Nice enough place. Clean enough, although the pool needs resurfacing, and the spa pool didn't work at all. But, I had issues both days of my stay with breakfast. It was supposed to start at 6:30. We were in the area to attend racing school at Lime Rock Park and needed to be on the road by 6:40. I ficured I would catch a quick bite and go. Except, breakfast wasn't ready at 6:30. Or 6:35. Or 6:40. Had to go. The second day we had a bit more time. I started serving myself food, using all the appropriate serving utensils. The attendant pointed to a sign saying disposable gloves were needed. He said it wasn't mandatory, but when I continued he literally got in my face and started lecturing me about ”the virus.” This is August 2022, not 2020. Mind you, he wasn't wearing a mask, neither was I, nor were any of the hotel employees or guests, nor did the hotel require masks. It seems this service employee decided on his own that surface contamination was the greater risk (even though we know it isn't), and implemented his own rules, I assume with his employer's permission. Sorrry, you lose at least one star for that. And I'm probably being generous.

The good: Friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. The bad: The cleaning needs to be more thorough and the staff more informative. Areas like the microwave controls and the alarm clock controls look they have never been wiped down. The alarm controls were caked grime and dead skin. Only one plastic cup was wrapped in plastic. Most concerning is the back entrance doors are not kept locked, meaning anyone can enter at any time without a room key. There are room key readers next to the door so not sure why they are not locked. There is no hotel information in the room and it wasn't until our last day we knew they had breakfast available. This was never mentioned at checkin in
