Except for a spider when I entered the room, the room was clean and tidy, the shower was a bit old, the hotel did not have a lobby, and the check-in was in the **
The room was clean, the infrastructure was perfect, there was a small gym, the breakfast was the finishing touch, the variety was not too much, but it was very appetizing. There is a free shuttle to the airport, praise.
Room was nice but really small for $227.00 for one night. Upon arriving and getting a first floor room found that the outside window to the parking lot was open and could have easily allowed someone to come in. Maintenance fixed it but it was a little disconcerting. Everything else was fine and the morning buffet was very good. There was an additional charge on my credit card for $22.00 that wasn't explained and that was irritating. I would stay there again however as the inconveniences mentioned weren't disqualifying.
Customer service at the counter and from housekeeping were very good.
The Victorian Inn provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Sparks will find that the Victorian Inn is a fantastic accommodation choice. With Reno Amtrak Station just 6km away and Reno-Tahoe International Airport only 7km away, transportation is very convenient. There's plenty to do nearby, with Nugget Bingo, Magique and New Jerusalem Baptist Church all within a short distance. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Sparks hotel features parking on site.
I think this was a great stay. Very nice, spacious studio suite for a comfortable price. The amenities are enjoyable, and the staff was nice. My son had fun in the pool, and I enjoyed the gym. I would stay here again, but next time, I'll have to bring my basketball to enjoy the court that they have.
The surrounding environment is nice, the service is good, the rooms are tidy and clean, the public areas are also clean, the facilities are not too new, but quite complete, and the breakfast provided is also good.
The floor of the bathroom had what appeared to be dried poop near the toilet and on the floor as you exited the bathroom. The maid had been in cleaning the room just before we entered. I could not believe this had not been cleaned off of the floor. I was rather disgusted. The bathroom light switch and back of the door near where you put your hand to close it was dirty, and the mirror of above the sink had what looked to be spit marks from someone using an electric toothbrush or flossing in front of the mirror and stuff flinging onto it. The room appeared to have had a base level clean out but was definitely not clean. When I told the font desk about all of this at check out I was given a simple, I am sorry, I will let the cleaning people know. It took about 5 minutes of pushing random buttons with no labels on the air conditioning unit to finally get it to come on. The beds were comfortable and the location is great for our purpose.
