I’ve been visiting Big Bear for many years but have always rented houses with friends. When my husband and I decided to go up just the two of us, we took a chance on booking a hotel room for the first time. We expected the accommodations to be somewhat older because much of Big Bear is that way, but our room exceeded our expectations. Our Standard King room with fireplace was spacious, extremely clean, well equipped (microwave, mini fridge, silverware, coffee maker and mugs), and all for a reasonable price. We will be coming here any time we need just a room instead of renting a house.

This was our worse experience with a hotel! We booked a room overnight to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary, on a weekday for peace and quiet. We ended up leaving at 12:30 in the morning!!!! 1. The pipes made a sound like a train every time the toilets flushed, ok I get it...old pipes, however, the neighbors kept going to the bathroom every 10 mins. I called front office to ask for a room change, I was told that any room would have that sound and they cannot prevent our neighbors from going to the restroom. 2. No air conditioning, only a fan and a window- which would have been fine if the downstairs neighbors weren't smoking pot and playing music like they were at a greatful dead concert!! Another call to the front office, response was they can do what they want and since it is only 10:30 we cannot stop the music until 11:00pm. Still no offer to change rooms, even at my suggestion!!! 3. 11:30- party still raging downstairs, call front office...sad it will be taken care of! 4. 12:30- packed up, we are done, go to turn in keys, front office says...well I can probably find you another room, are you sure you don't want to stay!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
