Nestled on the slopes of Sulphur Mountain, a stone's throw from both the gondola and the Upper Hot Springs, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a rare find in Banff – a resort that offers both tranquility and stunning views. Its location, slightly removed from the main street, ensures exceptional quietude. Stepping out, you're greeted by pine forests and valleys, exuding that quintessential Rocky Mountain charm. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with excellent soundproofing. The mattress, while on the softer side, provides ample support. I highly recommend opting for a Mountain View room; waking up to the sight of morning mist swirling around the peaks is incredibly therapeutic. The hotel's dining options are of high quality, especially the Eden restaurant, which is renowned locally for its fine dining. The pool, sauna, and gym are all well-equipped, and curling up by the lobby fireplace in winter is wonderfully cozy. Overall, while the Fairmont Banff Springs doesn't pursue an overtly luxurious style, its environment, views, and privacy are outstanding, offering great value for money. It's a consistently excellent choice in the Banff area.

I think it is a good experience to stay in a castle. 😊 Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. But, the room is considered small and one king size bed is smaller than other 5-star hotels in downtown. As the room price is not cheap, i would recommend to try for one night stay to experience it.

Overall evaluation This stay was great. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the facilities were complete, and the service was very thoughtful. Advantages 1. Environment: The room was quiet and the surrounding environment was clean and tidy. 2. Facilities: The equipment was complete, and the air conditioner, TV, hot water, etc. could all be used normally. 3. Service: The front desk service attitude was good, and the check-in and check-out procedures were all

The room was very large, very clean and comfortable. The hotel service attitude was also very friendly. It was a very smooth and comfortable stay. The hotel is located in the small town of Banff. It only takes ten minutes to walk to the supermarket and it is very convenient to buy groceries.

The big bed is big enough for two people to sleep in. If you need anything, the staff will bring it up very quickly and deal with it immediately. The location is just a little bit at the end of Banff Avenue. It takes ten minutes to walk to the 8X bus stop (in the central area). It is still convenient, but the price is much cheaper. I highly recommend it. The only thing is that there is no hot water kettle and no water will be provided. You have to buy water yourself, which takes ten minutes to go to the supermarket. There is a microwave and a hair dryer.
- 日日旅行
Nice hotel. Have to say though, when you open the door to your room, a bathtub, not in the bathroom should not be the 1st thing you see. People we interacted with were not the most friendly. Like ...ok what do you need. Also, not having a resturant where you could get coffee or breakfast was a bit of a pain. They did have a coffee pot in the room, but hey I always go to hotel rooms for my coffee

We had a great time at Canoe. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. Soaking in the hot tubs were a great way to relax after a long day. It was easy to find parking (at least during the winter when we went) and a multi-day bus pass is provided if you don’t want to drive or walk to downtown Banff. Only complaint is that the heater/AC unit is below the window and the air would hit the occupants of the bed closest to it. We worked about it by blocking the air with a chair.

Great stay, but pricy. Plenty of parking spaces, each room has a little balcony. Everything is new, b bedsheets and towels clean. No slippers, robes provided. Location is right on the edge of the town, but hotel offers free pass for a local bus to take you to the center. Otherwise it’s kind of easy to depart to different scenic spots by car.

Overall pretty good, underground parking was rough with little space an terrible parkers. Unfortunately there’s nothing the hotel could do about people’s driving skills. I would recommend this hotel but get back early and walk if you can if you’d like to have a spot for your vehicle.

The overall feel is youthful and vibrant. The hotel's design is modern and stylish, with plenty of social space in the lobby. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, the beds are comfortable, and the cleanliness is quite good. The location is right in Banff town, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The breakfast was average and not very satisfying.

Room and lobby hardware are very good, modern and suitable for young people The bar waiter on the first day was not bad. The next day I met a waitress (Figure 1) with a very bad attitude and discriminated against the Chinese.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Parking garage was big but could use signage! The hot pools were refreshing. Lots of cozy areas to sit and relax- perfect for a couples retreat. Would have enjoyed a coffee and water station, and a spot to grab a muffin or fruit. Aside from that, zero complaints here! We’ll be back.

The Otter Hotel was amazing. 10/10 I would highly recommend staying here when staying in Banff. The rooms and bathroom are beautiful and kept clean. The staff are welcoming and they truly go above and beyond. Reece was particularly helpful with anything we needed. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

I've been to Banff many times before, but always stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This time, my family and I decided to revisit on a whim. Since the Fairmont was fully booked every day, we had to choose another hotel. I saw the Moose Hotel on Ctrip, with its underground parking and rooftop hot springs, and immediately booked a two-night stay. Upon arrival, we found the hotel to be right on the main street in the town center, which was super convenient for shopping. You can indeed drive directly into the underground parking garage and take the elevator straight up to all floors. After dinner, we enjoyed a free hydromassage in the rooftop hot springs and massage pool, washing away the fatigue from several days of driving. The hotel also provides three days of free bus passes for guests to visit nearby attractions. Our room was well-equipped. There was a kettle provided, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent, making for a very refreshing experience.

This hotel is absolutely excellent! It's right on the main street of Banff, very spacious, and its exterior is much more attractive than other hotels nearby. The interior was even more surprising; the room's amenities were top-notch, as expected. Plus, there's an outdoor spa pool on the 4th floor with mountain views, which was incredibly comfortable.

Excellent location in Banff! Near stores and restaurants with awesome views around. Very friendly staff too. The room itself was quite clean except that as soon as we entered, there were flies including fruit flies… Other than that, the room was big and warm. It had a keep safe too. The washroom was quite small, it was hard to close the door but it worked out.

We did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time. The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great. We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated. One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions. We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge! Location is a solid 5/5 — close to everything we needed and super convenient for exploring Banff. As a couple traveling on a budget, we found the price very reasonable, almost comparable to the nearby hostel, which made the comfort and quality here feel like an even better value. Special shoutout to their toilet amenities — they smelled so good they actually made us walk into the Rocky Mountain Soap store afterward and buy things we definitely didn’t need (lol). No regrets though! The breakfast was superb, delicious, fresh, and a perfect start to our days. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely stay here again!

Surprising cabin, we had a pleasant 2 nights here. The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen and living room were together, the bedroom was bigger than expected, and the bedding was very comfortable. There is heating, the fireplace can also be used, we asked the staff to help us make the fire. There are microwave ovens and induction cookers, simple kitchen utensils, we went to the supermarket to buy ingredients and made dinner by ourselves. In the evening, there was a deer eating grass on the lawn downstairs. The hotel has its own soup pool, which is very small, we are too tired to go soak. The staff is very welcoming and the old-fashioned door lock is not very easy to use.

We had an incredible stay at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals. The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes. What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort. I’d highly recommend Tunnel Mountain Resort for couples, families, or anyone wanting a true Banff escape. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and breathtaking scenery—I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Great value for money. Easy stroll to ski bus stop and the town centre, but a quiet, secluded location. Our room was very clean and spacious. Coffee and tea making, plus fridge, tv etc... were fine and a microwave was available in the hallway. The room was warm, however difficult to control the room temp and unfortunately an air con vent was always on and not controllable. Therefore a background noise all the time. The decor was also a little dated. However, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the next door hotel provided a smart pool and sauna area, as well as a great restaurant for breakfasts. Overall a good experience and would definitely consider staying again.
