We loved our vacation at STGR! Everything is clean and tidy. The grounds, accommodations, pool area, lodge and dining room are nicely decorated and cosy. The horses are well cared for and a pleasure to ride. The goats, donkeys, ponies and miniature horses add to the fun. Elvis creates delicious, healthy meals. He generously accommodated us as pescatarians with dishes such as grilled salmon, stuffed portabello mushrooms, chili, shepherd's pie, stroganoff, and other tasty dishes, all made from scratch by an accomplished chef. We loved having all the salad we could eat with multiple dressing choices and toppings at lunch and dinner. The horseback riding was so much fun. Our expert wrangler, Claire, quickly figured out how we like to ride. Having years of experience, it was so nice to trot, lope, go up and down hills and see new areas of the beautiful desert during every ride. Our horses were comfortable, responsive and sure footed in a rocky, challenging environment. Claire cheerfully took us out in the rain and drizzle several times. She taught us many things about the area and about horses. We had some great conversations. We were very happy to be able to go out for all the rides and loved every outing. Elvis and Claire are valuable assets to this ranch, and although we spent most of our activity time with Claire, we appreciate the contributions of all the staff members and family toward creating wonderful guest experiences. We enjoyed chatting with everyone and experiencing the laid-back atmosphere, all the while knowing that it takes a lot of effort to keep a ranch running smoothly. The fat-tire bikes were great for exploring and getting some exercise when we weren't riding. We took them out several times and also enjoyed playing ping pong and soaking in the hot tub in the evenings. We didn't do other activities that are offered, but we may try them on a future visit. Thank you, STGR family and staff, for a very enjoyable week!

This was a truly joyful experience. Our 20 year daughter asked for a ‘doing’ holiday and we hoped this would fit the bill. It did- in spades! We are novice riders and we walked, trotted and cantered (loped) with support and guidance. Between morning and evening rides we relaxed by pool, tried a bit of shooting (separate price), archery and pool table. Beautiful open skies- great sunsets and sunrises. Food was family orientated - wholesome and tasty. Feel privileged to have had such an experience. Went on to Grand Canyon and vegas- but this was the showstopper part of the tour for us all. Thank you to everyone at stagecoach trails. Blessings, Clare Benzikie

We've just got back from a family holiday road trip around the USA and our visit to Stagecoach Trails Guest Ranch was the absolute highlight of the trip. We booked this specifically because my daughter is really into riding and I used to ride too, so we thought it would be a fun thing to do. It was certainly that and more. We stayed for three nights and got to have 6 rides in total (the first only an hour after we arrived - so no messing around :-)). My daughter and I were each allocated a horse based upon our height, weight and ability - I got Vegas and she got Trigger, and they were perfect for us. Since it was August when we went, so super hot, the rides were first thing in the morning 6am and then in the evening at 6pm, which meant avoiding the hottest parts of the day, which would have been unbearable to ride during and not good for the horses. But that meant we got to ride whilst watching the sunset and rise - what could be more magical. They have over 50 horses there, so something for everyone, and I have to say the horses are in superb condition and well looked after. Nico took us out for our rides, he was excellent, taking us on different routes for each ride, and telling us all sorts of information and history about the area. Since we're pretty experienced riders he was able to take us for quite a bit of cantering (loping) which we loved. I'm amazed at how nimble and sure footed our horses were - I felt 100% safe on Vegas. As soon as we arrived at Stagecoach we were given a warm welcome by Tristan who showed us around and answered all our questions. Tristan was always on hand during our stay to help out with things - including teaching us how to lasso! He took my husband and a few other guests off to a shooting range to try out a few guns and my husband loved that. They've got a wonderful set up there - when you're not riding you can hang out in the saloon where they have loads of games that you can help yourself to and also a pool table (which my daughter loved). There is a snug just off the saloon with a massive TV and a big library of videos to watch. Then there is the dining room where they serve delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. They've set it up so that it's all very socialable and lots of opportunities to mix with the other guests. We became great friends with another group from England - riding and eating with them every day and playing various games in the evenings. It all felt so relaxing. Oh yes and there is also the swimming pool and hot tub. So even if you're not riding, like my husband, there is still plenty to do, or you can just relax. The other thing I wanted to mention is that Tristan and the rest of the team are super relaxed and accommodating. Our trip there was booked by an agent who had failed to let them know that we're all vegetarian (despite me asking them several times to make sure that they did so), the Stagecoach team took this in their stride and still served us amazing food for each meal. The ranch is family owned and everyone makes sure you are part of the family. With an exceptional backdrop of the Mohave Mountains the ranch is settled in the middle of the desert. The 60 Horses and heaps of other cute animals are in excellent shape, well trained and looked after. Next to the 2 rides a day there are plenty other activities to choose from like Shooting , Atv & Military Jeep excursions, Archery and many more. The Wranglers doing there job with a passion and if you have a chance - meet Cowboy John- the legend. With all the stagecoaches collected and the replicated old Western town, the metal Art around the property we are glad to have experienced a wonderful time and it felt we were in one of these old classic Western Movies like Django - which was btw my horses name. We were also proud to be the first Fijians to visit this cool place and we shall meet again. Vinaka Vakalevu to our new friends - Chief JP and his tribe. Howdy.
