Beautiful hotel around the corner from Beamish site,very clean,room good size with bath and shower, food and drink beautifully presented,staff superb, walking paths for all capabilities of you want a stroll

Can’t fault Dakota hotels. The comfy beds and all round service from reception to the grill and bar staff.

The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is located close to the river, and it was very enjoyable to sit by the window of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The room refrigerator provides free drinks, which is very friendly to guests. The only downside is that the hotel parking space is too small, and cars that arrive late can only park outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant serves Italian food. To be honest, the quality is average. If it is not for the good view, you don't have to eat in the hotel.

Large space, complete facilities, even washing machines, drying racks. Location is OK. It would be better if there is oil and salt. I only cook one meal, such as buying oil and salt, and the fire is completely over. So there is no oil and salt to cook.

The hotel was better than we thought, we had a deluxe room with a stand alone bath, which was lovely, beds very comfortable, very clean. Staff were very helpful.

I booked this hotel twice by accident because the Trip.com key button did not work. They were very rude and condescending when explaining to me that I needed to go back to the third-party agent. The latter then told me to go back to the hotel and I just went from one side to the other. it was just an accident I don’t know why they were so insistent in not refunding me.

Everything was amazing apart of loudness from local nightclubs with all disco music and shoutings as glazing is not perfect

Very disappointed to find on checkout that the supposed £50 swipe they demanded of my card for health and safety was in fact to cover possible damage to the room and would not be refunded until my room was cleaned and inspected if they don’t trust me then I don’t trust them I refused to leave until room had been inspected and my refund authorised

Not bad, a little far from the train station, but close to the river, there are many bars. But the hotel is a bit old. There is a good English breakfast shop and ice cream shop nearby.
