The hotel is in a good location, not in the downtown area, but the bus is very convenient. There is a bus directly to the beach. You can visit the Britannia. The landlord's wife also has a discount card. The bus to the city is also very convenient, and it is very convenient to go directly to Princes Street and museums. The host is from Hong Kong. The wife is very beautiful. She speaks Mandarin and speaks softly. She is super young. The environment is quiet, and there is a large Tesco supermarket not far from the east. Edinburgh is beautiful and you can live here again.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the theatre making it easy to access on foot. My room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, empathetic and understanding as ended up being a solo guest due to unforeseen circumstances and going out of their way to accommodate needs . Food was lovely and staff so attentive . I would recommend and will go back

The apartment is on the first floor (in the UK that is up one flight of stairs - US would be 2nd floor!) of a traditional Georgian New Town apartment building constructed around 1810 - therefore no elevator/lift access! The accommodation comprises 3 double bedrooms (and double and single bed in the two largest bedrooms and a small double in the third bedroom) main shower room, en-suite bathroom, twin windowed living room and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Getting a one-bedroom apartment right by the Royal Mile in Edinburgh in August at this price? What an absolute steal! It's also super close to the train station – the location couldn't be more perfect. This was hands down the best hotel of my entire UK trip. My only minor gripe was the price, but honestly, it was worth every penny. The apartment even came with a washing machine and a full kitchen, which is ideal for longer stays. Just a tip: if you plan to use the washing machine, remember to bring your own detergent, as it's not supplied in the room. The hotel service was outstanding. The staff proactively helped with luggage, which is a massive relief because Edinburgh has a lot of stairs, and getting from the front desk to your room can be quite a trek. This thoughtful service truly made a difference.

The Balmoral Hotel is absolutely superb! We arrived at 8 AM and a lovely Eastern European lady at reception warmly welcomed us and allowed us to check in immediately, saving us the hassle of storing luggage and having nowhere to go. A gentleman in a kilt even helped carry our bags to the room. Beyond the daily cleaning, the housekeeping staff thoughtfully organized all our small items, neatly tying up messy charging cables. The breakfast was lavish and incredibly delicious [strong][strong][strong]! It's worth noting that Room 522 is where J.K. Rowling stayed while writing Harry Potter. It features a unique pink-purple door, distinct from the other white and green ones, and an owl-shaped door knocker, adding a special charm to the entire hotel. Many Harry Potter fans even pay a hefty sum to stay in Room 522 [grin][grin][grin]!

I visited at the end of March, and Edinburgh was still quite cold, especially with the strong winds. The hostel's location is excellent, right by the church on the Royal Mile, making it easy to walk to all the other famous attractions. The room was very clean, and even though I booked a mixed dorm, I was kindly placed in an all-female room. The bed was clean, with a USB charging port, a privacy curtain, a lockable locker, and a shoe cabinet. The communal bathrooms and toilets were spacious, with each shower stall having a separate wet and dry area, plus a hairdryer. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hostel; the waffle I ordered was huge, and guests get a discount. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The room was incredibly spacious, with a separate living room. I'd definitely want to stay here long-term if I visit Scotland again. The room was very quiet, and the living room sofa converts into a bed. All the appliances were high-end brands like Dyson and Smeg. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking. There's an NCP car park under the bridge a bit further down, costing around £25 per night. The hotel is very close to the castle, about a 5-minute walk, and about 10 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

Amazing stay experience at the Ten Hill Place Hotel. I was on a trip with my mother. The staff here made our stay, checking in & out and the whole experience very easy and smooth. We did have some issues in our bathroom which was dealt with promptly by their staff. The place is very conveniently located near the center with major attractions just walks away like the royal mile, victoria street, princes street, castle and the scott monument. If you wish to travel by bus there is a bus stop just 2 mins away as well. We found lidl, sainsbury and some affordable food options just near the hotel. Although the hotel also offers their restaurant with amazing food. Our room had scenic mountain & city landscape views. Overall a very beautiful and convenient stay for people travelling or looking to explore Edinburgh. Highly recommend!!

The location of this hotel is just on the border of the city centre, so it feels a lot quieter compared to right on the High Street. My room was a windowless Queen Room, with plenty of storage space for 2 people.  I quite like the design of the room, where 1 side of the room is the washing facilities. Unfortunately, the night when I stayed, there were many loud door slamming during the night.  I've got woken up many times. I had the breakfast downstairs at around 9:30am, and it closes at 10am.  The hot food was very dry, so probably been sitting around for some time.  If I stay here again, I would go elsewhere for breakfast.

The room was very clean, and the location couldn't be better. It's practically right next to Market Street Station – just a short walk to the left after you exit. The back door leads directly to the Royal Mile, and the front door, after crossing the station, takes you straight to Princes Street. All the classic sights are within walking distance. The only minor complaint is that there's ongoing renovation work on the building behind, and we were assigned a second-floor room facing that side. There was a possibility of being woken up by noise every morning. Next time I stay, I'll definitely request a high-floor room with a view of the hill.

Both being Premier Inns, the Edinburgh branch has significantly better facilities than the London one. Since there weren't any other options when booking, I had to choose one with a walk-in bathroom – and wow, that bathroom was the size of the entire room at the London one! Breakfast was served in a separate outdoor restaurant; the room was spacious, with a wide variety of choices and delicious food. While the London Premier Inn is already quite good, the Edinburgh Premier Inn is truly amazing! This is the difference between the London and non-London areas. Plus, it's not far from any of the major attractions; everything is within walking distance.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location- the most central. Everything else was pretty bad. I have requested a room with a nice view for our special occasion but was given a room with the view of the industrial back wall. Called the manager and he came and apologised and said there were no other rooms left. The room itself was outdated, looked like a hostel rather than a hotel. We have travelled a lot but this was the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our special occasion was ruined. The room was so tiny that it was difficult to squeeze a suitcase between the bed and the wall. The TV had no internet connected. There was no mini fridge. The bathroom entry door was a squeeze. The toilet was so close to the wall that you would be pushed into a wall. No toilet brush either. For the expensive price paid they didn’t even give us a bottle of water or a biscuit. The restaurant is under refurbishment this time and they provide tea/coffee and pastries on level 3 for breakfast free. There is a limited expensive menu to order from reception to your room if you need. The luggage storage facility is limited. When checking out many people were told there was no more room for the luggage storage and those people had to go and look for the pricey luggage storage outside. We met some people also complaining about the hotel. Will never come back to this hotel again.
