry service. The clothes were brought back clean within hours when turned in by 11 am. The hotel is located next to Amir Temur Square and a Bazaar, as well as within the walking distance from The Great Prince Romanov Palace. A block away from the hotel is a very nice coffee shop called Beans and Brews. Great food, great coffee. There's also a KFC right next door. One little wrinkle is that when you order a cab via local app Yandex Taxi, the drivers don't always know they should come to the hotel entrance; they tend to stop at a KFC or across the street. It's useful to message them separately about where you need to be picked up.

Many hotels in Tashkent are relatively small, equivalent to domestic hotels. Because there are many people living in the United States in China, I also chose Mercure in Tashkent. Unlike domestic Mercure, which is operated by Huazhu, Mercure Tashkent is independently operated by AccorHotels, and many standards are different from those in China. But let’s talk. The internal environment of this hotel is very good, the price/performance ratio is very high, the breakfast is very rich (compared to other hotels, incomparable to domestic ones), and the waiters are also very enthusiastic. In short, it is worth choosing to go to Tashkent. Attached are a few photos taken in the breakfast room, originally for colleagues to compare and just for evaluation.

I was surprised that, with the full hostel, it was quiet and quiet, no one interrupted and there were no queues in the toilet. It was interesting to meet foreigners :)) When I visit Tashkent next, I will definitely stop in Topchan!!!
