You’ll find plenty to enjoy right on your doorstep, with excellent transport links that make the rest of London easy to access.
A Neighbourhood Full of Personality
Bermondsey has evolved from its industrial past into one of London’s most exciting urban villages. It’s known for its village-like atmosphere and creative energy, where converted warehouses sit alongside leafy parks, and stylish restaurants mix with traditional pubs. Locals greet each other by name at the bakery, and visitors quickly feel part of the neighbourhood's rhythm.
Begin your day on Bermondsey Street, the lively centre of the community. This charming road is lined with independent cafés, restaurants, galleries, and boutiques. If you're in the mood for breakfast or brunch, The Garrison is a local favourite offering seasonal dishes in a warm and inviting setting. Reviews From Real Travelers
I did not stay at this Airbnb because a month before my scheduled stay, the owner contacted me privately via WhatsApp, demanding that I click on a third-party platform they provided to complete the transaction and pay an additional £1000 deposit; otherwise, they would not reserve the room for us.
I immediately contacted Trip.com customer service, explaining that it was impossible to pay the deposit through a third-party platform; we only accepted the ”deposit upon check-in” clearly stated on the website. However, customer service repeatedly tried to arrange for the Airbnb to collect the deposit through Trip.com and to pay it upon check-in, but the Airbnb refused both attempts.
Because my family was traveling with a 3-month-old baby, I needed to ensure the accommodation was properly arranged. I repeatedly applied for cancellation, but the Airbnb refused each time. The platform's customer service also offered no protection for customers. Left with no other option, I had to no-show and was charged over £760. It was an extremely poor booking experience.

Our family of four booked the Tower Bridge view suite, which was incredibly spacious and came with a kitchen and washing machine – super convenient! The view of Tower Bridge from our window was amazing, and the subway station was just a few steps downstairs, along with a ferry terminal. We used boats and the subway for all our travel, which was really easy. There's a small supermarket a few hundred meters away where you can pick up basic groceries, fruit, and daily necessities. The only downside was the price being a bit high during peak season, but other than that, no complaints! The front desk staff were also very nice! By the way, they provided slippers, toothbrushes, and toiletries, so I didn't even need to use the ones I brought. 😀FromPHP 7,651

The amenities are all L'Occitane, and the apartment is spacious. The balcony offers a direct view of The Shard and the river, perfect for relaxation. It was ideal for a family of four with two bedrooms. We immediately canceled our next hotel reservation and extended our stay here. For the last night, we upgraded to a tower view room with two balconies, one with a tower view and the other with a Tower Bridge view.FromPHP 20,539

South Kensington London|4.09km from city center
The hotel is located in a very safe and convenient area, with easy access to transportation, which is a big plus. However, the service from many staff members was quite disappointing. They did not feel welcoming, especially during breakfast where some staff appeared unfriendly and unapproachable, and service overall was quite limited.
The room experience also did not meet expectations for a 5-star hotel. Housekeeping only changed bed sheets every three days, which feels quite infrequent. The in-room amenities were minimal and not well equipped.
The heating system in the room was also a major issue. The heater was not warm enough, and when I informed the staff, they only provided an extra portable heater, which was not practical in such a small room. The air conditioning could only be adjusted to around 24°C, which made the room too cold at night and too warm during the day, making it very uncomfortable.
Overall, the experience did not feel like a 5-star standard at all, and I would personally prefer to stay elsewhere next time where the comfort and service are much better.FromPHP 9,461

Bank London|3.24km from city center
Booked a 2-night Premier Two Double Beds Room at Pan Pacific London for my son’s graduation trip via trip.com.
The booking stated “pay at hotel,” but unfortunately the hotel pre-collected the payment upon booking instead of charging upon check-in. <PS: I've feedback to trip.com>
Upon arrival, they also deducted GBP300 as a deposit (meaning actually charged, not just pre-authorized/blocked). During check-out, I noticed they planned to refund only GBP280 because they had automatically included a 5% per night “service charge.” Since I usually don’t carefully check hotel bills, I asked why the full GBP300 wasn’t being refunded. The staff replied, “Did you like our service?” and said they could remove the charge if I didn’t wish to pay it.
Honestly, I found this quite unreasonable and unacceptable, especially as it felt like a hidden optional charge rather than something transparently communicated upfront. This is definitely one negative point I would like to highlight.
Apart from that, the room itself was spacious, the bed and mattress were extremely comfortable, and I absolutely loved their warm bathrobes. Housekeeping service was excellent throughout the stay.
However, surprisingly, the mini-bar was not complimentary despite the relatively high room rates for our room type.FromPHP 28,802

The location of this hotel is very good. Got 2 tubes nearby and many bus services. Many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets within 5 mins walking distance.
The hotel is under renovation, our room is just renovated, so it is nice. But as our room is close to their housekeeping room, so it is so noisy as they keep opening and closing the doors and also exit door. It’s quite disturbing.
Cleaniness can be improved as the mugs still have previous lip print on it.

Great hotel in great location. Really pleased with facilities in the room which was super quiet and really clean with exception of carpet, few bits not hoovered but a minor issue for us. However, please ensure you have either a photo driving licence or passport at check in as we encountered quite an unhelpful lady who insisted that despite showing her the Trip emails and my bank cards said she still didn’t know that I was the person in the booking. I generally DO NOT travel for a weekend away to London with my passport (I have an old paper driving licence so not photo ID anyway) she didn’t seem to know what I was talking about when I mentioned this and looked confused! When I asked what I was supposed to do as I’d paid for two nights and had all the bookings just looked at me and repeated that she didn’t know who I was!!! My friend could see I was getting stressed and asked if we could get my husband to email copy of my passport, at which point she ashes if I had another credit/bank card and then proceeded to check us in!!!! Why could she not do this in the first place????? Anyway putting this to one side I would stay again, armed of course with passport!FromPHP 9,053

Our stay here was a breath of fresh air after our experience in a shoebox hotel room in another hotel closer to London Kings Cross.
The hotel has been recently renovated and now has a modern artsy interior. Facilities and interior of the rooms are very new and clean. And we also appreciated the room size which was much more spacious compared to other hotels in London - both of us could open our large size luggages with ample room!
Although the location is not in the center of tourist attractions, we appreciated that the area was abit more quiet and peaceful but still very convenient as only a short walk to the tube (west Brompton district line) which connected us to majority of attractions easily and within short distance. It was also easy to get onto the picadilly line for Heathrow at the end of our trip as picadilly line stations are also close by. There were also busstops right outside our hotel & west brompton station is also an overground station if you need to travel to outside central london

The hotel rep was kind enough to reply that they could not refund or change the dates of my stay when I informed them with proof of an email by Emirates who cancelled the original flight and rescheduled it causing me to lose an entire whole day and of course my paid booking at the hotel. When I finally landed I actually went to have a look and found the hotel as above.
I really hope Trip.com will look into this issue of getting hotels to consider refunds in the event such as illness, emergency or flight cancellations or factors out of customers control regardless of the original clause of non refundable within 24 hours.FromPHP 6,416

They also offer £10 charge to store luggage which was nice for walking around before leaving the area. The lobby is also quite lovely and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again, a wonderful spot in the center of theatres and restaurants.FromPHP 5,961

Excellent location in Ealing ~10 minute walk from the main Ealing Broadway
Can't fault the customer service, they handed us warmed cookies as a welcome.
Hotel room has nespresso machine & pods, twinings tea bag selection & kettle. Smart TV able to cast from phone (android).
Great shower pressure & temperature control. Comfy bed.
Only issue would be the room AC, not sure it worked properly, temperature increased from 19 to 21 degrees overnight in the room, even though it was set at 18 degrees. It may well be the inferior 'fan coil unit' which doesn't seem to work as well.
If you stay over the weekend, there is free side-street parking next to the hotelFromPHP 6,416
