Main Floor:
As you step through the front door, you will be greeted by the Door County elegance and charm. Every detail of the welcoming interior is carefully curated to make you feel right at home.The sprawling yet cozy living area provides comfortable seating with impeccable views to set the the atmosphere for your gatherings. The fully equipped kitchen has everything that you need for preparing wonderful meals of your choice, and the spacious dining is perfectly designed to gather the family over good food and conversation. Enjoy the massive Primary on-suite, walk in tile shower, king bed with your private balcony over looking the water. 2nd guest room features two Twin over Queen Bunk Beds , flat screen with water views. 3rd guest room features Queen Bed, flat screen TV with water views. Shared beautiful spacious full bath.

Lower Level Walkout:
You will find the most amazing well appointed space that includes a large entertainment bar with plenty of seating, back bar with plenty of refrigeration for all of your entertainment needs. Large sectional with flatscreen to watch your favorite sporting event or relax and have a movie night. Patio doors lead out to the sprawling terrace with high top seating, sectional seating with gas fireplace and more. Beautiful lawn leading to the water and the large concrete pier which also serves as yet another place to kick you feet up and just relax, take a swim, or enjoy your favorite glass of wine as the sun sets in the comfort of Adirondack chairs and cozy up to the gas fire pit on the water.

You will appreciate the delightfully sun-soaked areas with mesmerizing views, manicured landscape. The fun never stops as we provide kayaks, paddle board and more. If you enjoy fishing, the pier provides an excellent place to soak your worm or favorite lurer. Plenty space to tie up your boat or personal watercraft. Minutes up the coast you can explore the beautiful Potawatomi State Park. Looking for a sandy beach or a game of tennis, Otumba park is a nice 5 minute walk. Restaurants and shopping galore are at your fingertips. Our home is set on a quaint piece of Door County's shoreline. Just steps from the waters of Sturgeon Bay, its location is very private, yet convenient to the city. The Chalet was built by my father in law, who spent his life working as a shipbuilder in Sturgeon Bay. Much of the structure is constructed with wood from ships dating back to the building of mine-sweepers during World War II. We've worked hard to try and update the home without losing its true uniqueness.

The Chalet hosts 3 bedroom-2 baths. With its distinctive structure, the cathedral ceilings present an open concept living/dining room area plus a newly remodeled kitchen with upgraded appliances.
Captains Quarters- The upstairs loft including a balcony provide the master with a king bed and en suite bathroom. The balcony adds extra sleeping with a futon.
On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms & a shared full bath.
Queens Stateroom-Has a bed fit for a Queen. Also a Pack & Play and an air mattress are in this bedroom closet.
Crews Quarters- Supplied with 4 twin beds (1-Bunk Bed & 1-Trundle Bed), to accommodate added guests. As well as the toddler rail for one of the twin-beds. Full-size laundry facilities are tucked in the closet of this room.
Also a Queen Sleeper Sofa is located in the shared living room on the main floor.

From the Chalet's large patio you will enjoy the early morning sunshine peaking from the east and the evenings captivating colors lighting up the surrounding bay. Recently renovated 3 BR, 1700 sf 4-square home in the heart of Sturgeon Bay. Just a few blocks from 3rd Avenue shops and restaurants. Beautiful new kitchen, bathrooms, addition and deck.
The space
We finished renovating this gem in 2018. It's immaculately decorated and has all of the amenities. We fell in love with this town and you will too - the live music, the food, the art and antiques, and of course the water! Just minutes from lake Michigan, northern Door County and more!

We have 2 bikes you can use - not great but they work for cruising around town.

The Door County Tourism Commission charges a 8% lodging tax which is already added to the daily rate for this property.

This cottage is on the water, overlooking beautiful Sturgeon Bay. Perfect place for fishing, kayaking, bonfires, biking... One block from Otumba Park's tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, playground, and a public beach. gorgeous walk to downtown Sturgeon Bay. The 3 bedrooms in the cottage hold a King, Queen, and a Full bed. Additional Queen and Full sized hide-a-beds are available so we can now accommodate up to 10 guests. Full kitchen dining room for dinner parties with lots of indoor/outdoor space for family cookouts, reunions, or weddings. I have built/rebuilt it with friends over the years with what I like to call "a hodgepodge collection of my emerging (and emergency) carpentry skills". My 12 year old son and I call Door County home year round and love to travel as much as possible during our guest stays. We hope that you will enjoy the cottage as much as we do. Guests of ALL AGES are ENCOURAGED to play the instruments in the music room. We love to hear it! In fact, feel free to use anything you find in and around the cabin: from tools, appliances, utensils, to the fire pit, and outdoor grills, or even the row boat or kayaks(at your own risk (during the day (and use life vests!))). We are not your typical waterfront rental.
