We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Paso Del Norte and it has been one of our favorite hotel stays of the year! Everything was great: the service, the room, the amenities, and the location. We have stayed at a few historical hotels like this one but this one stands out the most as they did such a great job in renovating the rooms but also preserving the character of the hotel and its history. We highly recommend having a drink in the stunning lobby bar and having Sunday brunch at the hotel restaurant. The hotel has a small pool and deck area and it does get crowded but we enjoyed it early in the morning after a workout in the well-equipped gym with views. We also found the staff very friendly and helpful. They gave us ice water to go after breakfast after hearing about our day's plans to explore and reminded us to stay hydrated. Thank you for that!

A beautiful hotel in a great downtown location. Be certain to be aware of the history this location is steeped in. From the time you drive up (with underground parking) the lobby is expansive and inviting - with a large bar with entertainment just steps from registration. They have a roof top pool with a great view - as well as a bar sharing that same floor. Really great view and atmosphere at night. Plus, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, We had breakfast the following morning - and I'm embarrassed I can't locate the name of our waiter, as he was very personable, courteous and helpful - - a real credit to his craft and this property. And the breakfast buffet was far too expansive and tempting to deny.
