Reviews From Real Travelers
There are two bathrooms, living room and kitchen, hardware equipment is good, suitable for family living. But the sink in the toilet is relatively narrow, and washing your face often makes the floor full of water.
The table can be checked-in at three o'clock. When the time arrived, there was still no key in the post box. Later, they called and replied that they had not cleaned it. During the process of living, some spare parts were used up, and they were made up the next day, but the more troublesome thing was that the person who came to make up did not have a key and needed to make an appointment with the tenant. In addition, pay attention to airbnb can't store luggage, you have to find a nearby store to pay for it.

1. The room is not cleaned enough, and there are still earrings left by the previous guests in the cabinet and hairpin.
2. The lights in multiple locations are bad and need to contact customer service for repair
The bathroom is not clean and separated, and the whole bathroom is water after taking a bath
4.2 one bathroom, only one hair dryer is provided
5. There are only 1 clips for the shirt
6. The sense of space is very good, especially the terrace 👍🏼👍🏼
7. Inadequate light
8. The sound insulation is very poor, the sound of police cars at night, the sound of grass cutting in the morning, and the sound of street washing from time to time 😩😩😩
9.WIFI Received poor, the bedroom can't receive it, and the cable is often disconnected

Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed in North Sydney for a total of 10 nights and had the following issues, which made our experience very unpleasant and disappointing.
1. The photos on your website are very different from the actual room we stayed in. I understand that different room types have different prices, but your website only displayed photos of one room type, which misled guests into thinking all rooms are the same. We chose your place based on those photos, and if I had known what our actual room would look like, I probably wouldn't have chosen this property.
2. The main entrance door lock at this address was broken from the day we checked in. The door remained open the entire time until we left, and no one came to fix it.
3. For several days during our stay, there was a strong garbage smell in the corridor. We didn’t know the cause, but this situation lasted for three or four days.
4. The salt and pepper provided were already moldy, and many kitchen utensils were in poor condition, especially the pan. We had to buy a new pan from the supermarket to use.
5. I don’t understand why the quilts don’t have duvet covers. Instead, they used two sheets to sandwich the quilt like a sandwich, and the sheets and quilt are not fixed together, so they often shift out of place. The quilt itself was also very thick, which made us so hot at night that we kept waking up. In the end, we had to remove the quilt and use just the two sheets as covers.

It could've been a perfect stay; however due to a leaking ceiling that dripped onto the bed of one of the bedrooms, there wasn't quick enough fix so my friend had to move out and arrange other accommodation. I was given only compensated $150 back for the 4 night stay. Although the building leak is not at the fault of Urban Rest, the timeliness and follow up of the issue was lacking. We also couldn't get the balcony door to close properly and no one was able to come to fix that as well. Other than these 2 things, it really is a nice apartment with laundry machine and Nespresso machine. Very comfortable for 3 people if all is functioning properly. Not far from Victoria Cross Train station, so it's convenient.

Like: location is perfect, lots of good restaurants around within walking distance.
Dislike: be aware of what street the room facing. It’s loud at night, ppl talk and laugh can hear very clearly.
Services: overall are good, I’ve been staying meriton many times in many locations, but this one Meriton on Kent was disappointing. I’ve asked baby amenities before my trip start but never got any as they promised they’ve been noted and prepared.
Special note: at the checked in they gave us a small room facing loud street and construction site( we booked a higher price of room and staying 5 nights)。
They had originally agreed to change our room. However, due to a communication gap among the staff the next day, it took quite a long time to resolve the misunderstanding before the room change was finally completed.
*the cafe next to Meriton has the best fresh squeeze juice ever, we bought it every morning! And the muffins are my babies favorite!FromNZD 219

This hotel, a former century-old post office, beautifully blends classic charm with modern amenities. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly professional and polite. Anything I needed during my stay was delivered very promptly. The only noticeable drawback was the inconsistent shower pressure, with the water fluctuating between hot and cold. Other than that, there were no significant issues.FromNZD 290

The hotel's location is indeed great, right by Darling Harbour with plenty of dining options nearby. However, the cleanliness was a bit subpar. Even after leaving a note asking for fresh towels, they only provided one clean towel for a double room. There was no weighing scale in the room, and the body lotion in the bathroom was empty – I had to write a note to get it replaced. Overall, my impression is just average. For some reason, there was always a loud roaring sound passing by outside the window, which was a bit noisy.FromNZD 348

This was the best hotel of our entire trip to Australia! The room was really spacious with high ceilings, making for a very comfortable stay. The water pressure in the bathroom and shower was excellent, so showering and washing up were a breeze. The hotel's location is superb; just behind it is George Street, which is Sydney's CBD, making it super convenient for shopping, getting groceries, and catching a train. You can also walk to Circular Quay, which is incredibly handy for catching a ferry to Taronga Zoo, Rose Bay, and Watson's Bay. Highly recommend!FromNZD 300

Darling Harbour Sydney|0.42km from city center
The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried.FromNZD 320

The hotel location is very convenient, right next to the train station and light rail. There's also a lounge where you can relax and enjoy free hot drinks. On Saturday nights, if there's an event at the bar next door, the soundproofing isn't great, but it always ends promptly at 12 AM.FromNZD 180

I stayed at two Sofitels in Sydney during my Australia trip, and because I was so satisfied with the Sofitel Darling Harbour, I decided to book this downtown Sofitel after returning from Cairns. However, this turned out to be the biggest mistake of my two-week trip.
The hotel mainly uses self-check-in, with two counters in a corner for manual service. Check-in went smoothly enough, but the moment I opened my room door, I was stunned. The room was not the standard type I booked; it was tiny. I wasn't expecting a fancy view, but at least they shouldn't have given me the worst room in the hotel – the only internal-facing room on each floor, facing a large exhaust fan, and on the lowest floor! I couldn't help but wonder if I had offended someone. I called to request a room change and was told that the room type I booked was fully occupied for the night, with only a 'special room type' left on the 11th floor (a room designed for guests with disabilities). I said, 'Alright, at least it's a standard room.' So I started waiting for someone from the hotel to show me the room, but after nearly 10 minutes, no one came. Meanwhile, I noticed that the room type I originally booked was available on various platforms. So I went directly to the front desk to change rooms, and this time it was resolved smoothly. Finally, I was assigned the room type I had reserved. Although the room wasn't large, it certainly looked like a standard 5-star room.
Another thing I have to complain about is the hotel's front office service (excluding the concierge), which was practically non-existent. The so-called 'brand standard' clearly didn't apply to them. 1. There was no apology whatsoever for assigning such a bad room, and no genuine effort to resolve the issue. 2. I called for two forks, but by the time I checked out the next day, there was no sign of them. I've stayed in many 5-star hotels globally, and the housekeeping service here was arguably the most disappointing.
The breakfast, however, was quite good. While it's true, as other guests have mentioned, that there's often a long queue, we were seated quickly on the day we went. The breakfast selection was rich, and although the overall service efficiency wasn't very high, I considered it quite good for this hotel.FromNZD 395

The room was very pleasant, with new, clean furniture and high-quality plumbing. It had all the conveniences, such as a kettle, iron, and ironing board. The air conditioning and water worked perfectly, and the room was warm and comfortable. There were no issues with soundproofing; you'd only hear neighbors if they opened their door or spoke loudly in the hallway.
On the ground floor, there are coffee machines where you can enjoy unlimited free coffee with milk, sugar, and cookies.
The location is convenient, close to cafes and restaurants, Darling Harbour, Chinatown, and bus and metro stops.
The staff was very courteous. Once, when the hotel elevator wasn't working, they compensated us with chocolates and water.
You can leave your luggage at the reception, and it's possible to pay the deposit with cash, not just by card as stated on Trip.com.FromNZD 195

Booked a twin room with breakfast (including breakfast for two children) through Trip.com. The front desk initially claimed there was no breakfast, then gave us a room on the lowest floor. When checking out, it was pouring rain, and we had a ton of luggage, plus elderly and children. The concierge not only didn't help with an umbrella, but was also hesitant about lending one for us to get to the car.
I called the hotel's customer service through Trip.com, and the breakfast issue was resolved. As for the other 'software' aspects, it's really an issue of quality for an old five-star hotel. Chinese guests booking through Trip.com likely face discrimination and difficulties at this hotel.
The location is on the row closest to the Opera House, facing the Harbour Bridge in the front and the Botanic Garden in the back. The surroundings are right in the heart of the tourist hustle, but I personally prefer the garden view side. Breakfast is purely Continental, a la carte.FromNZD 463

The hotel's location is superb. The front desk staff were great; we booked for three people for three days, but since one person left early, we needed to extend for one day for two people. The best hostel for solo travellers. I was a bit hesitant at first given that the only available room was the mixed dorm. However, the room is clean, quiet, enough space for luggages. I think the best thing I noticed is the cleanliness and the travellers who were checking in because they are all well-mannered. It was a bummer that it was fully booked on my last day on Sydney. I transferred to a different hostel across the street and just massive comparison.

The location is in the middle of the CBD and it is convenient to go to the sights. The room is a bit old and the WIFI signal is weak. The elevator has to manually open and close the door. The elevator has to open the door once and the floor of the first floor is not aligned. It is necessary to bend over and step on the way, which is terrible! Be careful of safety incidents.
