The hotel was ok but booking from Trip service was terrible. This is the first time I booked a hotel from the Trip and they ripped me off. They overcharge me. their app showed the price one and when I I made booking they charged me extra. I was completely socked. I contacted to trip but hey were hopeless. We live in Australia but they charged me us dollar which they did not mention. I

This place is brilliant. The staff are so helpful even making us a special Vegan breakfast. The beds were super comfortable, and the lounge bar area is set out beautifully with games to play and happy hour. We'll definitely be back!

The choice of this hotel was also decided after reading the strategy and comprehensive consideration. After checking in, first of all, I was amazed by the design of the hotel inside and outside, and I was very happy. The overall facilities and services of the hotel are not bad. The smile and voice of an Asian waitress in the breakfast room make people feel very sincere, warm and comfortable; the meals in the bar are basically vegetarian, but full of creativity It's delicious and not expensive (compared with restaurants outside and gourmet shops in commercial centers); everything in the minibar in the room is free, including wine, beer, cola, milk, nuts, potato chips... small food. This is not available in ordinary hotels; the room is very quiet, and I don’t think the sound insulation is bad (maybe it’s off-season?), the hotel’s hygiene is very good, the room supplies are very clean, and slippers, toothbrushes and other accessories are not necessary. But the hotel provides it free of charge according to the needs of the guests, and you can ask for it at the front desk. The downside is that the light in the guest room is too dark (the patrons are pursuing a sense of design), and guests need to look bright! Also, all the door touches in the guest room don't work well.

This was one of the most memorable experiences we have had. We live in Canberra but wanted to have a staycation for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted on arrival by a very professional and friendly Rupka. He advised that we were lucky to be chosen as “Star” guests. This enabled us to upgrade our free drinks to cocktails, a full a la carte breakfast, and a late checkout. There were also handmade high quality chocolates in our room on arrival. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar area so much we ended up staying there for our anniversary dinner. The room was beautiful. The bed was luxury. The corridors even had bird sounds playing creating a calm atmosphere. The foyer was an architecturally stunning visual. All workers were friendly and welcoming, a sign that they enjoy their jobs and workplace. Special shout out to Rupka who was there again the next day at checkout. Even if you are not chosen to be the “Star” guest, the free welcome drinks, lolly bar, mini bar in room and breakfast are all incredible touches to a wonderful stay. We will be back for another wedding anniversary!

Overall, the service is very good. Every staff greets you with a smile, answers questions patiently, and is very satisfied with the room and breakfast. The only downside is that the swimming pool is a bit small, in another building outside the hotel. Due to hygiene issues, the swimming pool is closed on the afternoon of the check-in day.

Having stayed at the Hotel Realm on numerous occasions for business, my latest visit was predictably very good. My room booking was upgraded on arrival which was a nice touch, as was the complementary beverage ticket. The Hotel Realm has served Canberra well over the years but unfortunately it shows in some aspects. Torn and / or worn carpet in a few places detracts from the overall finish and some refurbishment is in order. Also, you need to be aware that it is a little distance from Canberra City proper or the Kingston / Manuka shops and restaurants. All that said, another very good stay. The staff are friendly and the ambience is what you would expect. Recommended.

Very satisfied with the experience, the hotel facilities and services are first-class, parking is easy, and the location is also very central and close to the punch-in location. The fly in the oin**ent is that due to the prevention and control of the epidemic, the buffet breakfast has not yet opened, and the swimming pool and gym also need to be booked, and the opening hours are relatively short.

Having stayed at the QT in Sydney we booked this one for our stay in Canberra and our room was very good. We were on the 11th floor in a Superior King and had a small balcony with views across Lake Burley Griffith and around to Black Mountain. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was on the small size. The linens and towels were very good and love the fact that the brand uses Kevin Murphy toiletries. The bathroom was also on the small side and definitely had to be one person in the shower/one by the sink in the space. Check-in was quite quick although we were left to ‘drive’ the luggage trolley from our car into the lift and to the room and return it to reception. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience the Capital Bar and Grill as being a Monday, it was closed on the night of our stay. We did have a whisky in the bar and the barman was very helpful as we made our decision as to which brand. The hotel location is excellent and underground parking is available, and all very comfortable for our one-night stay. The staff were friendly but, we did however, miss the ‘quirkiness’ we expected from the QT brand.

The good things: Great central location, easy walk into the centre of Canberra or to Floriade, staff super friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, pod coffee was a treat, house keeping to respond to anything we needed, room service also quick and the pizza was super tasty and loved that there was a small balcony to let some fresh air in. The things that need improvement: the rooms were super stuffy so either the air conditioning doesn’t work in spring or it’s set on a ridiculous high temperature, so we had the balcony door open a bit, but then you had to put up with the traffic noise. Housekeeping never left extra toilet paper or tissues, so you had what was on your roll or in the box, several times during our stay we had to ask for more which was delivered quickly, but was just inconvenient when it’s usually a given at every hotel, this seemed quite odd. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, the menu didn’t appeal to be honest. If you don’t eat steak or fish, there isn’t many other options and they describe themselves as Italian with big dish energy, there is nothing Italian about the menu.

Reviews From Real Travelers
Just returned from a 2 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our room had 2 king size beds in two separate bedrooms both with televisions, bathroom, with shower/toilet and plenty of storage, lounge room, with lounge and 2 single seats, dining area with table and 2 seats, a washer/dryer combo and a well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage throughout the unit. Our dryer wouldn’t work and despite 2 people looking at it, no one could get it to dry. This was inconvenient as we had planned on being able to wash and dry clothes and towels. The TV in the bedroom with the window also didn’t work. We tried a different remote that turned it on but still said no signal. We advised reception on checkout and we’re told it would be passed on. As a regular Accor customer, I would have thought a discount might have been appropriate having pain $600 for two nights. Parking is also an addition $25/ day. Our wifi cut off in the morning before checkout time which I also found strange. Checkout was by 10am and at 630am, no wifi. The hotel is in a great location. There is no where to park and check in so I had to double park which was obviously not ideal. The lobby is also very small. The hotel was very clean and everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We also didn’t get our room service, which again reception were advised about. The security thing you tap for entry to car park is on the passenger side which is difficult when you are in the car on your own! All these small issues aside, we had a great stay.

Happy Campers We arrived 9.30am , check in was not until 2pm. Reception was going to hold our luggage, however our room was ready, so we were able to go in immediately. We had a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adults, plus kitchen / coffee/tea/milk. The room was very clean and spacious, with balcony. Although no food available on the premises, there were eateries in walking distance, where we had breakfast and dinner. The cafe was the best option we found.

Upon arrival we were aware that no car parking was at the hotel, which is a little frustrating but workable. Dropped our bags off and went to park the car which was about a 10 walk at 9pm during winter, to say it was fresh understates it. Back at the hotel I went to check in and only 1 person on and surprisingly at that time it was very busy, so the wait time to get to the room was considerable. Having said that though the staff on were very pleasant and helped store the bags until we got back from parking the car. The room itself was nice and even though it was situated on a busy section of Canberra was nice and quiet. The room was well maintained and the bathroom was fine. Had no issues with check out. Possible things that maybe they could look at is Valet parking or similar as well as maybe working with a local food place to supply meals, just a thought.

Ok so the hotel is lovely not deluxe but absolutely fine. Has everything you’d expect: nice comfy beds, desk, tv,wifi plus a few nice extras like a small kitchenette with microwave, Nespresso, hotplates etc. When we stayed the cafe downstairs was temporarily closed for a few days, the other cafe ( there are 2) would not do just coffee and orange juice ONLY FULL BUFFET BREAKFAST!! No alternative so we left walked about 30 steps across to The Canberra Grind where we got great coffee and orange juice and a pastry. Desk was quick to point out that neither coffees shop downstairs is owned by the hotel but it’s still on the premises so they will get a negative blow back from bad/ no service to their hotel guests.

Hotel is good, when we went, it was just the New Year holiday, I felt that the staff was not enough, the breakfast was a bit confusing, the breakfast buffet was good, there was a free parking space but there were only a limited number, and I could only stop at the hotel’s paid garage. In it, a dozen or so Australian dollars a night, or parked on the side of the road not far away.

Breakfast is very rich and suitable for families. The location of the hotel is in the city and it also provides free parking, which is great! The hotel rooms are large, clean and tidy, and the service is good. Highly recommended!

I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. Breakfast is the kind of order. Very close to the city center, a quiet hotel. More than 2,000 a night, the front desk will not be Chinese, it is a hotel for foreigners. Canberra has a beautiful view and is especially suitable for living.

I was unsure how my stay was going to be but it was excellent. I stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bed female dorm. You don't get keys or cards you instead download an app called Goki which you just use an email to login to and has all of the doors you need on it. The building is very secure, to enter later at night you need to have the app to unlock it. The room smelt very nice and there was a large window which let in a lot of light. We each got a locker with plugs in, and there was a desk with two chairs. The bunk beds were sturdy and didn't creak. Your bed had a pillow and a nice quilt along with all of the sheets you would need. The bathrooms were very clean and smelt very nice. The common areas were tidy and the laundry room was easy to access and use, as the payment for the machines was also on your phone. The accommodation was right next door to the Canberra centre with many restaurants and shops as well as a five minute walk from the art gallery. For $50 a night it was definitely reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay longer next time!

A very satisfying stay. Because when I rented a car at the car rental company during the day, I forgot to get my only credit card. When I checked in at night, I realized that I couldn't find my credit card. The Chinese employee at the front desk (female, Northeastern, I forgot to ask her name, sorry!) was very patient and helped me find a solution, and finally upgraded my room for free. Great experience! In addition, I must say that this hotel is really good. All facilities, from hardware to software, are great!

I enjoyed my stay. A comfortable little apartment with decent facilities. It was less than a 10 minute walk to Aldi for a grocery shop and the little kitchenette meant I could eat a bit healthier while I was travelling. There were just a few minor maintenance issues that stopped it being a 5 star for me. My air-conditioning unit didn't seem to work correctly and seemed to run quite hot on the standard auto/auto the hotel asked it to be set on. The spa in the pool area was undergoing maintenance unfortunately, that would have been great after a long day. The little gym had good equipment and nice atmosphere being on level 2 rather than the basement but it didn't appear to be serviced and there were a couple of machines that needed maintenance, it also needed a top up of cleaning supplies.

Fantastic little rooms that are central to everything, great customer service, and the rooms are full of all the amenities that you would need. Nice hotel. The decoration is not luxurious but has everything. The design of the atrium and the sky is a bit like a miniature version of Jin Mao Hyatt. The living room is relatively small, and there is not much space to open the sofa bed, but it has its own kitchen and washing machine, which is very convenient for cooking. The bathroom is very big, but the downside is that the bathtub is not slip-resistant and slips easily. The bedroom is very quiet, the balcony glass sliding door is very thick, and the sound insulation is excellent. Parking is quite convenient (to be charged separately), the hotel has not many parking spaces, but you can park in the airport parking lot a step away.

Just take few minutes walk to bus stop, where you can take bus to all the sightseeing in the city and train station.
