"With a magnificent location, looking out over the harbour and the River Dart, right in the heart of Dartmouth, this 17th-century building offers bright, airy rooms, free Wi-Fi and a stylish restaurant. Privately owned, the award-winning Royal Castle Hotel has a great location, in the centre of the pretty town of Dartmouth, with its cobbled streets, intriguing shops and world-famous restaurants and bars. Rooms are en suite, and all of them are unique and individually decorated. Many of the rooms have river views, four-poster beds and spa baths. Every room has a TV, radio and tea/coffee making facilities. With wonderful views out over the river, The Grill Room is the hotel’s stylish and relaxed restaurant. The restaurant offers delicious food made from the best, freshest produce available locally. The hotel also has 2 bars: the contemporary Harbour bar and the more traditional Galleon bar. Both bars have real open log fires burning in the winter."

Generally the room was nice but astonishingly both towels were stained and dirty. Other than that the room was clean and nice.

The facilities are generally old, and the shower has been declining. The overall experience is mediocre, and it may be due to high expectations. It may be because it was booked on a weekend, and the room price is 1.7 times the usual price.

View is what sold it here other than that for a 5star hotel it's more like a 3star pushing onto a 4 star the whole inside / reception & hallways really needs renovating they have holes in the carpets and some graffiti on the walls , the room I booked (Thames premier deluxe room) had an amazing view which is what made the room worth the money but interior was outdated also there was just holes in the ceiling / walls & the woodwork needed to be replaced even had a burn hole in the mattress this 5star hotel should be a 4star at maximum won't be visiting again until its been renovated

Their concierge Desk lost one of my baggage until I said will call to the police report that then they found the bag for me within 30 mins. Housekeeping ring the bell at 0200 midnight by mistakes. Restaurant staff asks me for the room key when I try to dine in and I ask her your restaurant only serve in house guests then she shut up right away. Whenever I back to the hotel their security will ask for the room key to identify my status is a hotel guest or not but in a very rude manner. Overall those bad experience and I can tell if you are Chinese don't book at this hotel since most of the staff is racism a lot even those it's a 5 stars worldwide hotel chain

There is a subway station in 7 minutes, and there are restaurants nearby. Hotel Sui Jie is cheaper than central London. Breakfast is abundant, so you must choose!

1 min from picadilly line park royal station. Room is super clean and big , however without a proper desk. Decent breakfast. I called front desk and they do provide tooth brush and paste. I came here for the 55inch Samsung TV as it's hard to find a hotel room with big tv. Ultimate tv watching experience. I brought my own tv stick as the smart tv don't have Netflix on it .

This hotel gives me a better feeling. Conveniently located on a hillside, trains and tracks can be seen in front of the hotel. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, the rooms are clean and tidy, the bathrooms are large, and the bathrooms are comfortable. The hotel’s breakfast is particularly rich, varied and elegant, at £11/person. The front desk service is also polite.

Except that the sound insulation is not very good, all are very good. The service, safety measures and hygiene are very good, and the traffic is very convenient. We also approved to check in early, which is convenient for us!

The hotel is right next to the train station. It is very close to Chinatown and Oxford Street. There is a theater nearby. I am the phantom of the opera in the next theater. There are also small hotels, but they are very delicate and very clean. They are very good hotels.

Hotel is in a great location for all local amenities including shopping centre and cinema. Great pool and sauna. Only downside is rooms are dated and could do with a revamp.

From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty. The service really was outstanding. In fact almost everything about the hotel was top class, from the location (2mins from Buck Palace), rooms, cleanliness, restaurant offer (fabulous food in ‘Bistro’) and uniqueness of the property itself. I say almost because there was one major let down for a place of this standard and that was the breakfast offer & service. The ‘hot food’ was served up buffet style in ceramic pots with no facility for keeping it heated, was offered up lukewarm and was cold by the time you got it to your table. On top of that you had to pre-order cooked eggs but again this was a total lost cause if you happened to be eating at the busier end of service as we found out with a 35minute wait for them. In all honesty, a hotel of this quality should easily be able to cater for a busy breakfast service especially if charging in excess of £20+ pp for the privilege and I made a point of calling this out discretely at reception where it was dealt with swiftly in a real professional fashion. Glowing experience saved! Only other small grumble was that the hotel bar, which we really enjoyed, closed down for business at 11pm... and on a Saturday night too Overall, a fabulous place and highly recommended for a special occasion... just avoid eating your brekkie when it’s busy.

I stayed for 6 nights and I LOVE my room, it is small, yes, but very cozy and clean. It's the perfect nap room with the sun coming thru the window. yes it HAS a window. Great location, most attractions are within a mile. Very close to bus stop and tube station. Great front desk staffs, great door man, he always open the door for me. No line for check in, no line for breakfast, I usually go before 9am, or after 10am. The only thing is sound proof isn't the best, I can hear my neighbor talking and some music from the street, but I use ear plugs so I was fine. I would stay here again if i visit London, in fact, this hotel is my favorite part of LONDON.

The Hotel location is right next to a tube and bus stop, which makes it very convenient. Its close to many restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shops, convenient store and supermarket. The hotel itself is nothing great, but just very old and very badly in need of proper refurbishment. The room on 6th floor where I stayed for was an upgrade, but had paint peeling off the door of the bathroom, the flush handle was broken. The housekeeping did a good job of cleaning the room properly, but its a very run down room with most rooms having lousy view. The Breakfast Restaurant is called SW7 and is located in ground floor and serves between 7-10.30 daily buffet which is with many choice and at decent price of GBP13.50. The choice of food is great even for vegetarians and the staff is very helpful. Special mention to the Supervisor Mr Enayet and Shantell, Kavita and all other guys. If you are looking at good price a decent location for your stay in London, then maybe this may be the place if you dont mind a run down room.
