The room is clean and hygienic, the location is quiet in a busy place, the place is nice. Let's talk about food. For the first lunch, we went to a popular restaurant recommended by the boss. It is recommended to go in advance or wait in line in advance. There are a lot of people, but the taste is good; the second dinner was another recommended place (West Second **), which is also a farmhouse. Although the restaurant owner seems to have a good personality, and there is a 15% discount here (85% discount for recommendation), the environment and sanitation are poor, and the taste is not very good. It is not recommended for those who pay attention to this. The boss made breakfast the next day, porridge and side dishes, which were pretty good @ If you tell the boss in advance, the boss can also prepare catering. We had other arrangements the next day. It’s a pity that I didn’t taste the boss’s craftsmanship. Maybe next time

This is a house run by two retired teachers. We went to Dongping Forest Park and arrived at night. The teacher took the initiative to say that the rooms you booked are all together, and you may play mahjong at night. If you are afraid of noise, you can move to a family room on the first floor. It is equivalent to a free upgrade. The breakfast is also delicious. The two old people are thoughtful. I hope to see you again.

For two years in a row, we've chosen to stay at this hotel for Chinese New Year in Shanghai, and it truly lives up to its reputation as an established five-star property. Its location on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is incredibly convenient: the subway station is just a 5-minute walk away. Right across the street is The No.1 Department Store, and next door is the M&M's Flagship Store, offering plenty of shopping and dining options for the whole family. There are also countless authentic Shanghai eateries on nearby Jiujiang Road, Tianjin Road, Fujian Road, and Guangxi Road – so many choices you can't try them all! The hotel staff are warm and polite; the front desk even assigned us a room with a fantastic view, where we could see the 'Shanghai Trio' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), Nanjing Road, and the Huangpu River. Additionally, the cleaning staff are diligent and thorough; our room and bathroom were spotless. Staying at the Xinye Hotel made our Chinese New Year holiday feel extra joyful and comfortable. We'll definitely be back to this hotel on our future trips to Shanghai.

This is another hidden gem of a hotel that exceeded all my expectations! 😍 Located in the New World on Nanjing Road, its prime location goes without saying. Despite being 20 years old, the hotel is remarkably well-maintained. The rooms, hallways, and lobby all exude a sense of comfort. The rooms are fully equipped with practical amenities, avoiding unnecessary clutter. The swimming pool was a pleasant surprise – the views, cleanliness, water temperature, facilities, and service were all exceptional, making for an experience far beyond what I anticipated 👍. The revolving restaurant on the 45th floor is also worth multiple visits – highly recommended! The staff are incredibly well-trained, from the front desk to housekeeping, and the restaurant and gym staff, all providing warm, comfortable, and professional service. The price during the Chinese New Year holiday was also incredibly attractive! A truly wonderful experience!

I shared them with friends, and everyone raved about how delicious they were.

The bed was firm and comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and amenities like the shower and toiletries were high-quality for this price range. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a few minutes’ walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, People’s Square, and several metro lines. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions are right around the corner. Staff were helpful and check-in was smooth even for a non-Chinese speaker. This hotel is so~~~~ great. I am so touched by their service. Best Shanghai hotel ever. Those people at the front desk were fantastic. They even provided free Yu Yuan tour with guests. I have to thank so much to Jerry. He helped every thing for us. Very considerate and delicate service. He should be the global best hotelier!!! Location is very good. Right next to the Bund and Yu Yuan, both short walking distance. Don't worry if your room doesn't have a good view since in the 11th floor common balcony, any guests can have a beautiful view of the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. I loved their breakfast as well. The lady who checked in for my family for the restaurant was so great. I forgot her name, but maybe Camela. I really appreciate you! 1st floor bell crews were so kind as well. I definitely want to come to this hotel again. My families Shanghai visit was much happier because of these people. If I come again, I will stay with them. Thank you and miss you, everyone.

So many people for the New Year holiday! We had to queue for breakfast at 9:30 AM. Not sure if it's because of the New Year or if it's always like this! The InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland is definitely worth a visit though. 👍 But it was so crowded and lively that it kind of brought down the hotel's vibe a bit. 😭 The light show was great, and the aquarium downstairs was a big hit with the kids! 💕 The afternoon tea set pastries were just so-so, but the à la carte cakes were much better! 😋

This is our re-visit of the hotel. I don’t know why, but it just felt homey instantly (usually it will take me a night to get used to the room), it’s just comfortable with peaceful ambiance and soft lighting. The breakfast was amazing and it really helped to start our day in a pleasant way! We also had a pleasant interaction with the room-service robot who delivered bottle water to our room twice 😄 You just had to try it!!! too bad I couldn’t hug the robot 😄 I also like the Hotel’s good and combined use of technology and human service. I called from the room to ask for bottle water, and it was answered by a lady who said they will send a Robot to deliver. (In another hotel, I also made a call from the room with a small request, but it was an auto answer where you had to talk to a machine and dial the numbers when prompted, which often ended in frustration). Other than that, just one suggestion, I thought the quality of the toiletries and slippers provided could be better compared to the peer hotels, yea, especially for the slippers, they felt too synthetic compared to the slippers from the other two hotels I stayed at during this travel. Overall, great stay, pleasant experience and will revisit!

This hotel is perfectly suited to my taste. The lobby is predominantly decorated in black and red, with even the glass panels featuring a red tint. The lobby area is incredibly spacious, boasting many distinct seating zones, which made me feel like I could spend an entire day just lounging there. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a large shopping mall, MixC City, offering a wide array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Plus, it's just a few subway stops from either the train station or the airport. Getting to the hotel from Ziteng Road Metro Station: exit and enter the shopping mall through its main illuminated entrance. For the most straightforward path, *before* you reach the pedestrian street of the metro commercial area, follow the signs to take the elevator up to the second floor. From there, walk through the parking lot between Buildings A and B, and you'll arrive directly at the hotel, with no stairs to navigate. Overall, I feel the hotel's marketing efforts are insufficient. This hidden gem truly deserves to be discovered by more people.
