The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a beautiful property located directly on the beach. The staff was attentive and professional . Johnny , the attendant on the beach was so helpful and set up our beach chairs and umbrellas every morning. The waitresses at Oceans 2000 restaurant were gracious and knowledgeable. Even after I requested several changes and off menu items. The view was the best and you can’t beat the direct beach access. I hope you get to come here to enjoy a few days of sun sand and beach !

From the welcome to all the staff. Right on the water with chairs and towels ready. Housekeeping was on point the whole week. Stayed and ate at Deep Oceanfront. The food was amazing. Great time will be looking to check in again soon. Thanks.

Myself and my friend stayed here 4 nights. We really loved our stay. Everyone who works there is super friendly, we got to know their names. But a big shout out to the pool bartenders, Nikki, Julie and Jenna. They were the best. Got to know us, knew our drinks, listened and made conversations. It's that extra touch that makes this place special. It's in the perfect spot. Grocery and liquor store, cvs and restaurants right across the street. Bars and food less than a 15 minute walk. Or you don't even need to leave the hotel, they have great drinks and great food. Private beach with chairs and towels was perfect. Good pool. We had a leaky mini fridge, but it was fixed that day. Rooms need a little updating, which was happening during our stay,but was not interruptive. Would recommend to anyone who wants a worry free vacation, with a small hotel feel.

I'm sure you've already read some of the other horrific reviews of this place, but really - none of them are exaggerating! Yes, the staff is lovely, but the hotel is an overpriced dump! The photos on their website area bait-and-switch. Upon arrival, you enter a hallway that's obviously under renovation. The staff immediately tells you they've been having trouble renovating because materials are hard to get due to Covid... ok, but that's not responsible for all the things that went wrong... well here it goes... Everything is shabby or broken. The floor tiles in the hallways and rooms are cracked. The bathtub is chipped. The carpets are stained. The window locks are broken. The balcony is floor is chipped and the balcony chairs are rusty. Bathroom fixtures are missing. Electrical outlets are chipped. Paint is peeling everywhere. I could go on, but you can also look at some of my photos. I'm not kidding, the very tiny TV is plugged into a power strip that's nailed to the middle of the wall - who does that? For some reason, the sink is in a room with a rusted out microwave, fridge, and safe where only 2 of the buttons work. The toilet and bathtub is in a separate room that is so small. you have to stand between the toilet and the tub or remain sitting on the toilet to open the door. The sheets and ”blanket” are super thin. The towels are small and thin (see the picture of the folded beach towel on a chair... that is ridiculous). The shower curtain is so worn out, it doesn't prevent water from flooding the bathroom every time you take a shower. There were no cups in the room, plastic or otherwise and the ”products” were about the quality you'd find in a cheap motel. And here's my favorite part... I went to flush the toilet and it didn't work. I figured, Ok, I'll call the front desk, only to realize that it wasn't the toilet that was broken, we had no water in our room at all. I called the front desk and they had no idea why this was happening, so I went to the pool. When picking up my impossibly thin pool towels, I was informed that ”Yeah, we had a leak so we had to cut the water.” There was no phone call or notice, they just cut off all water without telling their guests. There was no offer to compensate us until the next day when I complained enough to have some of the bill discounted. This place is not cheap either (about $300/night). I'm no snob, but I'd expect more than an Econo Lodge experience from a place that costs this much.

This hotel was a joke. It already started when checking into the hotel. I did book 2 rooms over booking.com and already paid in advance so the only job for the front desk was to hand over the keys and inform us about the 200$ deposit for each room - annoying that such things aren’t communicated previous but still not the worst thing. The receptionist was that incompetent that she was not able to collect the money from booking.com. She kept telling us we only had paid for one room and the second one was not paid for yet and we had to talk to booking.com to clear up that issue. Complete nonsense we kept arguing for over half an hour and showing her our credit card recipes and she was 1st unable to retrieve the money from booking and second absolutely rude and not helping. She did not manage to provide us with any receipts and when we askd if we can just take a picture of the sheet we had signet where it stated that at least the 1st room was paid fore (after she was not able to print out a reciept) her college just kept shouting “thats the property of the hotel”. rude dude. Non of the personal there was helpful - i dont want to say any names because i don’t want them to loos there job but stay the hell away from them. So we had to pay for the second room again and I immediately called booking.com. I got to a really helpful girl and she confirmed that everything was paid for and ok from my side - then she called the hotel - after she got back to me she informed me that she talked “to someone who was really familiar with the problem but didn’t want to state their name to her” - like a coward - if you make a mistake stand up to it! Well the nice girl from booking.com did also tell me she had to “lecture the front desk” of the hotel on how to collect money from booking.com - such a joke as if it was not their job to do such things every single day. At that point i was so pissed at the hotel that i would have left if i had not invested that much money! (way to much if you ask me for what they are providing - totally overpriced) Later the girl who messed up at the front desk did inform us she had canceled the extra charge on our credit card - we will see if she did otherwise we will definitely take some legal steps. That was just the start of the stay … we thought we will stay in a nice 4* Hotel like they advertised on booking.com - hahaha such a joke…. On google it is only classified as a 3* hotel so big lie there. The beach is unusable due to huge amounts of sea**** - impossible to swim because they do not even properly clean the beach. The chairs at the pool are free to use but the sound of the air conditioning is so loud that you can not hear the ocean … not what i am hear for - same goes for the balcony (+ plus nice side note that the air conditioning blows right onto your balcony making sitting out there impossible. Review Our stay at Inn on the Drive was perfect. The Inn is literally steps away from all of the action in Wilton Manors, yet tucked quietly away. We found the pricing to be very reasonable. The grounds are nicely landscaped and the pools are beautifully lit at night. Check-in/out was super easy, with helpful text messaging from the host. The room was spacious, modern, comfortable and very clean. Overall, we a great experience and will definitely be back!

I stayed at this hotel 2/19-2/23 and was in 4 different rooms in 4 nights. The first room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. We were switched right away. The second room windows had phallic symbols drawn all over them, there were no shelves or towel bars in the bathroom and a permanent shower door that only covered half the shower so water went all over the floor. We had disturbances in the hallway at approx 1:30a both nights and no one is at front desk from 11p - 7a to handle the situation, they expect you to call the police. The third room was small (we didn't care) with balcony and ocean view. No hair dryer, which we requested and never received. However, french doors that connected to the room next door. They had a lock but didn't shut all the way and had a huge gap.(pics attached) This is a huge issue for many reasons. Safety - as the occupants pulled on the doors at 10:30p and could have pulled hard and pulled them open. Disturbing - they were so loud and with the gap, we might as well have been in the same room because we could hear their entire conversation. They were loud from 10:30p - 11:30p and then again from 1:15a - 3a. This room is clearly an extension of the suite and no one should be allowed to stay in there that doesn't know the people staying in the suite, let alone charge them for it. Finally the fourth room - had ocean view and balcony but the shower handle came off when I turned it on, again no shelves or towel bars, the half shower door and we were woken up at 12:30a but what we think was power-washing going on in the kitchen outside because the generator was so loud. The front desk receptionists tried to be as helpful as they could in switching our rooms. One of them did reimburse us our resort fees of $60 (which turned out they only did half). But it took time out of our vacation each day to talk with them and come in from the beach to pack, switch rooms and unpack our things. 2 of the 3 floor hallways we were in smelled like marihuana every time we got off the elevator. The Tiki Bar food and drinks are good although they are slow. The staff was vocal on 3 different occasions to us about them being short staffed. I sent 3 emails to the general manager Mike Lang and left several messages with the front desk. He finally called to tell me he had passed on my email to someone named Sarah to reach out (his boss). He explained he was sorry for our issues and understood where we were coming from but that he couldn't do anything except offer a free night. Considering the trouble we went through, the fact that I don't know when my friend and I could come back and one night is not enough, I said we would prefer reimbursement. He did reimburse us the other half of the resort fees ($30). I asked him for Sarah's contact information and he wouldn't give it out and told me she would be in touch. I have sent 2 follow up emails to him that I haven't heard from her and have got nothing. This is not how anyone expects to spend their vacation. Time consuming and frustrating to say the very least. It is even more aggravating that they are not responding to try to make it right. I've reported this hotel to the BBB and am awaiting a response.
